The T-slim x2 works great

The T-slim x2 works great. Only one real complaint with the CGM side of things, even if it's not going to bolus for a low blood sugar, it would be nice to be able to tell it you ate something, that way it doesn't assume you didn't when your blood sugar goes the other way and the next day it corrects for the higher blood sugar, making you go low again.

Tandem t slim 2. Adam in service rocks!

I have a tandem t slim 2 and I really like it.
G7. This morning at 4 am my newly installed sensor a few hours earlier had been replaced and codes paired in pump and clarity. I replaced the sensor and I had problems with codes not being entered correctly and a few other things.the codes were correct.
To make a long story short I called customer support and was fortunate to have Adam assist me. He was very patient and kind. I am a senior and felt badly. He said he would help and in 25 minutes I was reset and my glucose reading was on the screen and insulin delivery resumed. Awesome. Adam you are a fine young man and I appreciate your understanding more than you will ever know. All the best You made my evening brighter.

Unacceptable.

Unacceptable.
Phone wait times have drastically increased to the point it's clear they have grave internal problems and shoddy customer service investment.
The G7 is abysmal. Only positive is very quick set-up times, but a wide range of other problems (out of range, no code, off the scale readings etc) renders this device beatable by all else on the market. I want out!

Customer Support Ignorance

My pump started having issues about a month ago with the battery not holding a charge very easily. I would charge it to 100%, but when it would reach 50% or so it would quickly drop down to 10 or 15% and then sometimes from that 10 or 15% down to 1-5% before shutting off. Then I have to reintroduce the cartridge as well as prime the tubing, which wastes a minimum of 10 units because you have to prime the tubing even though it doesn't need to be done again. The latest issue is last week I got a few errors stating my cartridge needed replaced; finally the 4th time I tried it accepted the cartridge. My pump is under warranty until 2026, but tandem does everything they can to not honor that warranty. I spent 20 minutes answering questions such as "did your sugar goes high during that time?" Of course it went high since my pump wasn't working to give me insulin. How high did your sugar go. It just read "high" because it was over 500. What did you do when it read that high? I have myself insulin. Stupid questions to frustrate the patient so the patient gives up talking to them because a brick wall would understand better than tandem customer service. I really want nothing to do with this company anymore. I'm hoping Omnipod will be able to help me leave this horrible company, Tandem. My advice to anyone reading this is to avoid Tandem and use Omnipod. I say that without ever using Omnipod, but they have to have better customer support than Tandem!

The customer service is horrible

The customer service is horrible. My pump stopped working and they told me I'd get a new one the next day. They didn't ship it and can't tell me why. I was with Medtronic for 35 years. They were much better with their service. Very unhappy

Tandem is Horrible

I have had the Tandem Mobi for less than three months and it has already burnt out the motor and it had to be replaced. Additionally, I landed in the hospital due to inconsistencies with the pump. I have tried to return this product for over a week, and they said they submitted the return. Haven't heard back from my local rep as she is probably upset to lose some commission and also the technical support team has been less than helpful, except for one person Shane. I have asked them to send me cartridges also because I will completely out tomorrow, and they shipped it ground so I will be without a pump for a few days. This is very dangerous and should be addressed. I have tried everything, even trying to post on their twitter for help. No reply. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know, I really need help. Thanks.

BEWARE of Tandem

BEWARE. My wife tried to upgrade to Dexcom G7 with her t-Slim pump but couldn’t due to the fact that her pump warranty had just expired and the software release on her pump was not current. Tandem would not offer her any support !!!

Tandem Lego Type Supplies WARNING

Tandem Lego type syringes and cartridge screw type connectors are just junk.Be prepared to lose insulin in the exploding weak connections! Tandem customer servicecwill graciously refer you YouTube and "Resource Guides" that provide no useful information. This used to be a 5 star company. Medtronic has another new customer.

Tandem infusion sets are horrible

I find the Tandem T-slim X2 pump itself to be very good despite the cumbersome steps to refilling it with insulin, but a good pump is useless if there aren't good infusion sets to go with it. I have 26 years of experience with using an insulin pump with infusion sets. I have never been more frustrated with it than I have been for the past year since switching to Tandem. I have tried nearly every infusion set they have and none of them work as well as the Medtronic infusion sets. I understand the infusion sets are primarily made by the same company, but either it is a poorer design or poorer quality materials. I'm lucky if I get more than 24 hours of good delivery from a Tandem infusion set before it starts leaking, and that is if I divide large insulin boluses into a couple of smaller boluses because anything more than about 5 units at one time is more likely to leak. (I got the idea of dividing boluses from a social media group where other Tandem users were having the same issue.) This also means having to take insulin at least a half hour before eating so I have time to do more than one bolus and it has time to absorb. If my insurance company would allow me to, I'd go back to Medtronic immediately just for the superior infusion sets that helped me maintain more stable blood sugar control. Both Tandem and Medtronic have pros and cons, but again, a pump is useless without effective infusion sets and Medtronic's were much better. If you take very little insulin such as no more than about 4 or 5 units of bolus at a time, are on a low steady basal rate, and can afford to change the infusion set every 48 hours, you'll probably do fine with Tandem T-slim. Otherwise, the infusion sets will likely be an issue.

