Withdrawn my application in disapproval

Recruiters: if you want to lose candidates, then, by all means, use this company or other AIs to completely manage your recruitment process.

I've just withdrawn an application for a job that I was genuinely qualified for due to the recruiter going through the selection process without any form of human interaction. Granted, the job description already was a major red flag, as it was riddled with AI clichés, but I still decided to apply, until the next disappointment. It's one thing to let me upload my cover letter and CV, while also asking me to repeat myself over and over again in AI-legible text boxes on the application page (via Varbi), it's another thing to let my referees communicate (via Refensa) with an AI chatbot that then sends summaries or evaluation reports to the recruiters. I value the time and efforts of my referees too much to submit them to the possibility of a "copilot" twisting their words, misinterpreting them, or for a human recruiter to not even read what they wrote. Therefore, I decided to end the application process then and there.

Furthermore, I cannot even blame my referees if they would be wary of using "strong authentication" outside of government or banking websites. Despite the GDPR compliance message, I understand the apprehension toward communicating with Talentech's Refensa - especially, again, because it's an AI. My mailbox, in any case, flagged the email from "Refensa" as potentially dangerous, so I almost deleted it anyway.

Of course, if the company who's hiring has 400+ applicants for one posting, I guess this is a good way of significantly narrowing down the number of candidates.
