Í´m satisfied with the toe spacers, toe resistance band and training tutorials. Wish I had it tjueto years ago. Exercise is the best.
The TFC Solemate kit has truly been the best purchase for my feet in decades. I wore orthotics to help with pronation for 30+ years & have been weening myself off them for the last 2-3 years. Watching... See more

Wild Toes lasted less than 4 weeks but I did get a replacement
Great website and videos but the Wild Toes I bought started to tear after 2 weeks and the loop for the big toe broke completely before I had even had them a month. I emailed twice to the Foot Collective website to politely ask if they could advise me how to avoid this but I have had no reply after 2 weeks although the website says they reply within two days. I also tried to answer their email requesting a review but page just goes blank before I can write anything. Great ideas, great marketing but poor customer service is badly letting them down - and I don't think the Wild Toes are fit for purpose (even though they are very comfortable)
Update 4 September 2025
In spite of the above problem I still loved what TFC is doing so I attended one of their workshops in Bristol and it was great. Before the workshop I emailed the organisers to say I would like to raise the problem about the Wild Toes. I got a great email back and they sent me replacement Wild Toes. Seems the customer service issue has been sorted which I am very pleased about

Great, prompt and friendly customer service and super product. Lovely purchase experience
Runner's Restoration
I was having recurring pain from running long distances. I had already made the switch to zero drop shoes with wider toe boxes and incorporating more strength training during the week, but the Foot Restoration Program was the missing piece. I'm finally running without pain in my feet or ankles, and I feel like I'm on the path to stronger hips and knees as well. The videos are short and easy to follow, and the sole mate is a great way to make the exercises more challenging. I will continue using some of the exercises as warm-up/cool down before and after my runs, even after the program is over.
Excellent Program!
Excellent Program!! I wasn't sure what I was in for when I signed up, but I am really glad that I did. The program was easy to follow and the exercises could be adapted to any level. My mindset has changed and I notice that I have become more mindful when I am walking, standing or even squatting. I have found that my balance and flexibility is so much greater than when I began. I even find myself doing the exercises at random times throughout the day. I can certainly see the Program becoming an everyday habit because I feel so much better afterwards.
The Best Feet Up Programme
Brilliant programme.
Content and quality of information is first class. Jim Dooner is top class at explaining and demonstrating the exercises. Lots of background information to explain the reason for the exercises and the sequence they are presented. Programme is well constructed so easy to follow and record your progression as you undertake the exercises. My improvement with long standing foot and and hip related injuries has been a revelation. Even when I finish the programme I will keep on repeat, its that good. Get this programme and stick with it, you will not regret your decision.
Educational and life changing!
This foot restoration program is excellent! I am learning so much about foot function and how the whole body is connected in movement, breath, and mindset. Before I started the program, I could barely move my toes, wobbled a lot, and couldn't balance on one leg for very long. With daily practice following the fun and well-explained exercises in this program, I can now splay all my toes, flex them more, walk longer without soreness, feel more balanced on one leg, and can also get down and up from the ground without using my hands. The breathwork is a constant work in progress as I notice I forget to breathe using my diaphragm. I highly recommend this program for anyone at any age and capacity to see improvements within weeks!
Excellent guided program for improving foot and ankle function and stab
I have a multitude of difficult ankle, foot and toe issues due to a genetic condition and injuries - for which I have been working on for some time...but sadly, have been deteriorating over the past few years.
I came across this program due to a previous training/physiotherapy aid purchase, and thought, why not give it a try....
The program is very well set out, and planned which guided videos and self-assessment tools (which were easy to follow along). I was thrilled to see/regain some big toe engagement and activation (my big toes are in a chronically subluxed position) - even my physio has commented on the improvement. I have also gained a little strength and balance (and a little bit of confidence walking on uneven surfaces - my big weakness).
The Foot Collective really take the foot training process to the next level, as well as make it accessible to just about everyone.
I still have a lot more to improve on - but, The Foot Collective's Foot Restoration Program has been a real lifesaver and a key factor in restoring some of my foot, toe and ankle function, strength and balance. I intend to keep on with the exercises and training program, so I can continue to improve this
I highly recommend this program to anyone that has foot, ankle and toe problem/issues.
It works!
Super easy to follow, relate to and fit into a busy day so I've managed to sustain engagement easily. Plenty of options so I could choose the level of exercise appropriate to me. My feet look and feel different and I'm noticing improvements in my running and recovery in my feet knees and hips.
