I purchased my 3rd Tactical trap within a couple of years. The third purchase was most recent. After receiving my Tactical trap, I decided that it just wasn't what I expected. It was smaller in size. I requested a return authorization. Tactical Traps gladly refunded my payment with no problem. I am sure to continue doing business with them in the future. Very nice courteous service with follow up e-mails. Thanks, Tactical Traps.

I was initially mostly happy with the mantle gun case. There were design issues that would take it to a 4*. However, it will no longer close. That's not even the issue. I have written support 4x now and they have not responded...not even to acknowledge that I've emailed them. Very disappointing. Even if they responded to tell me that I'm out of luck and that it can't be repaired. I'd still buy a replacement. At this point, I'm angry. Do not buy from them.

I ordered a custom frame similar to the Family Rules to hold my Mossberg 500. They did a fabulous job on building the case, it worked well and looks beautiful on the wall. However, it is not deep enough to close when the shotgun is placed in the foam. I'm not sure what shotgun is the same depth as a handgun, but beware and ask questions. Measure your guns to make sure they fit as this is really not what I needed.

I purchased the 35S Tactical Shelf expecting a quality product backed by the company's advertised "100% Satisfaction Guarantee." Unfortunately, that guarantee was not honored, and my experience has been consistently frustrating from the start.
Upon receiving the product, several issues were immediately apparent. Key components that were clearly listed in the product description—specifically the LED strip light and battery backup—were missing from the shipment. Additionally, there were no clear instructions regarding the Bluetooth functionality, and I was unable to pair my phone as described. The link provided for the app returned an “item not found” error. Researching further, I found multiple reviews noting that the Bluetooth functionality (which is a paid upgrade) often fails to work, especially on Android devices.
When I reached out to customer service within the 30-day return window to express my dissatisfaction and request a refund, I was met with resistance. Instead of honoring the satisfaction guarantee, I was asked to submit photos of various components, including internal parts of the unit, serial numbers, and quality control markings—something that should not be required if a satisfaction guarantee truly exists.
Hoping to give the product a fair chance, I installed the unit and began using it. After a month of no use, I attempted to access the shelf, only to discover a new issue—the unit would no longer close properly. I contacted customer service again, only to be told that I was now outside the return window and that they do not consider the unit defective. While they did offer a couple of DIY "fixes," this is not acceptable for a product in this price range. A customer should not have to troubleshoot or regularly contact support just to make the product function as intended.
In summary, potential buyers should be aware that:
The 100% satisfaction guarantee may not be honored.
Key advertised features may be missing from your order or not function at all.
Customer support is slow to provide meaningful resolutions and appears focused on avoiding returns.
The unit is overpriced relative to its build quality and reliability.
I regret this purchase and would not recommend this product to others based on my experience. If you’re considering this shelf, I strongly suggest evaluating other options.

One at the front door, one in the bedroom, and one next to my chair. I’d say I like them and the weapons are out of sight of the liberal daughter in law and the grand children.

This is the second item I have purchased from tactical shelves. I love these items. I will be purchasing more as the summer continues. Thank you for such amazing products.

DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!
Real use case. Bought two a year ago. One has a home defense rifle other has two pistols. A day ago, power went out and we had a young thug break into our garage. I went to engage my rifle hide and the lock seized. I had to pry it open. I transitioned to my backup and tested this morning. Same thing. These are not only complete crap will absolutely put your family at risk when you need to action a threat.
I sincerely hope this company not only goes bankrupt but gets sued into section 8 housing.

Looks great and works great the pistol. Storage area or the "drop" does stick a little but not enough to hinder access. I think it gets better every time i open it

Long time, multiple trap customer. Changed batteries today in two flag traps. One will not lock shut. Removed new batteries and tries again. Latch will not engage.
Customer service not available until Thursday (48 hours). I'll remove all of my weapons, and screw the thing shut.

I bought a shelf with a Bluetooth lock. I went to connect it to Bluetooth, to find out there is no app in the play store. They went back and forth for months saying the app was submitted and it would just be a couple days...2 months later and still no app...why did I pay extra for Bluetooth if they knew they didn't have an app

I purchased a Stars and Stripes MAX wall safe in August of 2024. I received it with no problems. Because of some home remodeling, it wasn't installed until February, so I have opened it about 8 - 10 times since installation. Last week the screws tore out of the cover for one of the shocks. I have tried calling, but there are no answers, and I cannot leave a message. I have emailed, but only received canned responses. At this point, I cannot recommend this to anyone. If I ever get a response, I will update this review.
Update as of 5-27-25
I was contacted by Tactical Traps, and they recommended some fillers to reattach the shock to the "lid". They failed immediately. Tactical Traps then sent a new lid and provided instructions on installation. It took about an hour, and the new lid is in place and working properly.
At the end of the day, the unit is back working, and I appreciate them taking care of this.

