Never order from Tarte

Terrible service! I ordered two tinted moisturizers during their 35% off sale. In order to save on shipping, I added an eye palette to my order. I also qualified for a free tinted lip gloss worth $35. When the package arrived, only the eye palette was included. I reached out to customer service and after SEVERAL emails, they refused to send the products I ordered and would only send a partial refund. I don't even want the one item I received. Terrible service. I have purchased from this company for years, but they have now lost me as a customer.

I couldn’t apply my 15% discount code

I couldn’t apply my 15% discount code. They trick you to buy the goods by telling you about the discount and then all of a sudden you have paid without being able to apply the discount. I tried to livechat and send them an email but nothing works. I am very curious if I will receive my goods in the Netherlands at all.

The REAL Tarte Cosmetics are awesome

The REAL Tarte Cosmetics are awesome! I did one time however, get directed to a fake page where everything was about half of the price as the real website. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the fake website name. But I did notice a typo so I rechecked the website address and found out it was not a legitimate website.So make sure you’re really using tartecosmetics.com. The real website deserves 10 stars.

Received a fake product

Received a clearly fake, cheap product from China having paid £35 for an under eye concealer. Nothing was branded, it was badly packaged and the product packaging was cheap. Complained and got a response back after several days saying I could choose a different product. Chose what I wanted and responded. Over a week later I’ve heard nothing about whether they’re sending it, or what is happening. Customer service is poor and the product is clearly terrible, cheap rubbish. Don’t order from them!

Wrong items received, no resolution!

Received an order after a month waiting but both items were incorrect. Got in contact via email, eventually got a response looking for further information and have heard nothing since. Have sent multiple emails, Instagram and Facebook messages. Zero help. Very unprofessional company waisting customers time.

Amazing Customer Service

I never write a review but I had to for Tarte Cosmetics. I've order from them many times and I've never had a problem receiving my order. Tarte was having a big sale on their lipgloss so I purchased 2. Tracking said my order was delivered but I didn't get it. It could have been a mistake by USPS or mailbox bandits?? I reached out to Tarte and they sent me replacements at no extra charge - I received my replacement in a few days. That's amazing customer service and bonus... I love the product.

Tarte is the worst experience ever

Tarte is the worst experience ever, customer service has taken months to refund and only refunded 1/4 of my return. Ordering cosmetics can be challenging when you are familiar as a consumer having to reach out over and over to CS requesting your refund is NOT ok. Too date I am 60 days in waiting for refund.

Definitely recommend

Definitely recommend

I’m a real mascara lover and have tried many different brands. The Tarte XL tubing mascara is genuinely one of the best I’ve used. I always buy a couple at a time as backups because I don’t want to run out.

The only downside is the delivery — it’s often late, which can be frustrating. Otherwise, the product itself is excellent.

make-up sales ran out of China

make-up sales ran out of China, so as usual when they get the order wrong or send faulty products customer service is a nightmare and you never get a refund just a discount to keep the faulty Item. (Great that they offer a 15% discount but What am I suposed to do with make up that is 6 shades to dark? And I am out all that money!!)

Poor communication and delayed order

I contacted Tarte customer service regarding an issue with my order and was asked to provide further feedback. I responded promptly and in full.

I was offered a discount code, which I declined as I had already placed two substantial orders and was seeking resolution rather than an incentive.

After that, I received no response at all — no acknowledgement, update, or closure. The order itself was also significantly delayed and has only just been dispatched.

Between the lack of communication and the delayed fulfilment, this has been a disappointing experience. Based on this, I would not feel confident ordering again.

Tarte online ordering is a joke

Tarte online ordering is a joke, at best..... Their customer service is horrendous!!! As advertised on their website, I gave my phone number and my email address to receive a 15% discount off of my first order, and not only did I not receive my discount, but I have yet to receive the products I have paid for. I placed my order over a month ago, & still nothing!!!! I have called numerous times with wait times up to an hour only to speak to a rude customer service agent, with a thick accent. I have attempted the live chat, to ask for a refund, and have also emailed Tarte directly to no avail. I will never order from this company again!!!! Scamming at its finest!!!! RUN AS FAST AND AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN!!!!

Great products without all of the nasties

Since listening to the founder on the podcast "how i built this", I have been obsessed with Tarte as they have strong morals about the ingredients that are used in the products and being cruelty free while maintaining a really amazing product. I had a small hiccup when trying to place an order, but they helped resolve this swiftly.

Lovely makeup and good service

Lovely makeup and good service. Love this company. They often has good offers so everyone can effort it.
Free delivery when you buy over a sertain amount.
Sometimes you also get a free gift.
I had a problem with one product but customer service sorted it out Straight away. I didnt have to Pay tax when I ordered from Denmark.

Received a Christmas present. It was from Tarte. It is broken I called customer service and they are denying it is their product, even with their name on it. Don’t buy their products if they can’t stand behind them🤮

I have had a lot of issues with tarte

I have had a lot of issues with tarte. Constant emails and lack of adequate customer service.
However, in the end I emailed tarte's parent company (Kose corporation) to complain.
From then onwards, my complaint was actioned swiftly. I urge people to do the same since the point of contact is not very useful in handling queries and troubleshooting.

Would give 0 if I could. Had 3 orders in for Christmas because of apparent good deals over Black Friday. Not ONE SINGLE ORDER made it to even being dispatched. Got to the point where I was emailing daily, constant lies and told different days the items were apparently dispatched. They could never prove ANYTHING was sent to any courier. Each tracking number provided wasn’t recognised and there was several provided for each item!!! Liars, scammers! Just want your money so they can send a bunch of their mates to an exotic island while they don’t bother to even ship your orders! Absolute disgrace. 1 order going wrong, acceptable, a second is odd. A third is just a joke. They are laughing at us!!!!

Order never arrived. Contacted customer support and they could not provide an update. Later they responded and said that the order was lost due to unforeseen circumstances and would issue refund. Did not receive refund either.

Expired goods and bad customer service

Till today, nobody bothers to reply to my emails and to this message too. I even reached out to their higher level management but nobody replied me. I wonder if the management reads these messages and know what is happening.

Selling expired goods to customers and ignoring emails and messages??

The customer service is very bad. They don’t reply to messages and at times after one reply they just don’t bother to follow up or reply anymore.

I placed an order for the Tarte Mystery Box 2025 together with some other items on 30 October, 2025. Upon receiving it on 20 November , I found that 4 of the items have expired. I emailed them on 22 November and informed and attached photos of the items and expiry dates to them but till today no reply.

This is not the first time I have received expired products.

Don’t be fooled by their gifts and offers as they are selling and giving away expired products. Or just putting it for sale at a low price!!

How could they be selling expired products or even as gifts to customers??

This is very deceiving disappointing!

I am still waiting for a reply or I will reach to their higher level of management if I don’t get a reply within the next few days!!
