Home delivery Shocking experience
Home delivery Shocking experience. Supposed to have received a delivery 4-5pm yesterday, around 6.10pm app showed driver deliveries a long way behind, then later two text notifications about running late, one for 7pm one 7.30pm. App then didn't show anything! Called call centre and informed they don't know what has happened! No delivery, no notifications! Spoke to call centre this morning, informed shortage of drivers! Also, shortage today so no delivery today! My payment was taken at 1:55pm yesterday. Refund was made today but takes 3-5 days! My call triggered refund. Zero rating for this shameful company, this is not the first time this has happened. They have become too big, £s greedy and don't care about customers! Zero rating for company but most employees who deal with customers are good, especially two ladies in call centre who tried to help me. I've just spoken to their manager who is going to try and get a callback from a manager at the store, Thank You! Clearly Ken Murphy, Tesco Group Chief Executive Officer and Matthew Barnes CEO, UK don't appear to care either! This is not the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Home delivery madness
We placed our weekly shop online and booked our slot for delivery, we got an email update saying 1 item not available - no bid deal - then we get an email saying there had been a technical issue and our whole order had been cancelled, no explanation just cancelled, now we have to wait 3 - 5 days to get our money back, we are not in a position to be able to place another order until that money comes back so guess we will have to go without. Then they offer a £10 credit to make up for the inconvenience, sorry but that’s just an insult in this situation. Hope the bosses get to see this as this is not the first time we have had issues with the delivery service which clearly isn’t working properly.
I've just spent over an hour trying to…
10th November 2024 update. Having written to Tesco and receiving a phone call regarding refund I have now increased 1 star to 3 star. One still has difficulty finding their HQ address but at least they sorted out my refund.
I've just spent over an hour trying to find a complaints email address for getting a refund of 60p from Tesco. Tried to find a general phone number for Tesco complaints - it's impossible. I'm sick to death of going round in circles on the "contact page" the purpose of which is so no-one can contact them ever. Absolutely ridiculous for customer service.
Store open, but can't take returns
The Tesco superstore at Prestwich not only have the wrong price displayed on big high up display boards, for example the Famous Grouse whisky which they display at the clubcard price of £18.50 for 1 litre, which is actually £19.50 when you pay at the checkout, but they have a customer services section that closes at 9pm, while their store is open until 12am.
So there is a three hour period where the store is open, but you can't return anything to either exchange, or be refunded for.
In my opinion the store should close when their ability to provide this very basic, yet essential service ends.
Ben really looked after us today
Ben really looked after us today. I went in with my grandparents to sort my nans phone out that she purchased a week ago. She's left feeling really confident in going from a pay as you go (which she has been for 10+years) to a monthly DD. Ben was patient and friendly and helped us out loads. Thank you again.
Customer service, customer dis service more like it
I was told by 5 Tesco employees that I could use a gift card for on-line shopping. Wrong you can’t. I was then told by another staff employee that I could have a refund, wrong again. So I wrote to customer services and I was so pleased when an assistant wanted to investigate so I gave her all the details, time, date etc etc then days passed and nothing….. so I wrote again and was basically told that I had five years to use the £200 gift card and that’s it, nothing about the results of their investigation or even if they did one, I wonder what other information is being given out by Tesco employees?!!!! Awful, awful, awful customer service, they just don’t care.
Tescos Kingston
Tescos Kingston, Milton Keynes now seems to have a policy that if you do scan and shop they will now check your shopping when you get to the till to pay. We are being stopped every time we shop. We are in our 70’s and are now getting fed up with not being trusted and are made to feel like we are attempting to steal from the store. We have shopped at Kingston store for decades. At the moment the whole store is a shambles while it’s being refitted so it takes us twice as long to do our shopping then we have to have it all checked when we get to the checkout. So it’s time for a change.
Zero reliability
Hello, my name is James we placed an order reference 26608759585 for delivery today between 8 and 9 pm at the property we are staying in where we have just arrived, I have spoken to your team twice to find out where it is and was told there were delays which I accepted, the 2nd time around 2130 I categorically asked them to confirm it would definitely be delivered today as otherwise I would need to come to store to do a manual shop tonight Before they close and I was told yes 100%, I have just called again just before 2300 got through your hold system only to have the phone picked up by one of your staff, and then cut the phone off , this service is an absolute disgrace, I have 3 children in this house now who won’t be able to have any breakfast in the morning until your store opens and I have to go and do the shop, I spent £274. On this shop and I spend 1000s with you every year, your staff shamelessly lied to me twice, I am putting this review online to add to your many other terrible reviews, what are you going to do to fix this, no doubt nothing

I am sick at home unable to visit the store. Woosh seemed ideal, until I tried to order. 11 items, about £25 worth delivery in about 30 mins. None, I repeat none of the items are In stock. They're not unusual or rare just day to day necessities. I don't want substitutes thankyou. I want what I'm trying to order. Won't be using again.
