I think, all in all, that Tanner is a good source for shoes. I'll briefly tell about my first order.
Delivery time seemed a little long...almost 4 weeks, but I wasn't in a hurry, so it was OK. I received one pair of boots and one pair of casual shoes. The casual shoes were great. Good quality and very comfortable. The boots were also very good quality, but they did not fit quite right. They are steel-toed work boots, and, unfortunately, the steel cap on the right boot rubs on my big toe, making it sore. Obviously, it isn't going to stretch out. I am going to keep the boots, however. They are very nice, and I can still wear them for short periods of time without major discomfort. (I wonder if they sell work boots without a steel toe cap.) So, my first experience with Tanner, while not perfect, was satisfactory. I will probably use them again. Thanks

You guys are great! This is my 4th pair of shoes and I have never been happier. As I said before, I got my foot in a power mower when I was 6, and tennis shoes were the only thing I could wear that didnt hurt. Your shoes are so soft and comfortable that I can be on my feet all day with no problem. The only thing I can say is I wish I had known about your company years ago. Thank you.

Tanner Shoes is a scam. The boots are plastic not leather and you cannot return to China as the delivery back is more expensive than the shoes.

I ordered a pair of Leather shoes from Tanner Shoes USA. as the Sales pitch said "after 35 years of business, now we are retiring. Everything must go with 80% off. Every pair of shoes are handmade leather shoes, stitch by stitch" I paid $83.9, and received a pair of cheap plastic ones. It was shipped from Vernon California. When I asked to return the goods, I was given a rural address in China. Plus, I had to pay the international shipping cost?? To make the matter more strange, my credit card was charged in DULVEN, Netherland. What's going on?? Obviously, a handful people are engaging fraudlent business. Hoping the Chamber of Commerse will after them soon.

They are a total scam. They advertised as American business going out of business. In an effort to show some support purchased a pair of shoes, and both pair were trash. They were advertised a 100% leather and were not even a good imitation leather. Do not buy from them, you will not get your money back, the refund policy is not honored.

They are a bunch of liars they are stealing from everyone who’s buying from them the advertising story and boots pictures are convincing. with haibuys selling Deerskin boots I with I could share the video so you can see the quality of their products

Well they advertised that they were an elderly couple in the US creating craftsman shoes made of leather. I do not purchase out of the country because of the implications of company practices. The pair I purchased was almost $100.
What I received was junk. Poorly made shoes from China and I returned them to the address given.

Well the US postal service stopped their tracking in Miami where they then transferred to another service. I have no idea what.
Well the company would not consider this and said it landed in Miami and will not refund me.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, they are full of lies.

This is a fraudulent company. The company is built on a lie and the shoes are the worst quality possible. In addition the sizing chart they use is incorrect, do even if the shoes were worth wearing, they are the wrong size.
It appears this company is now selling leather bags online. I guess they will perpetuate this scam until the general population wises up to these devious con merchants.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. PLEASE READ OUR REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING. I payed a total of $90 for shoes that I had expected to be decent quality. I recieved shoes that aren’t even worth $5. I tried to send them back to get a full refund, and apparently they go to China on your dime. After much communication with them, I was finally able to receive 40% back of my money. I am very dissatisfied and upset, and I really hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Tanner shoes is a fraud. Not made in America. Not going out of business, not some old man and his wife closing out hand made shoes. Cheap garbage shoes and boots with a fraudulent advertising campaign from day one. They should be investigated for anti trust and fraud. Get the FTC on their butt. Scammers!

Scam Alert – Avoid Tanner Shoes at All Costs

I placed an order with Tanner Shoes over a month ago and never received my product. Despite multiple emails clearly stating that I did not receive the package, their only response has been to send a tracking number and a vague photo with no proof of delivery or signature.

No delivery person came to my door, no signature was collected, and nothing was ever delivered. For all I know, the delivery person took a photo and walked away with the package—or it was never delivered at all.

What’s worse is that after I raised these concerns, they ignored the issue and refused to issue a refund. Instead, they kept insisting the item was delivered, completely disregarding my statements. This is not only poor customer service—it feels like outright theft.

After researching them online, I found many similar complaints from other customers who also never received their orders. This company has a bad reputation, and now I understand why.

Tanner Shoes is running a shady operation and should be avoided. I’ve now had to escalate this through my bank and plan to file complaints with consumer protection agencies. Save yourself the frustration—don’t order from them.

It's a cheap oversea made shoes. I am not 100% sure if it all leather shoes. Its hard to return and phone number listed on the website is temporary out of order. email support is trying to get more money back as I complain about the shoe quality. The AI or Luvy J told me it will be costly for international shipping for the return. Why will it be an international ship if it was made in the US? I am 100% sure its not made in the US - US designed as it says. It may well be a complete scam.

After I placed my order I got scared thinking I might have been cheated out of my money. But when I received my order, the shoes were beautiful and well made. They are real leather and exhibit true workmanship. My husband is very happy with his Birthday gift. Thank God I received what I was expecting.

The quality, look and feel of the shoes is excellent. I ordered one pair of walking shoes and was so happy with them, I ordered a pair of Chelsea boots as well. These were equally comfortable and look great. There was one very minor flaw, however: there are leather strips attached to the zippers on either side of the boot, and one of these was missing. It could well have come off after I received the boots. I wrote to the company asking for a replacement leather tie ONLY, and I emphasized that I was NOT seeking to have the boots replaced. They are sending me a second pair anyway!! I have never encountered such excellent service from any company! I'm almost embarrassed!
SOME PEOPLE ARE WRITING TERRIBLE REVIEWS ABOUT RECEIVING CHEAP CHINESE JUNK INSTEAD OF THE HIGH-QUALITY SHOES I RECEIVED. THERE MUST BE SOME WAY OF HACKING A COMPANY TO REDIRECT ORDERS AWAY FROM THE LEGITIMATE COMPANY TO A PHONY ONE. I, TOO EXPERIENCED THIS WITH A COMPANY SELLING SWEATERS. THERE IS A LEGITIMATE TANNER COMPANY. THEIR PRODUCTS ARE EXCELLENT. PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE ORDERING FROM THE CORRECT PLACE.

Do NOT order from Tanner Shoes (Kaser Online B.V.). It is a fraudulent Chinese company. I found out about them after I made an order on 05/08/25. There is NO Henry and Margaret Tanner, and all the images and testimonials are created and fake. Their products are not even TEMU quality. They ship inferior products and make it very difficult to make a return, although I did manage to get a partial refund. I ALMOST always research a company before I do business with them, but I was taken in by the apparent legitimacy of a supposed American company. I'm going to register a complaint with PayPal and suggest they remove their service as a payment option.
