Been waiting for months for tax rebate that was sent to Taxtree by HMRC emailed help line and still waiting on an answer,fraud police is next obvious next move.

Like many others here, they took all of my latest Tax Refund from the HMRC.

I was due a cheque for a tax refund which never arrived, when I chased this with HMRC they had already paid this out directly to TaxTree, even though they said it was sent a cheque to myself.

That is soo bad on the HMRC and the whole Government in general, that they just throw away the publics money at any scammer that rocks up to them.
The attitude from the HMRC was oh well you gave your signature for this and they didn't want to know.

Tried to contact TT as experienced by the others here, to no avail, the automated phones lines go onto a loop adn the only choice that rang, only rang for about 10 seconds then hung up, an email only gets an automated reply. I have never dealt with this company, I have no corresponce with this company, god knows where they have got my Signature from and I have asked the HMRC to send copies of the documents they have from TT for further investigation.

I will be seeking advice on how to deal with these Fraudsters.

Well well, suprise suprise, I tried to get the official documentation from these clowns and they ignored my request, I still dont know how they got my details

I tried contacting Action Fraud who deemed there was nothing that can been done, again we see a government run organization protecting criminals that just take the publics money.

I truly despise this Tax Tree and the government organisations that clearly protect these fraudsters over trying to protect the public.

I keep getting emails from T/Tree, saying I
have a considerable Tax Refund due to me, but after seeing these dreadful scamming reviews, I will leave my money. where it is.
I have quite a lot of refunds, which I have never claimed, But I am sure no scammer is getting my hard earned money. Shame if HMRC are out sourcing their refunds, that's helping these scammers.

I received a letter from HMRC and was told that i am entitled to tax rebates and i waited for weeks and called them today they informed me thst This fraudulent company have my money which i dod not sign up for i have reported this vompany Tax Tree to action fraud i want my money that i have worked hard for i did not dign up it was a identity fraud i want my money back of these thieves they havr my money dince 13 th july23

Got notification from HMRC that I was due over £200 refund for tax paid on a PPI Refund. Tried numerous times to make contact with taxtree through their website. Have now started an investigation with the National Fraud Intelligence Unit who are now actively looking into the matter. They confirm they have been unindated with complaints.
TT will undoubtedly deny ever receiving my many e mails and contacts through their system.
I will keep everyone updated.

What an awful company. As my PPI tax refund was under £50 they have kept all of the money. Absolute scam. HMRC have said report to Action Fraud who have said they can’t help get my money back. The phone number for the company doesn’t connect to anybody, just an automated voice recording. Do not use this company they will rip you off. The minimum £50 fee and 45% charges are hidden in their terms and conditions which you don’t get access to until you’ve agreed to let them handle your claim. I have started a complaint with Resolver and if that doesn’t work I will try other methods to try and recoup some of my money.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use Tax Tree for an HMRC tax refund simply because I’ve been charged a whopping 45% for their poor service. I received my cheque FIVE weeks after Tax Tree were paid by HMRC and only because I pressured them via several emails as a matter of urgency after wasting time trying to phone.

Finally, my wife received a cheque from Tax Tree; out of a possible £60 refund she received £10, they took a £50 min fee charge! I've said it before, I'll say it again, TTWB is a rip off, a scam! At a time when we're all trying to hang onto our cash during a cost of living crisis, you can always rely on the empathy of finance companies such as TTWEB to make things even harder! Take my reviews to heart, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will rip you off, someone should write to 'Rip Off Britain'; now there's a thought! I regret ever hearing about them on Martin Lewis' TV money show program; he never warned us of the fees.

I recently had a letter from HMRC informing me I had paid too much tax and a cheque for £389 was being posted to tax tree . When I received the cheque, it was for £214. I enquired why there was such a difference in amounts . I was informed it ws the handling and processing fees . Over £170 to process 1 cheque seems ridiculous.

I have been sent a cheque for £33.77 from Tax tree. Despite the fact that Tax Tree actually owe me 3 payments of £201.89 , £61.73 and £61.40. Could you please send me the correct amount of money owed to me. 😡

I have received 2 letters over the last year saying I am owed 2 refunds. I have tried contacting tax tree several times last year. Sent copies of payments they owe me. Still not heard nothing or received the 2 payments they owe me. Have received a further letter yesterday saying they now owe me another refund of tax. How much money is this company keeping from tax payers. 😡

After a few weeks and and a few phone calls and emails I was contacted by Taxtree and to be fair they eventually got to settling my claim pretty quickly after that . So my advice is to persevere and you should get sorted.

Pretty much the same as everyone else. I had a refund from HMRC for £275. Heard nothing from tax tree, just going to assume it's never coming.

Received a letter from HMRC in June stating I am owed a tax refund and a cheque will be sent to TAX TREE for the amount shown (who I have never heard of). Six weeks later, no cheque has arrived or any communication regarding this amount. Read all the reviews 😢😢 previously I’ve had a cheque from HMRC and have also claimed my rebate on line. I’m considering this money lost, even though technically it was mine. HMRC should not be outsourcing, claiming online through HMRC has to be the most beneficial means for all

These people have stolen my money. I had a letter from HMRC to say a cheque was sent to Tax tree on 15th June. Never heard of them and certainly never knowingly signed up to their services. Emailed them and have never had a reaponse as to where my money is. They are theives!!!!!!

Today I received a letter from HMRC stating that they owe me £1046.36 to which they have sent a cheque for the amount to Tax Tree. I have never heard of this company in my life. I Googled them and seen all the bad reviews so I phoned HMRC . After waiting over 50 minutes to getting through, they said that they had recieved documents with my signature on. I told them I have never heard of this company let alone sign anything!
HMRC will be taking it further if the cheque for the full amount is not paid within the 14 day timescale.
This company should be ashamed of themselves if they are taking people's hard earned money and HMRC need to stop using these Scammers!
ALERT!!! 3 minutes ago I have had a reply to this review they have sent me a cheque, they just failed to say that they have taken 45% of the money leaving me with £575.43. I have explained everything to them, they have illegally obtained my signature via a third party and acted on my behalf without consent to retrieve money from HMRC. I may have only one option now to go to Action Fraud!

So I wrote a review 2 days ago and received a reply saying get in touch with them again which I have, and suprise suprise email is undeliverable! Can your company please just answer me. I have reported you to the Financial ombudsman and to resolver!

I have emailed the Service email it’s undeliverable. I want my money I’m entitled too. Can’t speak to anyone either. I have not heard of this company before. Only heard of them due to contacting HMRC as my cheque for rebate has gone to these guys. I’m not happy that I can’t get any answers. I have no claim ID either.

Was sent a letter from hmrc saying my £611.00 refund had been sent to tax tree I've not been in contact with anyone from this company if this is a scam why do the hmrc still send out cheques to them now lost all my money
