I'm extremely disappointed with the calming bed I just purchased, as well as with the customer service I received. I bought the bed for my foster pup who just underwent major surgery; I chose it because of its supposed comfort/calming, and its machine washability. Since my foster pup was coming home from hospital with serious wounds healing, I washed the bed before use to eliminate any potential contaminants from manufacturing. It came out of one wash and dry in terrible shape - what had been soft fluffy fur was now coarse and matted, and the filling was completely bunched up in clumps leaving other sections of the bed empty with no stuffing at all. Even after kneading and fluffing it for ages and trying to untease the fur, it is still in terrible shape. I reached out to customer support hoping to return the bed for a refund, which, had I received, I would have left a positive review, but instead I was basically told they won't refund me because I washed the bed. The bed is a faulty product, does not perform as advertised, and I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of resolution in this issue. The company would have earned merit in my eyes if they had stood behind the quality of their product and the claims their advertising made. It's unfortunate, because it's important to me to support local and Canadian businesses (my family and I run a small business also), but this kind of poor customer service and recourse for low quality/performance is often what drives people to purchase from Amazon instead.
