Just tried opening an account with Tasty Trade. I did my application and got denied without any reason. I don't care about getting denied. I care about the lack of a response from a brokerage company as to why. I thought it might be because their security question asked me if I had a mortgage and what's the loan cost of that mortgage. I responded I don't.. because I never owned a house.
I reached out via chat support to see if there was anyone to speak with. Chat copied and pasted a reply and immediately ended the chat - like leave us alone we don't need a reason.

I've been a TastyTrade client for several years and, overall, the experience has been excellent. The platform is intuitive, fees are competitive, and customer support has always been responsive.
Recently, I faced an issue with an ACH deposit (caused by a third-party intermediary, not by me), and my account was permanently blocked from using ACH transfers. While I understand there may be technical or regulatory reasons behind this decision, it was very frustrating to receive a message stating the service would be permanently disabled, even after I had paid all the fees involved in both failed transfer attempts, without any further explanation or chance of review.
I believe there could be more flexibility or at least an appeal process in cases like mine, especially for long-time clients who act in good faith.
That said, I continue to use and recommend the platform — particularly for U.S.-based clients or international clients who stick to wire transfers to avoid similar issues.

Very bad broker. Some mentally ill people. Even chat blocked. Jeff blocked my account. Did not accept my deposits by cryptocurrency. Some kind of nightmare. I am shocked. Blocked banking email address. No humanity, degenerate. Under no circumstances do you start with them.

I have used Tasty over the past few years now. They are a good broker that I trust. The problem is their desktop platform is a crash-o-matic. They are trying to expand features that nobody wants at the cost of not putting the effort into fixing the core platform. That said, I'll continue to use them in spite for their frustrating platform.

I opened an account because someone recommended it to me. I didn't check reviews before because I trusted him. I deposited $600. After a few months I withdrew $200 +$45 fee because I am not US client and the transaction went smoothly without any problems. However I never started trading. I needed money and was thinking of withdrawing another $300 but I didn't receive this money in my bank but I was still charged $45 fee and $30 money return fee. When I contacted customer service she/he couldn't explain anything to me. I called my bank and they said they never received such payments. My bank asked for a UETR or PET control number but the Tastytrade representative (name Sasha) couldn't provide it. I have been communicating only with Sasha by email for almost a month. I asked a lot of questions but I didn't get a nice answer, I see that she/he is just making fun of me. Very rude person and not helpful at all. I tried second time with all the correct information, nothing was missing and the same thing happened again. Now I have $151 left in my account. She/he pushes me to fill out a form that she/he could make the transfer wire on my behalf. Of course there's a section where I have to sign so that I don't have any complaints later. But when I asked if the money will really reach my bank account?. She/he said there is no guarantee. That means you have to forget about your money. This company is so cheap that they steal people's money like this. I think that the good reviews here are fake.

Still the worst customer service they can offer. And they find no interest in changing it. I have 2 accounts with them one had a 100 bucks margin call the other had money on it. They liquidated about 1500 USD of my position. I had to buy it back losing 20 bucks. Just make it make sense with these guys. Dreading it that a platform that is good has to have the worst customer service.

I had two very newbie type questions and happened to get assistance from the same person. They tolerated me well and gave me great advice. We all start somewhere and this, in my opinion, is a great place to start.

Couldn't open an account: "Our compliance department made a decision to not support your account. Unfortunately, we do not disclose the reasons associated with their decision. We very much apologize for any inconvenience here and wish you the best."
I have multiple trading accounts at over 8 institutions (interactivebrokers, trading212, etoro, xtb, fidelity, etc) given the fact I'm from UE, and I need to have multiple since most of them are insured only for first 20.000 eur.
I've wanted to open this one for their API, in order to automate some TLT trades, but couldn't, maybe is for the best I wouldn't like to have my money blocked just because a broker wants to ...
