Accused of shoplifting but I had paid
Purchased at Littlehampton Express
4 items scanned & paid at self pay machine & got a receipt.
After leaving the store whilst in the street a member of their staff approached me saying I hadn’t paid, I showed him the goods & receipt that I had paid, he said ok & walked away, in hindsight I should have got him to call the police, maybe as I’m in my 70s I wasn’t quick enough to put brain into gear.
I called their customer services, got reference number but nobody came back to me, I chased for the third time to now be told Tesco policy is not to contact the customer & if I want I can return to store & ask to speak to the manager, what a disgusting company.
Clubcard scam APH parking
Saved £20 in Tesco points expecting to cut down the bill for £40 in aph parking. When I used the voucher, the price wasn’t £40 cheaper, only £18 which is a scam. It used to be 3x points and proper discount and now it’s a total scam.
When I contacted Tesco customer service, they said that it’s not their fault. I knew that the conversation leads into chasing a wild goose… If it was my business partner, I’d seize partnership.

I lived in this area for years , this shop is my to go to. Not only for a good price but for excellent service by Jacqueline in self service. She’s always greeting people with a smile.
I truly believe that right attitude and people who enjoy they job will make your experience better .
Tesco misleading advertising strikes…
Tesco misleading advertising strikes again. The Tesco app advertises Febreze Bathroom Air Freshener as ('Any Three for Six Pounds'). Only it is not any three, it is any three 'except some selected fragrances. Surely it should not cost more for one fragrance over another as it does at Tesco Kingston Park under the offer. Could this 'possibly be a ploy to catch out unsuspecting shoppers' like myself and charge them seven pounds fifty for the three (£2.50) each, instead of the six pounds as advertised? One pound fifty in itself is not a King's ransome. However, if two or three people are caught out each day this will mount up quickly over the duration of the offer.
Complaining to Customer Service and a Duty Manager at Tesco Kingston Park I was told it was my fault for not checking the shelf, and that I should not take their advertising at face value. Could this possibly be an admission that Customer Service and Managment acknowledge false advertising is used to catch out unsuspecting shoppers? No wonder Tesco's market Share is dwindling with such poor service and lack of care about customers. If I could give no stars I would. This is the second time I have found misleading advertising at Tesco Kingston Park
Tesco doesn’t care about you, your pets or the environment. Important info for cat owners - please read.
It’s 3.30am & I’m awake looking at ingredients of the ONLY cleaning product I use that isn’t Method. My much loved 1 year old cat died today, liver failure caused by unknown toxins.
The product in question is Tesco own brand marble & granite cleaner which I’ve used regularly in his very short life.
I’m not saying the product caused his death but it certainly wouldn’t have helped and my research has raised some serious concerns both on the safety of the product for pets and humans alike along with disbelief at the description of said product and application instructions, especially on an area used for food preparation.
Before we look at the list of questionable ingredients, let me point out that there is NO other brand of marble cleaner offered by Tescos, Method does have a none toxic pet and human safe natural alternative. Tesco does sell Method cleaning products but not this one.
Let’s start. The description reads ‘a gentle but effective formula’. It’s misleading. It may well be gentle for the worktop but there is nothing gentle about the ingredients.
Laurylamine dipropolenediamine
Under GHS labelling the signal word is DANGER
4 hazard statements -
Toxic if swallowed
Causes severe burns and eye damage
May cause damage to organs through repeated exposure
Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects
Methylisothiazolinone
GHS signal word again is DANGER
6 hazard statements
Toxic if swallowed
Toxic in contact with skin
Severe skin burns & eye damage
Allergic skin reaction
Fatal if inhaled
Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects
Benzisothiazolinone
Again Danger
5 hazard statements
Harmful if swallowed
Causes skin irritation
May cause an allergic reaction
Causes serious eye damage
Very toxic to aquatic life.
Yes… there is very small print on the bottle and larger print on the website with warnings and recommendations about facemasks, goggles, gloves but would you look further, bearing in mind they’ve described this monstrosity as Gentle?
Oh and let’s look at directions for use on the food prep area shall we? Spray on, leave for 20 seconds, wipe away with a ‘damp’ cloth…
How much of this chemical warfare concoction is still on the worktop?
Why aren’t the warnings in the description?
Why are they selling products with these types of chemicals in them?
their environmental sustainability governance report is obviously words to tick a box as obviously profits mean more.
Why did I have to search through a list of unpronounceable jargon to work out whether it was pet safe to use even when dry?
Disgusting and disgraceful.
Went shopping on a Sunday
Went shopping on a Sunday
Packed with students who had emptied the shelves and just barged in front of me and stood in the way of some older customers .
We live near a University and I realise that it may have been freshers week but please show some manners and consideration.
Perhaps they should have allocated slots to shop .
There was hardly any stock on the shelves and the quality of some of the fresh produce was poor.
Come on Tesco , if you want to keep your customers make more of an effort.
There is a lot of competition out there and people will go elsewhere
Great customer service
On Sunday 29th October at 12:10 approx, I was in the queue at my local Tesco supermarket in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. The cashier was a lovely lady called Anna, what made the experience exceptional was a customer who had a disability, Anna took her time & made sure her bags were packed & put them in the trolley for her, the lady was struggling with a hand held trolley, Anna took the time, fitted it too the Tesco trolley but made sure that customer left there OK. On a personal note, the fact that Anna took this time & ensured that customer was OK, made my experience better.
Well done Anna xx
Waste of my valuable time
Thought it would be quick and easy. Waited 25 mins after scanning code then had to bag it myself. Could have shopped myself and got home 10 times quicker. Will never use this service again. If you are thinking of using this service, don't bother.
Chicken and Pancetta Bake to be avoided
I am reporting the very poor quality of a ready meal product - Roast Chicken and Pancetta Bake. I cannot believe there was 21% chicken in the dish; chicken pieces or even shreds were hard to find. There was just one small square of pancetta. Was that the 2% claimed? It almost entirely comprised mushy squares of potato, truly unappetising. I suggest Tesco challenge your suppliers of this product, (marketing ironically as Tesco Finest), on the ingredients and quantities they claim. I do all my main shopping at Tesco, including a regular online order and I'm not in the habit of complaining, but this was awful.
I've posted on the Tesco comments section, but it states that no one will come back to me, even though they read the post. Not good.

