I received excellent customer service and support as a first time buyer with Taunton solicitors. No question was too big or small and they were even incredibly helpful and supportive after completion with problems I incurred.

We used Taunton Solicitors to assist with Commercial lease arrangements. The service we received from Bruce and his team throughout the process was professional, friendly, prompt and top quality. Details were explained and clear and provided excellent value for money. Delighted to use their services again and also to recommend to others.

They were very helpful and thorough with their dealings with me, so much so that I will be making an appointment with them with regards to a will.

Brilliant solicitors, Evie and Bruce dealt with sale and purchase of our home, communication was fantastic throughout, nice to know Evie was at the end of the phone and always got back to you as soon as she could. We were looked after extremely well by Bruce, Penny, and the team when purchasing our first home.

They offered good value for money and were always upfront with costs and what was involved.

Their customer service and response time was great, especially considering the pandemic and how busy the housing market has been.

In addition to being first time buyers we had some nuances that needed to be dealt with. They took the time to explain everything and advise us on the best course of action.

Throughout there were no surprises, everything went to plan and within the target time frame.

Taunton solicitor were amazing, starting from Adam and Megan when she took on my conveyancing process. Megan was exceptional and the receptionist were lovely and amazing. Great experience overall.

I wouldn’t recommend using this company. They didn’t even have a file for me a month after I had been to their offices to explain my situation.
I had to chase constantly for updates, due to COVID there seems to be a delay on them replying to emails. In the end I would have to call them constantly.
I was supposed to exchange on the Monday, it didn’t happen, I got told it would happen the following day. On the Thursday (the day before completion was due) I was told we still hadn’t exchanged.
After asking for numerous updates throughout the process and not receiving them I was then told my bill would be £200 more than originally quoted.
A week later I had to chase for my payment as I still hadn’t received the cheque from the sale of my house.
Sarah helped and arranged for the money to be transferred, I explained about the extra charge and apparently I had received a bargain as the extra costs had actually been over £1,200. I still can’t get my head around what the extra costs were from l. Even though I have been sent a breakdown. As a goodwill gesture I was given £100 back but I still don’t think the extra money was necessary given all of my own time that went into sorting things with these guys.
They made out as though this was a difficult process but essentially all that was happening was my ex partner was buying me out of my old property. If they couldn’t get their heads around that (which is pretty shocking for a conveyancing solicitors) maybe they should have said that in the beginning and shouldn’t have taken me on.
I was told if I wanted to dispute the extra £100 I should go back to the individuals dealing with my file. I didn’t think I would win against two solicitors though. Lesson learnt though, I would never use this company again.

I would not recommend this company, I’m a first time buyer and it was a no chain.... I would email the ladie that was meant to be looking after me and not once did she get back to me it took me calling the office at least 5 times before I raised my concerns that I’m not being looked after..... after this I got put on to som1 differnt and the reply’s I was getting was ,,,, “we think that should be fine”
Or “I don’t see a problem”
To be honest I wanted more than opinions and thoughts as buying a property is a pretty big deal to me,
Then I got given back to the ladie that I first started with,
Very very very poor customer care not once did I get a quick response or a call back I didn’t feel like I could call and ask for help if I needed things exsplaining, she did apologies quite rudely and said she was chaceing my concerns a week after she received my email.... she claimed she couldn’t do it because she was working from home..... ? My education is pretty poor but I’m pretty sure working from home means you do your work from home?
Any way I would never use this company again unless the director was my solicitor.
And on the day we were meant to exchange she never got back to me which was a Friday...
Just very poor to exspect som1 to pay for a service like this.

Very pleased with the professional service, very approachable and efficient.

Asked for a quotation. Finally received one three days later.
Enough said.