Very informative and helpful.
Steve on the alcohol aisle, was very informative and helped me choose the best wines for a friend. Thank you!
Wells Tesco.
Tesco's customer service helpline not fit for purpose
No-one on floor to answer query. Got to till mile long queues. Reduced maned tills and not all open. Got home tried to ring customer service. One hour later no joy. Menu options not appropriate so not able to move forward. An option 'non of the mentioned ' would solve this problem. Now trying to raise a complaint. Duff telephone numbers online and a repeat of menu options as above. Not going to waste any more time. Think Tesco does not want to interact with its customers.
Excellent!
I needed a home delivery for the first time ever. I couldn't decide between Asda delivery or Tesco delivery. Both companies review were poor on Trust Pilot, so I was pretty nervous choosing one. However, I went on Which? And Tesco delivery came on the top 2 best delivery service. I took a leap of faith and omg, it was the best decision I ever made. Easy to order, booking and payment easy. I could even add things to my order night before delivery as payment is only taken after they have actually packed your order. They make it very clear when any product is substituted. I had the option to track my delivery which was accurate. The driver was so kind, polite and helpful. He even advised me that I have been substituted an item and I can return it for a refund if I'm not happy. Excellent service all the way round. Definitely would recommend Tesco Delivery in Manchester Area!
Nightmare Experience!
I placed my order with Tesco.com as always via the app. My items were delivered, but I realised that a lot of items were missing; of course full payment had been taken.
I contacted customer service and I was told that the delivery van was full, hence the missing items. At least I should have been informed of this!!!!
The missing items were put into my basket and I was given the opportunity to reorder
I entered my card details, over and over again!! No luck. I just receiving an error message!
I used my phone, my iPad, no joy. The app was the latest version. I even tried reordering the items via the website. After all the stress, I gave up and reordered the missing items from another rival supermarket, but why should I have to reorder items that I had previously paid for! Ordering items online is an easy process, but with Tesco, it turned into a nightmare!! What a joke!!
With Christmas coming, I think I will be taking my business elsewhere!!!
Great staff
This review is long overdue.
Staff are always (99%) friendly and happy to help.
Standout is (Rob?) Who is usually on the wine and spirit aisle. Always cheerful and happy to assist - even if not in his area.
A true asset to the store.
Racist,passive aggressive staff
My mom went into the local Atherstone store today and she was served by a younger member of staff. English is not my mums first language and the staff told her to say please after she served her in a very passive aggressive tone and than smiled at her colleague like she put my mom in her place.Very rude of her and very close minded employee. Maybe offer some racism employee training to the young staff.
First class customer service.
I telephoned customer service about a problem with my receipt which did not give me the three for two offer on cheese. I spoke to Leanne Buchan who was very polite, professional, and friendly. She could not have been more helpful and sorted out my problem which I was very grateful for.
I used a self service machine and just…
I used a self service machine and just as I was paying the machine went down. I went to a member of staff and they said it was a ghost transaction and no money would leave my bank account. I used another self service machine, paid for my goods and left. A few days later my bank statement showed two lots of money leaving my account and going to Tesco. I contacted Tesco who said I should contact my bank. Bank was not much better

Really pleasant so I came back tonight to grab some bits. When I got to the check out Izzy did not acknowledge me at all infact she continued to talk to the lady at the other till as if I was invisible. Izzy and the other lady at the till were engaging in very crass, unpleasant & awkwardly heard conversations!! But at no point did Izzy even acknowledge my existence. (I am Indian) but when a white male got to Izzy till. She could not be more helpful. How are you this evening sir? Did you find what you were looking for? Did you need help packing your bags sir?
I could feel that Izzy was clearly a racist. Because I was completely ignored by her and how she had the audacity to talk to another work colleague in a language and attitude that was clearly classed as offensive, unacceptable and inappropriate was beyond me. I walked off and headed to the till at the entrance where I asked for the managers email after explaining I am a secret shopper. When the manager arrived she did not even apologise about my experience. Instead she said go to the website. We can’t help you here.
This will not stop me from coming to this store because I will leave a negative review each time and will take the name each time and shame them. Izzy you should be disgusted with yourself and your racist behaviour. But as my profile says God Sees All on Earth but believe me this review will still be published on other sites and emailed to your manager. And I want you to understand that there is no place for racism in any open society in this world. Open you eyes Izzy, the world is yet to know more about your behaviour.
