Very poor experience
Unfortunately, my experience with The English Bed Company has been disappointing.
The bed itself appears to be of good quality, but the slat system supplied was completely unsuitable. Around 30 loose slats repeatedly fell out of position, making the bed unusable and requiring constant adjustment. This was clearly not fit for purpose.
Once the issue had been investigated they supplied a replacement set of slats, which has resolved the problem. However, this only came after a significant amount of inconvenience, time spent corresponding with the company, and the frustration of having a brand-new bed that could not be used properly.
They have offered £90 compensation, which I appreciate as a gesture, but it does not reflect the level of inconvenience caused. I have also been left with approximately 80 redundant slats, which now need to be disposed of at my own expense unless the company arranges collection.
I expected much better quality control and customer experience from a company positioning itself as a premium British bed manufacturer. Whilst the problem has eventually been resolved, the overall experience has fallen well below expectations. If, like me you are looking to invest in a quality bed for a beautiful bedroom I would think twice before ordering here, not because of their product but because if you do have any issues they will not be able to resolve it in a reasonable manner.

Excellent purchase of second bed this year
We purchased our second recent bed from the English Bed Company and were not disappointed. Even though this new bed was a clearance item it nevertheless came pristine and the quality shows. They delivery company too was excellent and the guys had it installed in double quick time. Would always use EBC from now on.

Quality bed
The new bed has arrived and it is a piece of quality furniture. It looks good, and the mechanism of the ottoman is so smooth.
I’ve given it 4 stars because it was 8 weeks in the makings, not the 4/6 quoted and there was no communication to let us know how it was progressing. This resulted in the mattress we ordered being packaged too long and being spoiled 😔

Very comfortable, worth the wait in the end.
Having done a fair bit of research I settled on the English Bed Company for our new bed. The delivery time was scheduled for 6/8 weeks but was more like 13/14 weeks which was a little disappointing, however the bed has arrived and we are thoroughly impressed with it. Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever had.
It looks really great too and finishes off our bedroom nicely.
I would have liked more information about when the bed was ready instead of lots of emails asking for pictures of a bed I didn't yet have. I had to follow up with phone calls to find out any information. The delivery team were very efficient and put it altogether quickly and without fuss.
Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and comfort.

Fantastic quality & craftsmanship!
We took delivery of our new bed last week and could not be happier, the quality of materials and workmanship is superb. We're delighted to have such a beautifully crafted & English made piece of furniture in our home.

Nice sample size and variety
