Tasker left out parts/didn't follow IKEA instructions
I ordered a bed from IKEA to be assembled by Task Rabbit and the tasker didn't follow the instructions. He left out some key parts to make his job quicker. I found out when I ordered a second bed and assembled it myself. I realized that Task Rabbit had done the job very fast and couldn't understand how they did so. But on checking, I saw they had left out key parts. Since the original bed was assembled more than 30 days ago, Task Rabbit washed their hands of the problem.

While our Happiness Pledge can't assist with some tasks due Claims must be submitted within thirty 30 days of the task. And this is why we encourage the use of personal insurance for compensation as well. If you haven't already, contact your personal insurance company to see what options are available to you.

The assembler was great
The assembler was great. What lacks for a service like this related to Ikea is to also be offered clearing of the cardboxes. Even if thta means pay a bit extra for the convenence.

Good experience
This was my first time using Task Rabbit and ultimately it turned out to be a worthwhile experience that I would do again. Our initial experience with the first tasker assigned to us wasn’t great as his scheduling and communication was unreliable. I decided to try again and the tasker assigned to us was excellent. He promptly scheduled it and arrived on time. He put together 3 pieces of IKEA furniture (with doors and drawers) in less than 2.5 hours. He was unobtrusive, tidy and polite. It was a good value.
