I don’t usually write negative reviews, but when a service directly impacts my business, it needs to be called out so others don’t make the same mistake.
In short: the VoIP phone system does not work reliably. On every single occasion, outbound calls have failed completely, the person receiving the call cannot hear us, and we cannot hear them. Inbound calls connect, but consistently drop after around 32 seconds.
Today alone, my business lost a genuine lead because of this issue. An anonymous caller rang, the call dropped after ~32 seconds, they called back, and it dropped again.. followed by complete silence. Because the caller withheld their number, I had no way to return the call using a working phone.
After several hours, the lead rang again. I tried to quickly explain the issue and ask for a contact number so I could call back on a reliable line. Before I could do so, the call dropped yet again. At that point, the opportunity was lost.
For a small business with a limited marketing budget, this is unacceptable. When leads finally come in, the phone system should be the one thing you can rely on. This one cannot be trusted.
I’ll be moving to another provider immediately.
I'm tech savvy and have no issues with the multiple other softwares I use in the business, my mobile phone line works absolutely fine too. I've called them to discuss this in the past to be told they would investigate. I've also checked the settings they asked me to. All in all a massive disappointment and you're better off just using your mobile number for business calls as it is far more professional than the line disconnecting, or not hearing one another.

Have had a virtual phone number through Tamar Telcom for 8 years. It was easy to set up and has been totally reliable. Any queries I have had have been answered quickly and in a way that I could understand. Only leaving now as we are retiring. No hesitation to recommend.