Strong, flexible feet = better living and aging
I found the Foot Collective through a podcast a few months after spraining my ankle. I was trying to understand what happened and how to prevent injuring my ankle again, so the ideas Jim Dooner shared really spoke to me. I was excited when they announced the Foot Restoration program and have found it exactly what I needed. I have particularly enjoyed the different stretches and toe and ankle mobility exercises. Putting it all together with the balance and strengthening work in the second section of the program is excellent. Going up and down the stairs is no problem, and I find my knees far less crunchy sounding. My ankle is feeling solid and strong, and I've started a back-to-run program in barefoot shoes. I can even squat all the way down to the ground without pain - something I never thought I'd be able to do again. I'm 45 years old, and my legs, feet and joints feel way better than they have for 15 or more years.
Highly recommend
Well presented programme, great support. I found the guided steps easy to follow. Loved the check ins, and that the library was available to refer back to. Highly recommend - my feet are moving again without pain
Good for your feet, good for you.
I had been following the Foot Collective videos on youtube for a while, so when their 12 week foot restoration program went live I knew it was just the thing I needed - I loved all the individual exercises, but I needed a plan that put it all together! This program does a great job starting slow and gradually increasing the physical and time demands, so it's not only good from the PT side of things but also pedagogically, using a good habit forming structure. The instructors are encouraging and gentle while providing as much challenge as you are ready to take on.
I have hereditary bunions and had corrective surgery when I was a teenager. Since then, I have become more and more convinced of the role gait and movement habits play in the (de)formation of our feet. I'm 10 weeks in to the program now and noticing my bad foot "being good" more and more. Also, no knee pain at 30 weeks pregnant with lots of extra weight on me, and I'm wondering whether my ankle is even realigning gradually. I'm excited to see what continued exercise and practise will do!
Helps with balance
Great program. I started off on my journey dealing with balance issues. I continue to have some challenges with my balance, but I have noticed that my balance has improved. I was one who walked on the inside of my feet and through the training often find myself consciously correcting my gait. This program has been very informative and a great resource. thanks.
Plantar Fasciitis Relief and So Much More
Anyone dealing with chronic foot pain—or simply looking to stay strong and mobile at 65+—would benefit enormously from SoleMate training and The Foot Collective’s Foot Restoration Program. This program is extraordinarily well developed and doable! I’ve been doing the Foot Restoration Program for ten weeks now, and I’m feeling real change.
It feels so good to follow head trainer Jim Dooner’s guidance—at my own pace and range—and see steady progress. The program runs for 12 weeks, but I can keep the content for continued practice. My plantar fasciitis pain has significantly improved!
I stay motivated by the micro improvements I notice in every session—better balance and more foot strength. Still not sure? Check out an episode of *The Foot Collective Restore 2 Explore* podcast or look up Jim Dooner and The Foot Collective on YouTube. It’s worth the effort!
Well thought and very engaging
I am very happt that I've joined this program. It has a very clever way of building up your habit of doing the routine and it is helping me gain even more awareness of my feet and how to support myself better in my personal movement practice.
Great course and great results
The course was well structured, the video content instructive and encouraging. Was able to really improve my balance and food function, but the greatest improvement was in my confidence around movement that I didn't realise I had lost.
Highly recommend
The foot restoration program is fantastic.
I had chronic tight calves which started to manifest as big toe pain and was progressively getting worse, to the point where I was avoiding running, and when I did run, I would be in pain for days afterwards.
This is not just a bunch of exercises with sets and reps, it is an education, you will learn the exercises required to get your feet moving again but also how to build habits, progressively load an exercise and to self reflect.
These have become skills transferrable to all apsects of my life.
Calf tightness has improved significantly and pain after running has gone.
Currently still finishing the 'Build' phase of the program but will continue expanding and learning more.
Do this program, you will get results.
I have been following TFC for awhile now and this app is a great & easy way for anyone to get started & keep working on improving their foot/overall health.
The app is easy to use & follow along.
There is a bunch of extra content that is also easy to find & review.
While I do have a few tools at home, my next step is to purchase the SoleMate Kit & start exploring new movement possibilities.
My feet feel more real, my daily movement practice more controlled & walking is a little more fun.
Fantastic course
Fantastic course, really clear videos and instructions - easy to follow. Most importantly, the results are there.
So good!
I have been wearing barefoot shoes for at least five years and always wanted to complement their usage with some foot training because of all the years wearing regular shoes. This program is awesome and definitely has made my feet stronger and helped a lot with awareness, breathing and balance. my slacklining ability improved after finishing it for sure
Self paced program provided relief
The self-paced program has enabled me to reduce pain in my feet by improving flexibility and strength. The podcasts explained in more depth about the weekly focus and the benefits of the training. Made sense and helped me to keep going. The app is easy to use and follow. Great program thank you !
