Jaz is a very energetic and fun instructor. Very responsive to his student’s individual needs and desires. While my time with him was short due to my work and gig constraints, the knowledge and encouragement he shared with me have been priceless. I look forward to my schedule allowing more time with him. I recommend him to all level of players, he will find a way to guide you along the bass journey.

I was five years self taught when I started this course and I felt I was in a rut so to speak. As much as I loved playing I wasn't sure which direction I should go, I found myself just practicing the same exercises over and over. I joined the Complete Bassist with Jaz and he met me where I was at in regards to my skill level so to speak and we started there. Jaz helped me to understand music theory which I did not know much about it or understand it. Though it is still challenging I have a much better understanding of it. Also Jaz would challenge me, I would submit videos and he would review them and give me honest feedback even on the little things to improve on and he would challenge me after showing me and giving me examples on how to do certain things in regards to muting, fingering, palm muting however small he would bring to my attention. Bottom line I felt I was constantly learning under his mentorship.

I have been working with Jaz for just a little over a month and I can honestly say he is one of the most organized and through instructors I have ever worked with. He knows how to zero in on your goals, customize a plan, and deliver it an easy to digest format that is good for all types of learners. For the group coaching, he provides numerous opportunities to hop on calls every week and provides great updates on anything he thinks will be useful for his students in improving their musical skills. I cannot recommend him enough!

Greatly enjoyed learning from Jaz Moss to sharpen skills on the bass. He's an excellent teacher with intimate knowledge of his craft and has an easy demeanor in working with every student, no matter the skill level. He also has put together an array to superb online tools to help with everything from fingering techniques to ear training to site reading.

Before I met Jaz or knew anything about his teaching, I knew totally nothing about music theory and how it works. I've been playing bass for over 30 years, but never knew how music really works behind the scene.

After these 6 months my music life totally changed. I was once blind but now I see, once death but now I can hear. When ever I pick up my bass now I can just see music all down my fretboard, I can hear the music coming off my fretboard, it's like I have a 3rd eye into music which I never had before. Jaz and the Bass Mastermind school has thought me alot. Thank you so much and I will continue in your course.

Jaz the instructor is very detailed, open, honest and very informative about what he's teaching to make sure you're pickiup up the material. Accountability is what I needed from the course also. Having a course being thought to you via video's is not the way to go. You need a live person to show you the ropes that way you can ask questions on the spot.

I can also apply some of the material to my upright bass studies as well. Love the course.

The Bass Mastermind course has generated positive effects on my bass playing. Example: Being able to relate to other musicians in a effective manor. The creation of a custom practice plan provides direction to bass playing improvement. As one enters the course, the immediate guidance to shortcomings delivers fast results. There are many other benefits. I believe any bass player, experienced or otherwise will find great value in Bass Mastermind. I look forward to continuing the course.

Seems to me Jaz, is teaching.
It takes the student to first enjoy music. To learn to listen to the notes, the phasing, and the chords. In my case, I am lazy.
Jaz, has to save me from my bad habits. I am sure with direction and pushing through. I will be learning to read and write music.

Jas Moss is an incredible teacher. He makes me excited to practice. Always the encourager he is quick to point out my strengths first and then areas to improve on. That’s powerful! Over the years I have had many teachers, and Jaz is the best.

The materials are extensive, and have different levels of skill, I find I can match my skill level to the materials easily. Your enthusiasm and experience is very extensive and I see a lot of value sticking with the program. The meetings/forums are open and bring up a lot of good information. It is refreshing to have a non-competitive environment to express our questions and opinions. I think this program works for beginners to skilled players looking to get more out of their playing.

The Bass Mastermind is just what i was looking for. The program is comprehensive and focused on key elements to improve ones playing. Learning songs and analyzing lines across a variety of genres is strengthening my foundation. The program is built to be accessible from starter to advanced. I recommend the Bass Mastermind!

I have been playing bass professionally for about 35 years, during that time I have had to read music a few times. Even though I know how to read music I was never at a level where I was confident I could work in more demanding reading gigs. This course has rectified that. From the way everything was broken down from the fundamentals to more complex reading, over the course of the 8 weeks, I found myself growing in confidence plus was really enjoying the process. I can look at any Chart with confidence I could read it without finding it daunting at all. This is a big tick for me.

Jas is masterful. He impressed me with his skilled bass playing style as well as his approach on teaching. His method and answers to questions was easy to understand. I enjoyed the course and would highly recommend it to anyone who was interest improving their bass playing.

Bass Mastermind Sight Reading Mastery is the perfect program for anyone who wants to read Bass clef. The program has inspired me to keep improving my Bass vocabulary and skill level. Jaz is a really thoughtful person and teacher.