I would like to feedback regarding the repeated poor service given by some of the team at Tesco Meir Park cafe. We are regular visitors and are consistently left waiting to be served while several of the staff ignore you.
I have seem elderly people waiting for up to 10 minutes while the staff do other things.
From a customer service background myself, I find this unexceptable.

Currently NO frozen veg available for home delivery aside from Okra! Pointless having a delivery plan these days - doubt will renew and will go with Ocado.
Robbed of £84.10 by Tesco Online to receive no food at al !!!
Ordered a delivery online for 8-9pm 22nd Sept (yesterday) Confirmed ok by Tesco on 21st online. Messaged at 2pm on 22nd Sept with all items confirmed . Next message was circa 7pm to apologise for a delay due to their problem at the store but said will deliver by 21.55 and will notify me if further delay by them. At 22.00 I tried to phone them as still no show but it was auto answered as they'd closed for the night . Imagine how a severely disabled 76 year old had to incur extra costs arranging and paying for a carers time and travel costs to help me for a non delivery !!! Then even worse I checked my bank account online to find that they had charged me £6.99 for a months Delivery Pass and they'd further already charged £57.11 for items they'd not delivered or even informed me about their clearly breaching sales contract law. Hopefully they'll at least have the decency to make amends immediately in the morning by cancelling the order and refunding the £64.10 that they've already stolen from me plus the £20 that I paid my carer for her time after 9.45 at night plus her 2x Taxi fares !!
That there are people who will go above and beyond with their customer service 😊
I’d like to personally thank Elaine at the main Exeter store for going above and beyond with her customer service. My daughter was really worried that the kendamil organic milk no 1…currently on a shortage and she wanted to buy 6 tins for her 3 month old baby. Elaine stuck to her word and let us know when it had arrived so we could come in and buy it! It has instilled faith in people who do actually care! Elaine thankyou so much for your efforts over this past week on behalf of my daughter and I, her mum 😊

One star because I couldn’t give minus 10 stars.
So I see price gouging at tescos continues, the latest example being their Salmon Wellington which rose from £6.55 to £7.50 and all their other salmon price went up.
Meanwhile at ALDIs the exact same Salmon Wellington is priced at £4.49 ( the company that makes these supplies both supermarkets)
Robbery by any other name, no wonder they are losing market share
Sue is Click & Collect Sudbury Suffolk always gives outstanding Customer Service!Outstanding
This review is specific to one outstanding superstar in the Tesco Sudbury Suffolk Click & Collect Section, her name is Sue. Sue has got to know me as a regular weekly shopper, she's always friendly & really helpful. She knows the items I will reject, one dessert in particular which is very hit & miss with their patchy toppings. Sue now goes out of her way to check these specific items every week to make sure they're up to standard, she even goes & picks out the best ones before I collect my shopping so I never have the disappointment of sending them back again. Amazing Customer Service that goes abive & beyond by Sue, what a Champion!! I hope the Store Management recognises her for her superb service, always with a smile, even when it's raining or cold. Wish they were all like Sue!
Unable to get a refund
Unable to get a refund for a rock hard mango that was sold as 'perfectly ripe'through my online shop it was green and hard as a bullet. I tried getting customer chat but they said I have to wait two hours for somebody to get back to me - well I'm not available in two hours! And when I tried phoning up they sent me all around the houses with this awful chatty smiley lady robot she was clearly not real - just drove me up the wall! Tesco please make your complaint service more accessible I've already wasted half an hour of my life I'll never get back. thank you
Incredible kindness …
I picked up 2 packs of reduced specialty sausages whilst shopping in Tesco, Woolwich but on my way to checkout I noticed the sticker which showed the original price was 2 for £5. As each pack showed a reduced price of £2.74 per pack, I was paying MORE for items reduced on the sell by date. I highlighted this to Mark, a member of the management team who also appreciated how ridiculous this was but he was not able to reduced the items further. I was prepared to buy them at the pre reduced price but they were out of stock. Mark took one of the packs and disappeared with it. When he returned, I realised that he had actually bought it himself to give to me. As a pensioner, I have never encountered an act of such kindness. I was reluctant to accept but Mark was insistent. How lovely!!
One star and that is being kind!!!!
