The internet is not producing the speeds I have signed up to, ie 500/50 mbps Home Fast plan. I currently get 93mbps download and 40+ upload. The download speed is well short of satisfactory. Further their Home Phone Technical support is ordinary, whereas I had my own modem with VOIP adaptor of which they couldn't get to work. Purchased their Netcomm NF20 Router with build in phone connection, unfortunately 10days elapsed before Home Phone was operational. Sought further assistance with the download speed issue once again, reset NBN modem, Netcomm Router with performance less than when diagnostics commenced including the reset of the modem deleting Home Phone Settings. Despite what Tangerine advertises, it does not have a Complaints Department, furthermore it seems Technical Assistance Staff are not proficient in troubleshooting or resolution. In view of the above, I would recommend other Internet Service Providers in the first instance. As Tangerine are all care & no responsibility from my experience.

Had to travel to GoldCoast but no phone service on the Nullarbor and back blocks of SA and NSW not really a problem could of lived with that. I had a direct debit set up to pay on the 1st of every month, but if that day falls on a weekend you get charged a late payment fee. Tried to explain that my bank only pays during weekdays but they didn't want to know and said it was my responsibility to make sure it's paid on time. As if they can't wait a couple of days other companies do. I cancelled my service on the 1st of Dec after a rude exchange from customer service. I thought I paid in advance so I thought I owed them nothing but they kept chasing me for the money they said I owed them. They eventually phoned me and said I owed them $25, 1 month service so I paid them over the phone with my Master Card to get rid of them. Now they are sending me Invoices for 25 cents master card fee and $5 late payment fee and $3.75 service fee on an account I closed 16 days ago. I also accidentlly over paid by $2 every month for 8 months after I thought my plan had gone up, but I didn't see them return anything extra that they made from my money. So save yourself the hassle and stay away from this mob.

I'm usually pretty lazy about writing reviews, but this time I think they've earned it.
I ordered internet and a mobile SIM plan because they had a good deal, and I'd used them in the past with better experiences. Now, every step is a glitch.
NBN activation: It took them a week to activate my NBN box. I had to make 3-4 calls. After my last call, when I was furious, they finally called NBN service and connected it straight away.
WiFi routers: I bought 2 WiFi routers from them. After a week, I discovered they'd delivered them to the wrong address—a different state, completely unknown to me. When I raised the issue, they delivered to the right address but only sent 1 of the 2 units. I called and was asked to wait on hold for 1 hour before the line got cut. I had to call again and start over from the beginning with another associate. Then I was asked to send a photo to prove I'd only received one router. With multiple requests to wait, it was another 40 minutes on the phone.
Mobile plan: I tried multiple times to activate it myself, but an error occurred on the last step. I finally had to call customer service to get my new SIM activated.
All this communication with them has made me lose a few grey hairs. Definitely the worst service I've ever experienced from any network provider, and I've had quite a few of them.

Individual staff are fantastic...
...however, the actual service provided, the price and the contact options are woeful. Be aware of this if you take them up on a new customer discount

Have been going back and forth for months trying to cancel my service. Each new correspondence has at least a few days in between.
With my latest request, they didn't even bother to reply – just marked it as solved.

Dreadful service still have no nbn service for over a week and its impossible to find out why they just tell you nbn will contact you in 24 to 48 hours wait three days miraculously they fix it remotely only to lose service 24 hours later and have to go through the hole process again so still waiting and nothing happening

I purchased a mobile plan today, the payment was processed immediately, but the service was never provisioned.
My mobile number is not recognised in their system, and the chat bot blocks me from talking to a human agent.
I cannot activate my eSIM, I cannot get support, and the website keeps giving errors.
This company charges first and only then you discover you cannot access support or finish the activation.
Terrible experience. Completely unacceptable.

Changed my mobile plan to them. However, they never send the esim activation code. Since my phone was already deactivated, I tried to contact them trough whatsapp and opened a case on their portal. Got no response whatsoever... They were quick enough to grab my money however...

I recently referred my daughter that just moved into her own apartment to this telco and their customer service is none existent.After almost a week,she is still waiting to be connected.Every person you speak with tells you that it will take between 24-48 hours,and that happens every time she calls.I feel responsible for her struggling,due to my referral.Please be aware of them and the kind of service they provide.

Mobile Service. These days, the customer service bar has been set very low by most telecommunication companies. Tangerine is disgraceful.Network outages they conceal from their customers, Rubbish explanations. Overall, after 3 years, it was a very disappointing experience.

Moved from iiNet to Tangerine looking for better service sick of drop outs with IiNet and no fixes. Been withe Tangerine for a couple of months they have charged my bank account twice and yet have not yet set up my account or provided an internet service - I have concerns given that if there is no account where is my money going, is this fraudulent activity - seems I will be moving again - should have read the reviews first , so disappointing
Now with Optus and bank investigating the 2 charges to my bank account.
@Tangerine contact with your escalations unit should have been offered on the 2 occasions I contacted you - too late for that now but if you could find out where the 2 withdrawals on my account went and return the money that would be helpful

Rediculous. Charged "early termination" fee for moving properties yet staying with them. Then don't have internet for 4 weeks, they refuse to inform NBN to downgrade whilst Fibre gets sorted and keep charging me. No cummunication just "your order is on hold".
The data only SIM card is less than useless. It fails to connect to the internet even when showing 4-5 bars of reception. When it does connect the service is so slow it’s moribund. I went through 3 modems and 2 SIM cards attempting to get it working.

I have moved from More to Tangerine ~3 months ago. This was a first time for me seeing speeds go down drastically randomly while being on NBN 500 plan.
The price was really discounted so I went with it however the speeds drop off often, 4k videos buffer a lot. Will never move back to them!

I signed up for 500/50 speedy plan but I was only getting less than 100Mbps. I raised a case to report the BW issue but they just repeatedly say nothing is wrong with the service and all parameters are within standard. I disconnected and moved to dodo with the same plan but lesser money. Dodo delivers 500/50 as promised and even pointed out there’s drops in the NBN side that needs fixing. NBN fixed it apparently.
Never to Tangerine again. They dont care about the service, they only care for your money. Despite complaining they continued to bill me and doesn’t want to refund the unused days of the bill cycle after disconnecting from them.

Gotta say, never experienced such a poor communication of internet set up in my ten years in Australia.
Not only was I not informed of how long NBN set up might take, but I got no update about how or why activation was taking longer than a usual wait time. The Customer Service team did their best but said they could only leave notes for their Activation team - I couldn't speak to them directly to understand the issue. How am I meant to resolve an issue with a team who fundamentally cannot help the problem?

Worst service I have ever experienced. No internet for three weeks. Constant delays and miscommunication from their customer support team to resolve the issue. Horrible dropouts when it does work. Terrible support when it doesn’t. No problem solvers at this company. Having been with multiple providers I am confident in saying this is the most unreliable and unsupportive companies I’ve ever interacted with.
