Bad customer support. Never responded to my requests. Provider is good, just service is bad

Talkspace is easy to schedule. Having counselors available after 5pm and on weekends is perfect for someone with a full time job. I've been working with my counselor for the better part of a year. Having his support and guidance has is such a blessing.

I found an excellent therapist through TS. However, it has become unaffordable and the offered subscriptions do not meet my needs or my budget. The rate in Oregon is around $50 an hour. The subscription offered during my latest renewal amounted to $200 an hour (four half hour appointments for almost $400). Definitely not acceptable.

The times offered are great and having the ability to schedule real help via the internet makes its so helpful. Especially living in an area that doesn't have many therapeutic options.

Being able to do therapy over the phone has helped me so much. I can talk to my therapist from the comfort of my own home and not have to worry about being late.

Amanda has been a compassionate therapist. While maintaining her professionalism she made it very easy to talk. She seemed as comfortable as I using those pauses between topics and questions. She gave me ways to help me gain a more meaningful way to deal with traumatic nightmares taking me back to the house fire, where I saw my husband of more than 20 years run directly into the flames. She’s helped me deal with the confusion, shock, disbelief that comes from such a crisis. I have gained more insight into ptsd and she helped me find those thoughts which help. At the age of 70 this was so unexpected. I was an RN until I became disabled from ms in around 2005. My husband was an 18 wheeler driver at the age of 70. He was my everything,my light. We were empty nesters. He had done so much to our home as my disabilities stacked up. The loss of all the cats/kittens which we had spayed, neutered, gotten them exams and vet care, lost in the fire still overwhelms me at times.Amanda helped me face emotions I had ignored, claiming no I didn’t feel that. She allowed me to be honest and open. And now near the end of our sessions, I feel blessed in having had Amanda to turn to. I’m feeling stronger in some ways as I think she helped me find my strengths. Also Amanda and Tech support were helpful and patient when I had connectivity problems in our very rural area.

I’ve honestly had a really great experience with Talkspace. I didn’t know what to expect when I first signed up, but it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my mental health. They matched me with a therapist and a psychiatrist who are both an amazing fit for me, which I know can be really hard to find. The app makes everything really simple scheduling, messaging, appointments, all of it in one place. The support I’ve gotten through here has been tremendous and has helped me more than I expected. I’m really grateful this app exists and would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s thinking about getting help but isn’t sure where to start.

Talkspace has helped me find a great therapist that I connect with and have been able to talk through many scenarios. The app is terrible doesn’t know what time zone you are in and sets everything to Central regardless. Disconnects randomly during sessions.

Terrible! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED They charge you $85.30 if even a little after start time and the provider is not even present. Which a late fee does not appear to be indicated in their terms especially when the provider is not on. Reported immediately while in session via a link for help, yet nothing was done during the session. Then they ignore multiple requests for information and resolution. I complained and they suspended my services after they indicated I would not have to pay, yet they continue to request payment. Highly recommend filing attorney General complaints, BBB complaints; of which there are many, and suing them.

Beware The only reason I chose one is because I couldn't choose zero. They don't inform you that the space talk space is for thirteen to seventeen years old.So, clients that are under thirteen are not allowed on the site.So beware users

Tamara is an amazing therapist. From the very first session, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. She has such a positive, kind, and genuinely caring demeanor. She’s an exceptional listener who uses motivational interviewing in a way that truly empowers you to steer your own journey. Her guidance has been practical and actionable, giving me clear steps to work through my fears, anxieties, and challenges. She is Godsend and enjoy meeting with her.

I had my first therapy appointment with Talkspace on 01/29/2026. Over 30 days later, my insurance had still not received a claim. When I contacted Talkspace to follow up, their support system offered no category that accurately reflected my billing issue, forcing me to select the closest available option — superbill — which routed my ticket to the wrong queue and resulted in a response that took over 10 days to arrive.
When they finally did respond, their billing supervisor provided a wall of irrelevant CPT code information and stated that my claim "has been submitted" and "has not finalized" — language that clearly implied it had been in processing for some time.
I contacted my insurance directly and was told the claim had only been received the day prior, on 03/02. Talkspace had not filed it until I pushed them to act. When I raised this, I was met with deflection at every level — shifting excuses, policy justifications, and carefully worded non-answers all the way up to Associate Director level. Not once did anyone plainly acknowledge that this was handled poorly.
I was not asking for compensation. I just wanted honesty. That was apparently too much to ask.
The therapy itself may be fine, but if you plan to use insurance, be aware that you may need to chase your own claims and verify submissions independently. I have never had a billing experience like this with any other healthcare provider.

She’s tentative & hears you. I’m going through grief and she’s honestly amazing. I reflect a lot on our sessions. I look forward to see her every week. I love her!
