Got my purchase refunded, after 2 months of passed time. When I argued with telex support, I had no help from them. Would not recommend using this unless you want your purchase to be returned whenever they feel like doing so.

Support won't tell me what's wrong, and they froze my funds
EDIT: 45 days later (14th of February) this issue has been solved. After digging for an answer I finally found out that Tebex considers the chargeback rate to be the amount of money chargebacked, not the amount of customers that have done a chargeback. Because of this, one user that spent a good chunk of cash was able to close my webstore with just a couple of chargebacks.

Been using Tebex as a vendor since 2019, and ever since then they have been changing for the worst. Back then the support actually cared and gave honest responses, they never used automated messages and if they did it would been followed by an human shortly after.
Eventually they started pushing for Checkout, with the idea of taking 5% of your profits in exchange of not needing to worry about Chargebacks and having multiple new features like Upselling. This was forced at some point around 2022 after they were bought by Overflow. I gotta say, I didn't like Checkout before but seeing that they did what they promised and that the new features paid for the 5% cut itself I had no issues with this approach.
Fast forward to the 30th of December 2024 and my store was shut down abruptly without warning due to a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy. This was news to me, as I have been using their services for years now, so I contacted Content and Safety to request further details and how we could solve the issue.
They reached out to me on the 1st of January, with an automatic response, letting me know that in fact my store was being shut down due to "a continued high rate of chargebacks and reports of potentially fraudulent purchases". This is bollocks, my store has a chargeback rate of 0.9% in relation to sales, and I had only got 22 chargebacks in 2024 (half of them made by the same fraudulent users). Not only that, but apparently they "have made multiple attempts to address the situation with you, and unfortunately, the high volume of disputes has persisted". Again, another lie because I have never received a warning about this, and my chargeback rate has been below industry standards for the whole of 2024. Heck, even checking the chargebacks from 2019 until now the rate is still 0.9%, so I had no clue what was going on.
So I decided to contact them again, letting them know about these findings. They said that I could accelerate the process showing them chats with my customers (which I don't have) and that I should expect it to be resolved within 35 days... Meanwhile the investigation is on going I would not have access to my money and my store will be offline. After that they never reached out again, and I am still waiting for a response of my last email asking them which purchases are they investigating.
I just now had time to make this review. I have been dealing with personal issues and this experience has not helped at all. Not only that but it is impossible to find a human being that will check my case, and I shouldn't be chasing them to give me a response. Ah, fun fact, I still got charged for January's Premium subscription, even tho I can't use my store nor access my funds.
If you are willing to take the risk, go for it, because the features are great, but the customer service is really lacking and this experience had me looking for alternatives. Losing almost one month of revenue and not knowing why nor how to fix it is diabolic. My cynical side is just telling me that they are just trying to look at excuses to take my funds, but I know I am not that important.
I am not the biggest seller, not by a long shot, but I have grossed over 100.000 dollars in sales through all these years, and if this is how they treat normal vendors I can just imagine how they treat new smaller ones.

Tebex rejected a payment I made on Gabz and blocked my account from making future purchases. I have spent $9,000 or more on Tebex sellers, and now, for just €20 that was not deducted correctly, they are punishing me by preventing me from enjoying other products.

The worst payment provider I ever dealt with
In almost 10 years of selling online I have not seen a payment processor this bad.
They do not provide a way to refund customers (they straight up refuse refunds for digital products), they do not even provide a customer's name and email to contact them and simply refer to the merchant, BuiltByBit, which we are using.
Next, we literally had to use a VPN when paying with a US company to make Tebex set the address to the US, otherwise Tebex added EU tax and thought we're EU based, as they refused to provide a simple field for billing information. This is not a joke!
Next, we purchased advertising credits as a business from a site using Tebex; Tebex refused to provide a business invoice. Seriously?
Next, they freeze your withdrawal for five days after adding a new payment method and prevent changing it for 30 days. We have used PayPal, Stripe and others and nobody else was doing this anti-customer practice.
Guaranteed if they will reply here, it will be a bunch of polite jargon and nothing will change.
Whatever you do, stay away from Tebex.
Great customer service
OK so after finding it quite difficult to cancel a subscription from a seller directly I contacted tebex about the issue and gave them some information on the subscription,my email from them was quite swift and to tell me the subscription had been cancelled there and then,so to be honest I can't fault Tebex based on my personal experience and hope any further issues I have get dealt with as swiftly as this one.

The worst platform for sellers and buyers
Asking what's wrong with Tebex is like asking what's wrong with contract polio. The seller and buyer experience literally takes away days from your life as their support agents are slow to respond (if they even do), the platform is rife with scams and scammers with sellers deleting content you paid for, bait and switch scams, and various other ongoing scams.
Tebex charges you processing fees to process returns to your customers, they instantly ban users for disputing payments even when the user is reporting it has had money stolen from them.
How everyone in this company hasn't been arrested or fined into bankruptcy for unfair business practices is beyond me.
If you can, avoid this platform at all costs or any games/platforms that use it to process payments or sales.
Edit: after reading their response, I want people to avoid this platform even more. This platform is bad for customers AND sellers, the only people that win in this relationship is Tebex.
