WORST SHOES EVER
"I am leaving 2 stars because the ordering process and delivery were acceptable. However, I threw the shoes straight into the garbage. Nothing about them is Italian or authentic; they are bottom-tier Chinese shoes made of cardboard, poorly glued, and machine-fused to low-grade rubber. The chinese authorities should seriously penalize companies like this."
Order #4809 – A deeply frustrating after-sales experience
Order #4809 – A deeply frustrating after-sales experience
I am sharing my experience factually so that other customers can make their own assessment.
I ordered two pairs of shoes from The Aurea. The sizes delivered corresponded to the sizes I ordered; my issue began when I requested to exchange both pairs for EU size 38.
Aurea initially told me that I did not need to return the original items and provided the CHANGE50 code to obtain replacements. Using that code resulted in a charge of €24.95 per pair — €49.90 total.
I repeatedly asked one simple question: if both replacement pairs could be shipped together, why was I being charged two separate €24.95 “reshipping/replacement” fees?
What followed was an extraordinary sequence of customer-service responses.
I was offered a 30% refund without return, then 40%, then 50%. I explicitly declined the 50% refund, yet Aurea subsequently emailed me saying that my “50% refund request” had been forwarded internally. I corrected them immediately and made clear that I had NOT accepted it.
After that, I was offered 30% again, followed later by 50% again.
I repeatedly requested that the complete case be escalated to a manager and specifically asked not to receive the same generic return/refund responses again. Nevertheless, I continued receiving essentially the same options, including instructions to return the products to Shenzhen, China at my expense.
I eventually made my position completely clear: I did not want 30%, 40% or 50% back. I would not pay another €49.90. The shoes that do not fit will be donated. This was never about obtaining money from the company.
My criticism concerns the handling of the case: contradictory responses, repeated failure to address specific questions, apparent failure to follow the correspondence history, and no meaningful response to my repeated request for managerial review.
Consumers should also read The Aurea's published policies carefully. At the time of writing, parts of the website advertise “GUARANTEED RETURNS WITHIN 60 DAYS”, while the Refund Policy states a 30-day return policy.
I have retained the complete email correspondence, order documentation and screenshots supporting everything described above.
This is my documented experience with The Aurea and Order #4809. Other consumers can draw their own conclusions.
Good prices
Ordering was easy and product arrived…
Ordering was easy and product arrived in 2 weeks in obvious Chinese wrapped delivery package. These 200% are not suede nor ultra suede. It is made of cloth and fraudulently stated made it Italy. Chinese made.
That said for the price extremely comfortable and will last about 6 months to a year maximum. Runs narrow. If you are ok with Chinese fake suede and a low price, you’ll be just fine with these

Avoid this website and products
Ordered from this website.
Ordered loafers and clothing. Took over 2 weeks to arrive, when it arrived the quality was not good at all. Cheap Chinese manufactured items, stinking of glue. Not crafted in Italy as suggested on Website, which also quoted a 60 day refund policy. Sizes were also considerably smaller than they should be. Sent several emails requesting a refund, was stonewalled with offers of discounts on future purchases. Have now raised dispute for goods received - not as described. Would avoid this site and its products completely.

Highly recommend not ordering from this company
I ordered a linen shirt and shots. When I received the items they were poor quality polyester. They looked nothing like the pictures on their web site from which I ordered . I would highly recommend NOT ordering anything from this company
I requested a full refund, provided them with pictures of what I received and the pictures of what that advertised
They only offered me a discount. Again I would recommend not purchasing from them they falsely advertise the quality of thier products and that they have a 30 day refund