The tandem source online portal is useless

The tandem source online portal is a joke, as well as their customer service. I haven't been able to order supplies online due to some error, and when I call Tech Support like they recommend, they just ask me to clear cookies and switch browsers a couple times. Then they say a Tech Support rep will reach back out in a couple days. No help at all, and then when I call to order supplies, they aren't available on weekends.

Medtronic vs.Tandum

I’ve had a Medtronic insulin pump for the past five years. I recently switched to the Tandum X2 slim. I couldn’t be any more disappointed with this pump. I’ve had a lot more low blood sugars since I started using this product. It is often that I’ve had trouble, changing the infusion set and the insulin cartridge. My suggestion is to do your research before switching insulin pumps.

They sold me a product they don't even…

They sold me a product they don't even have in stock. They were quick to take my money for the down payment. They made promises regarding to shipping that never happened. I had originally thought I would go with Medtronic but the endo office talked me into this mysterious Mobi pump that they don't even have in stock. They told me I was an early access customer which I interpret as I'm a beta tester. No one could provide an acceptable solution other than I have to wait until they get pumps to mail out. Supposedly that's a week away but I sincerely doubt this will happen. I was duped into getting this pump. I was promised a pump this week and nothing. I had to call THEM to find out that this product is not in their inventory even thought I was told it was in stock when I placed this order. I'm furious. Supposedly shipping takes another week so I'm not going to see this pump for at least two weeks and then I have to have training and who knows how long that will take to arrange. I spoke with their escalation department and got NO satisfaction. I don't want a refund. I want a pump. I'm taking seven shots a day. If they don't have this Mobi pump (and frankly, I don't care a whit about the size of the pump), then they need to send me another pump. They are ridiculous. I spent so much time on hold today while they scrambled to try to find out what is going on. How can I trust this pump when the people who make and sell it can't seem to figure out how to do either of those things. I bet my payment plan starts for a product I don't even have.

No one cares I’m a type one diabetic…

No one cares I’m a type one diabetic who has a tandem pump . I had received errors for my dexcom that say invalid transmitter id . A call to dexcom and a call to tandem and well nothing was found and I called tandem back another day. Tandem had me restart another sensor this is number three . So tandem calls dexcom and they get me sensor replacement and new transmitter . Yeah that part didn’t happen 5 days later it’s Thursday and still nothing so I call tandem after dexcom let me know they were sending out sensor! Tandem says sorry I understand well I said no you don’t I am a single mother of three kids that is a type one diabetic with hypoglycemic unawareness, I need their product I get sick without it with terrible control. I check every 2 hours yes round the clock vet I don’t feel like dying . I’m a nurse and it affecting my ability to work . No one cares we can make an email that was a supervisor with attitude and no answe. Well I left holding the bag and they pretty much told me to pound sand. I am going to blast this company from here to hell and back I asked for resolution .On top of it of the transmitter is the problem or I will have to get a replacement pump. So I’m screwed and getting sicker by the day ! Watch these people are just about the money and don’t care about their patient safety or prioritize my health over their profit!

Consistently late supplies deliveries

Consistently late supplies deliveries! So unsafe!! Every single time I have ordered supplies, I end up having to bum a sample or two off my doctor. Insurance denies order if I order too early, but even when I pay extra for two-day delivery, inevitably, it takes WEEKS for them to even ship the order! I just had to call them AGAIN because I am using my last infusion set and I was told that even though I ordered over a week ago (after an infusion set accidentally got yanked out and another went bad…so yes, this time it’s a true emergency), there’s no sign of when it might ship. At the point I placed the order, that rep told me that (again) the order would be expedited and should ship in the next day or two. The rep today told me there’s no way for him to figure out why it hasn’t shipped. I asked what I’m supposed to do over the weekend and the guy was so dismissive. Not his problem, I guess. Think I’m going back to Medtronic. I like the tandem pump better but I can’t keep taking these risks!

The worst customer support & Technical team

I constantly have issues with my pump and they won’t replace it (it’s 3 months old!) and twice tonight my cartridge only filled to 50 units and not even with the plus sign. Two days ago I filled with 250 units. No plus sign again and the meter read 150 units for two days. No plus sign. The first time I changed the cartridge tonight it wouldn’t even slide in/click into the pump. This design is terrible and so is the injection of the insulin into the cartridge! IM GOING BACK TO MEDTRONIC! 28 years on that pump and customer service and tech were TERRIFIC! I’ve been on hold waiting for tandem tech for 30 mins now and my pump isn’t working and my sugar is climbing!! This is ABSURD

Most frustrating pump to use

Out of all the insulin pumps I have used, the T-Slim has been the most frustrating and wasteful pump. It does not have the simple technology to tell you the cartridge is not full enough until you have wasted at least ten units for the fill tubing process. And don’t get me started on customer support. Use the Omnipod.
