Magically changed order settings in packaging/sending options

It's so cringe that some order get messed up that doesn't make sense at all.

So as you all know you can set your shipping and packaging preferences that apply for your (pre-)orders. (You basically set this normally once)

Last year out of the blue they messed up an order that was send without any protection (Also didn't get charged for it). But you get it the package came in in really rough shape. Also the comics banged up by the transport.

Fine contacted support and they said yeah your settings where changed.

So now my last experience tops it all. Now i saw a statement incoming from my creditcard company that was extremely high compared to all other payments done in the past. So looked it up and my order was shipped with high shipping costs? This joke costed me almost 65 euros in total where it normally costs like 10euros.

The only things they can say in support is sorry and it would not happen again and you must have changed it yourself and then the support team changes these settings back?

I asked for a refund or a concession but nothing.

The joke is i ordered many times i think (10/12 orders and probably in 1 to 3 batches, probably around +- 20 comics/books).

And overall i was happy but this tops it for me leaving a bad review.

So 2 orders where magically different then all the other orders that came in correctly.

To be clear my last experience was also the last order i should receive from them. But this is also the experience that makes me never order again with them.

You all have been warned.

Absolutely terrible Customer Service

Absolutely terrible Customer Service. They cancelled an order I had waited a significant amount of time for, and were nearly impossible to get help from. Phones go unanswered. Chat is mostly unmanned. After several HOURS being #1 in the chat queue I encountered an incredibly rude associate. Avoid these guys like the plague, because you will be disappointed.

Do Not Pre-order

I loved TFAW until today. Yesterday I clicked preorder on a couple comics, figured out they weren't what I wanted, went to remove them, and couldn't. I emailed TFAW to cancel the preorders and was told it would put a strike on my account, and I already had two. I was never told about any strikes. I had asked them to remove a couple items before which were *very* late on fulfillment, but wasn't told anything about getting a "strike." So they penalize my account for their bad service.

Failing to ship preorders, ripping me off

You guys keep shipping my preorders One item at a time for the past few months and really ripping me off. I have spoken with customer service serveral times and you won't let me cancel preorders even though you are failing to ship them on time or ship items together. It's actually quite pathetic. You just charged me almost 18 dollars for one funko pop shipment, 8 for the pop and 8 for shipping.... When other pops pn my preorder list are released the same date and I have my preorders set to every 4 weeks so they should be consolidated. Shipping FYI does not cost that much to ship a funko either... I don't know why you guys can't either cancel my preorders as requested or ship out my preorders all together like you used to and you're supposed to. I also got charged so far for multiple shipments for the same comic book that I preordered 15 copies for. It has now been 3 shipments and I only recieved a portion of those 15. You're still going to eventually ship the rest one by one I'm sure and rip me off. It's unbelievable for you guys to think this os Okay and not fix this for me. I just want my account deleted and preorders gone because I never want to shop with you again. You guys will be seeing chargebacks if you keep shipping items individually. Honestly this is pretty criminal to think it is okay to ship out items one at a time and I end up spending almost 20 bucks for an 8 dollar funko, or spend almost 10 bucks for one single $3 comic to be shipped out instead of shipping them together. Please talk to a supervisor and get this fixed for me, this is not fair at all.

DO NOT preorder from them

DO NOT preorder from them. They will end up shipping you out a few units at a time, charging you individual shipping fees for each comic. I just got an over 8 dollar charge because they decide to ship 1 out of 15 units by itself. It has been months since the comic was released and so far in 3 separate shipments they have only shipped 4 out of 15 total units of the same comic book. This is the worst system on any comic site that exists. I never agreed to pay a bunch of individual shipping fees. I tried to cancel my preorders because of this but customer service said they can't. I call BS

Four orders = two success

The first and the third order on this site was successful. But on the second parcel instead of my name, it was indicated "????? ?????" and I couldn't receiveit. I wrote to support, they told me that they would figure it out. But six months have passed, and when I asked them again, support answered that the return isn't their priority. Later, I ordered a book, but it never arrived. Support doesn't answere.
Separately It is worth mentioning that the site does not allow you to directly select the delivery service but only its type. I chose not the cheapest one, but they send me packages with the worst and the most unreliable delivery service which Tracking Number doesn't work.

Shockingly bad service

I placed an order for one book. Paid for one book via the checkout. Then two weeks later two books arrived in two boxes, two separate invoices. I checked my credit card statement and I had been billed twice. It seems their order confirmations had gone into spam and I was unaware this occurred until they arrived with me.

I attempted to contact them by email and got no reply after several days. Covid19, so partially understandable. I then used live chat today and was basically told to return it. No apology or acceptance at all that this might be their fault. So much for the customer always being right.

I asked for it to be collected or a pre-paid label provided - they refused. They also failed to offer to reimburse me transportation costs if I paid for it myself.

The issue is that they are in the US and I am in the UK. The cost to return a book this heavy by DHL exceeds what I paid for it (around £41) and is therefore not realistic. I explained this several times and was met with a repetitive response that I would need to return it to get a refund. He then changed tack and asked me to refuse the delivery (even though it was delivered) but once I explained I had to open it to check was inside he changed his mind and said that was not possible and I would need to pay to return it myself - despite my repeating this would cost more than the item...

He eventually offered to pass it to a manager, but did not seem confident when or if I would receive any better resolution.

Really shocking service. They essentially duped my order through a glitch in their website and charged me twice, then refused to even entertain it was their issue and then refused to do anything about it, essentially demanding I return it, knowing full well I could/would not due to the cost involved.

Given that this was essentially an unauthorised transaction, what should have happened is an unreserved apology, a promise to investigate their systems to ensure this cannot happen again and an immediate full refund. Then they can sort out collections or pre-paid labels or whatever if they wanted it back.

Would give zero stars if I could and will obviously never use again.

It always takes them forever to check…

It always takes them forever to check in and ship out orders. No point in buying 2-4 business shipping to get the order sooner, because the order will still ship out slow and will be a waste of extra money. You email to complain about this to them and they just don't care and are condescending in their reply email. Could just be a automated reply which is worse.
