Was put in touch by OnlineLandRegistry for an IDCheck video appointment for a TR1 back in March. Lukeman Pathan was a no show was told he had a prior arrangement as to why he was a no show, neither Lukeman, TaylorPrice nor OnlineLandRegistry communicate he could not attend that day which was scheduled 2 weeks in advance. OnlineLandRegistry conveniently knew straightforward who we were. We had it rescheduled the day after same time, Lukeman was a no show again we called OnlineLandRegistry again this time even they had no explanation why he was not calling on time and would find out. 5 mins after complaining Lukeman messaged us on WhatsApp that he would call shortly. The appointment took 15 mins, so why were we having to chase around for something seemingly simple. During the video call Lukeman provided no answers, was dismissive he couldn’t tell us the process, what to expect, how long it would take. Nothing. He said he would process the paperwork by next day. We shortly found out Lukeman Pathan was a trainee solicitor under this firm. 6 weeks later we received no information, no paperwork, no email. We didn’t know what to expect next. Had our TR1 been sent? We sent many enquiries and one finally got replied to in late April stating document were to be sent to us to be signed and posted ourselves and this concluded their service.

What service?!? The prompt taking of our money then stone cold silence, where WE had to run around for an appointment that was scheduled 2 weeks advance??!? Or the trainee solicitor who seemed like he had no idea what he was doing or why his appointment was scheduled??? We had to tell him it was a TR1!!
We called in again since they’re now telling us their service has been completed and we should now do it ourselves. The call got cut off the first time as soon as we stated our order number, then we got put on hold the second time where they came back with that they will now process everything entirely on their side. I asked when this would be, if they can confirm via email when it’s done and if this could be confirmed via email. They said yes yes yes soon. Then nothing!

I’d also like to add that when we received the documents, the same ones we were later told to ignore, we noticed the signed date by a COMPLETELY different solicitor was in March that same date we attended the video call. And yet we were receiving these ID1 and ID5 to sign and send off ourselves, 6 weeks later and only AFTER we had sent numerous enquiries. God knows, when or how they’d supposedly complete and send off the forms without our signature?? We also sent another enquiry right after they told us this to confirm this was happening and to receive confirmation when this was complete including reference from HM Land Registry. Ofcourse no answer.

It has now been a week since then and 2 whole months since our service started. We’re aware our request SHOULD have taken 6-8 weeks to complete by HM Land Registry if this had been done properly and conducted professionally. We intend to take this further for negligent legal service as we paid around 600£ for no communication, canceled appointments, not being told they were canceled, having to chase up for our own appointment, then being told we had to do everything ourselves. We were also given ZERO guidance how to fill out the TR1.
