So I had a chassis swap a couple of years ago and that may seem too long ago now to comment but….
It’s only after lengthy investigation of a litany of random faults and now some prep for further unrelated work that it’s come to light these idiots put my Defender body on to entirely the wrong chassis for its model year, and has clearly been forced to fit in places. This probably explains things like why the doors have never really lined up since I got it back.
I don’t think it was done on purpose to deceive, but based on some of the other faults that came out of the chassis swap I get the feeling they just don’t really know what they’re doing.
Edited to add: Just discovered TerrainTech ceased trading at the end of 2023 which says it all.

Ordered a Landrover chassis top spec 2759.00 got confirmation then heard nothing sent them an email to get a reply that they cannot get the part as supplier no longer providing. So on the 12th September told I would receive refund within 48hrs so we are now a month gone by and still no refund I have phone them several times for them to say will call me back and also explained several times situation to also get them to put the phone down on me. So no calls back no reply to email. DO NOT TRUST THEM WILL STEALYOUR MONEY AND PROVIDE NO PRODUCT

I ordered a chassis from this company on 28th July 2023. The Chassis was coming from a company in Poland called Maer. Before ordering I contacted Maer to check that Terrain Tech Parts were their UK distributor. Maer confirmed they were. Terraintech advised that the chassis would take approximately 6 weeks.

8 weeks have gone by and Terraintech have not responded to my emails or telephone calls. Last week I contacted Maer direct and they confirmed the chassis is ready to be dispatched but they are awaiting payment from Terraintech. I telephoned Terraintech and they said they would pay Maer. They did not! Today Maer have advised that they are no longer dealing with Terraintech. I have requested an immediate refund from Terraintech by telephone and email, but true to form Terraintech have not bothered to reply. £2060.00 is a lot of money to lose!

Have recently bought 2 chassis from them, both experiences have been brilliant. Easy to contact to sort out a time to go and collect, super helpful and loaded up my trailer straight away. Would have no problem recommending to anyone.

After reading some of the reviews, - and with my vehicle already in for a chassis replacement, - I wasn't sure how my experience & my review would be reflected.
After some delay, the reasons for which were explained to me, I collected the vehicle this week. There were a few initial problems, which Scott personally sorted out.
The final result was above expectation, I did feel that the will to please the customer has been reinstated.
Please keep up the good work, so that you can continue to receive positive reviews.

Shoddy and dangerous work
I should have listened to those that said don’t trust these people. Alarm bells should have gone off when they told me that the prices on their website had gone up by £1,000 per job!
They did a chassis and bulkhead change (£2k more than announced on the website – fairly sure that such misrepresentation is illegal). When I picked up the vehicle the doors didn’t fit so they kept it for another two weeks. They drove it up the motorway for me but somehow failed to notice a dreadful rattle coming from the engine (the differential also had a significant leak). They knew that I was having to drive back to France. I had to pay my mechanic in France over £1,000 to put things right – amongst which were – remounting the engine as they had forgotten to put the supports in and so the fan was vibrating against the engine – redoing the main brake line which hadn’t been properly connected (dangerous) – redoing the fuel line which hadn’t been properly connected and so my Landy wasn’t starting properly – redoing the wiring on the fog lights which had been inverted – there is a massive list of other things that I could also share. In short there was zero quality control and they left me with a dangerous and potentially damaged vehicle knowing that I had a drive of close to 1,000 miles to do. Naturally I have taken it up with them but they aren’t interested.

The sales guy is a nice chap but don’t be fooled, these are unscrupulous people who don’t know what they are doing and don't care about the work they do.

I purchased a 200tdi 90 chassis and other parts from TerrainTech. Did all my business over the phone including delivery to Pegasus Motors in Kent who were doing the work for me.
Chap on the phone at TerrainTech could not have been more helpful and the chassis was delivered ahead of schedule.
Chassis has now been fitted without any problems at all all holes etc lined up fine, but some had to be opened up (cleared of galvanising bits).
I was very pleased with the price/delivery of the chassis, and the fitters with pleased with the product.

Cannot fault this company. Chassis for my Defender 90 200tdi delivered within days of ordering. Also ordered further parts Springs and Shock absorbers etc. and everything delivered next working day. Very helpful staff and competitive. I will certainly use this company again.

I dealt with 3 different chaps via telephone, email and then in person and all were 10/10 and couldn't do enough to help and were swift in doing so too. No delays. Avoid this company. Website looks great but very very poor customer service. Parts are not in stock when the website say they are. Waited weeks for a crossmember that was supposed to be available and never arrived. I repeatedly rang to ask for a refund and every time was told someone would call me back, they never ever did.The telephone options give the impression it’s a large company but no matter which option you select you speak to the same person who just fobs you off . I did eventually get a refund through much perseverance.

Excellent customer service from the start till the end, excellent communication could not have asked for a better service, even helped off load it for me too. Well worth buying from this company superb knowledge of land rovers too.

Great company to deal with and extremely knowledgeable. Brought a chassis and bulkhead, both of which arrived within 7 days and fitted well. These chaps know their product very well and could answer all my questions. I was sceptical at first from other reviews but turns out they were just another company trying to deal with staff shortages during the past 12 months of COVID times. Will be buying more Defender parts from them in the future.

I recently ordered a defender bulkhead and chassis from this company and as I wanted the bulkhead powder coated it was going to take a few weeks. Whilst waiting I decided to go and collect them myself, and they promised to refund the £300 delivery charge. The chassis and bulkhead are fine and they were pleasant to deal with, although I suspect I would still be waiting if i had not collected the items. The problem is It took many emails and the eventual threat of court action to get my delivery costs back. I do not think that this company is dishonest they just have terrible customer service and are a bit disorganised. It is a pity as in all other respects they were good to deal with. The products were of good quality and at a good price.

Ordered some rear lights last year. Never turned up. Called them, promised to refund me, never happened. Don't use them unless you can afford to lose your money....

So.. you dove into Defender ownership, thinking you’re in for Adventure. Just fix a few things before that overland trip or whatever. Well, you’re in for an adventure here. Just not the kind you’ve been hoping for.
I’ve bought and paid 4k for a Shielder chassis through Terrain Tech five and a half months ago and have still received nothing except excuses.
Right, months. Five.
Covid, shipping company, Brexit, you know.. borders and all. They’ve been polite to a fault on the phone, but never call back, except if you get a hold of Justin. But still. I don’t have a damn chassis yet. Once I was told that it’s on it’s way, and I should be receiving a call from the shipping company any day. But I never did. Turns out the chassis never left England. Or does it exist? Who knows.
Is this third world stuff? I don’t know. I don’t know if this is usual if you buy a chassis, but it sure seems like a doomed service. Order through Shielder directly if you can. Pay more for shipping. Maybe that works. Maybe Richards is reliable. Marsland? I haven’t ordered one of those, and it’s unlikely that I will. This is a deeply off putting experience.

I paid and i wait my bulkhead since 2020-09-29 (6 weeks) ....and no answer at my emails !!