Horrible, been over a month since order. No one picks up customer service line, just directs you to send an email. Emails are answered with the same generic message everytime. “ your order just passed quality control, should arrive in 4 days”. They have been sending me that message for over a month now.

I purchased a Patriot 35S original shelf from an ad on Facebook that was a very good deal, then shortly after making purchase I was offered discount on Freedom 52R mantle shelf too good to pass up, after purchasing both I became leery of legitimacy of purchase, I waited 2 weeks with no notice of order update, I emailed company hoping they weren't going to tell me I was scammed and they returned my email the next day stating item finishing in production preparing to ship, Received shelf and it was everything they said it would be, awesome quality, design, and function, very satisfied. The 2nd larger shelf (52R Freedom) came damaged on left end, took pictures to document, emailed customer service and sent pics and they sent another mantle within days (unexpected response) which also showed up with damage on end but not as major, (unfortunately both were damaged on most visible side-left) up to this point customer service has been great!!! Now believing the odds of receiving an undamaged mantle were slim to none I decided to except the 2nd not as bad mantle. I emailed customer service stating I will just except 2nd damaged mantle and call it a day is when Tactical Traps customer service completely took it over the edge to a level far beyond anything I've ever experienced, my rep Donna said, and I quote, We want you to have a Tactical Traps product you will be proud of, so we will double package another mantle and ship asap which was 4 days. I have mounted this spectacular piece of artwork, and it looks beautiful and works flawlessly.
Tactical Traps customer service is far beyond anything I have ever experienced from any other company.
Just an FYI, I'm 63 years old and from an era of quality service, there has not been a company in ages with the excellence in customer service I've experienced with Tactical Traps.
P.S. I am an actual customer not being paid to leave a positive review

Seldom does a company stand behind their product(s) to a great extent, so when my "Recon" watch broke, I was pleasantly surprised when Tactical Traps not only addressed my problem in a timely manner, but replaced my watch. I was impressed with the way they gave my problem a work ticket, and once I emailed them my receipt, they honored their guarantee, and replaced my watch. I definately intend to do more business with Tactical Traps in the future. 🙂

It is my belief, Tactical Traps is a SCAM. They cite 10-14 business days to ship. Automated answering for the phone number saying no one is available, and delayed email correspondence that are lies. I cancelled my order via email and the reply indicated 5-7 days for refund. It does not take that long for a refund.
It is my belief, Tactical Traps just intentionally delays time, with no intent of delivering a quality product or refunding a cancelled order. SCAM

If I could give zero stars just for my experience, I would! I bought 2 shelves back in January had some noise issues with my 35S creaking a lot when I took it out of the box but I assumed when I hung it up it would stabilize it.. I was so wrong with that! The screws they send you are so cheap and short almost look’s like Chinese screws! Those three screws they send you would not hold up the shelf with $1000 + gun in it! I wouldn’t trust three screws into studs to protect over a grand of merchandise why are they?? Went out and bought a brand new pack of heavy duty thick industrial grade screws. Drove 6 right into 2 studs and 2 into dry wall with the anchors. Got the shelf installed and even with nothing on or in it it’s making a lot of noise when it’s opening.. This company asked me for multiple pictures and multiple videos over the span of 2 months! Every single picture was clear, showing every flaw that I had with the shelves. I had pictures of it when I opened the package because there was fingerprints and scratch marks all over the top of it! The company told me that they were my finger prints while taking the shelf out. The video was clearly showing the noise the shelf was making when opening!! When they didn’t like that they requested me to make a zoom account and set up a zoom meeting with them. I politely declined and tried calling them I have left multiple voicemails on their work phone and somebody’s private Cell named Kevin that’s supposed to get back to me! Never have I heard a single thing back over the phone. Have tried calling multiple times to only get to voicemail! Kevin called me once back towards the end of February while I was working and I missed his call, and I called him back the next day to get no answer?
I really wish I would’ve done a little bit more research into these shelves before ordering them. If you go to Amazon and look at some of the bad reviews, there’s a lot of people talking about the ebony shelf having problems! Falling off people’s walls, poor workmanship! Money back guarantee my a$$ lost over $500 on two piece of shit shelves that had finger prints and scratch marks all over the outside of it! Also yes the company saw every flaw but said since I installed the shelf already, I can’t return it and they require YOU to pay shipping to return it back to them which they don’t have anywhere on their website that I have already screen recorded every inch of!! This is a complete joke of a company would not purchase anything from them!!!!
