This was a good repair experience.
Store colleague said it would be two weeks (it took near three start to finish but that was ok with me).
I got email confirmation straight away and a login to track progress when I booked it in at store.
I got an email to say when received at repair centre. I then periodically checked the progress of the repair, with status showing of in progress. Then one day I checked and got a response of "Shipped back to store"
My only slight niggle was I never got an update when checking progress to say "received at store". I would have liked this as I was not sure it was back, and I couldn't phone the store to check this (I did find a text to say it was back, which I missed, but this should be part of the tracking to make it 100%) Fortunately when I called in at the store, the item was ready to collect. Item fixed for £100 which seems reasonable with a 2 year guarantee on the repair.
Overall happy. Would recommend the service. No issues and my PS5 works great now.

Very happy with the repair of my quest 3. The charging port completely failed and I got quoted £220 from meta for the repair. Come across tech centre and they offered the repair at a very good price! Shipping was easy, I was a day late sending it and it still was returned to me within 7 days. What a great service!
Strongly recommend this company, great communication and fast repairs. Didn’t have to pay a thing until it was fixed.
If I do have to get anything repaired in the future, I will be sure to use Tech Centre.

I would highly recommend this company. Quick, efficient service, nothing was too much trouble. The warranty given is better than any other tech repair company. Their customer services were 2nd to none, they were always happy to help with any questions I had, with confidence that gave me complete reassurance. The price was very competitive to others in the market and the price quoted was the price charged, no hidden costs.

Got my ps2 back after it stopped working. It apparently needed it's disc drive repaired and is now working perfectly! The price is really good for the repairs too.

A mixed experience. On the plus side, my console has been repaired for a reasonable price, and the 2 year guarantee is much better than most repairers give.
But there are some significant negatives, mainly associated with using the CeX dropoff option.
First, the staff in store tried to tell me quite forcefully that the console had water damage and could not be repaired. I knew this was nonsense and insisted the device be sent off to be properly inspected - I’m glad I did, as it turns out there is no water damage, just a common power connector fault which is perfectly repairable. The in-store assistants need to be a little more cautious in advancing their own views on this sort of thing.
Second, the whole repair process from drop off to collection took 21 days. The headline ‘7 day turnaround’ time, prominently advertised, is very misleading even allowing for what most people would consider to be reasonable transit times. It took a full week from drop off at the store to arrival at the repair centre (ironically, it appears, less than 10 miles away); then another six days after repair for it to get back to the store. This is slow by any standard; it makes the ‘7 days’ claim the equivalent of me saying I can run the 100m in 10 seconds, then qualifying the statement retrospectively to say that I actually only meant the middle third of the race. There is a statement in the website small print to the effect that store collection days vary, but nothing at all to prepare a customer for a 3 week wait. I note the commitment in response to other comments to look at whether the website could be clearer, and will be interested to see what changes are made.
Finally, if you want to check if your repair has arrived back in store for collection (as in my experience you’re not informed it has arrived) don’t bank on phoning - the Tech Centre 0800 number goes straight to voicemail, and the CeX store number plays a recorded message telling you to fill in a web-form. In the end I went in on the off chance and got lucky.
Would I use the service again? Possibly, on the basis that the fundamental repair appears sound and the warranty is good, though I’d also investigate local repairers more thoroughly. But I would not use the store drop off service, as all it seems to do is add delay, and in my case also meant I had to argue my case to even be allowed to send the item off in the first place.

From booking my Nintendo in for repair, to the updates, to the pick-up - the memebers of staff I interacted with were extremely helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to use/recomend CeX for future repairs!

Techcentre managed to fix my PS4 which I thought was unrepairable and was great value of money. The whole process was simple and although it took a little longer than I originally expected, it was worth the wait.
