The best way to use this mob is to…

The best way to use this mob is to write / compose your book using their free site and app, copying what you have done EVERY DAY or WEEK, pasting it into a Word doc or similar, and finding someone else to publish it. DO NOT pay them for anything as they are no longer operating as a business, no one will help you or even answer a query. Trust me, DO NOT sign up for anything, just use the app to write your book and nothing else. They don't even print copies in the right size anymore, they come back in A4 size and are damn expensive. Such a tragic end to a great start.

I signed up in 2020 and paid $249…

I signed up in 2020 and paid $249 however didn't end up completing my book and cancelled my subscription. Since then, without my knowledge, 3 amounts of $299 have been withdrawn from my bank account. (Withdrawn every second year) Was it my fault for not checking the account? Yes! However it was an account I set up to one day use as a 'bucket list' (writing was part of it) and I rarely/never use it and now it has been drained. I've tried to contact Tablo numerous times, with no replies. How can a business be allowed to do something like this?

A publisher of words who can’t keep their word.

Thank you people! If only I had read these reviews years ago! Initially, the Tablo publishers engendered trust and inspiration. (I first heard about them on ABC Radio National, so what could go wrong?!) Apparently, everything. Terrible typos and shocking print errors in my first print run, (wherein I wrote in both French and English). Hence I paid for a second edition. Which thankfully printed well. Yes, the paper is thick and creamy, the cover is beautiful and the binding has a pleasing weight to it. However. after belatedly discovering that some of my books are to my surprise, actually selling, I am wondering where the royalties are going? As people are kind enough to order my book on one of several websites, pay for it, wait patiently for it to arrive in the post, I am curious to know to whom their money is being sent? I never expected to make much money from this venture (the writing itself was the thrust and creative investment), but it pains me to know that some unknown entity is benefiting from the entirety of these sales. The evasive Tablo rep has vanished. No amount of messages or emails procures a response. Are they even real?

I had published books with Tablo

I had published books with Tablo, but the RRP was so high the books did not do well. Also I cancelled my subscription with them and now over 12 months later they have just charged me for my subscription for my hardcover book - $770. I have tried to contact them but no reponse, all you get is some BS on a chat bot. STAY AWAY. I will be lodging a complaint with the ACCC.

I really wanted to believe in Tablo

I really wanted to believe in Tablo. I met with the CEO and found him pleasant and convincing. Initially things went well, although I always had to ask for my royalties. Currently I have three payments 'on hold' and no emails are being replied to. Although I have ceased my relationship with Tablo, they are still occasionally making a sale ... and I have seemingly no way of getting my royalty payment.

Waste of money

I purchased my Tablo in December 2023 and for a couple of months was very pleased. It rarely works now I have changed the antenna multiple times and it doesn’t matter whether there’s not a cloud in the sky or if it’s raining and cloudy. I am very dissatisfied, with what I thought was going to be an awesome addition to my TV viewing. I would not recommend this at all.

DO NOT USE THEM

DO NOT USE THEM. TOTAL FRAUD. They don’t respond to their emails. There is absolutely no way to reach a live person. Even the bot is non responsive. Their server is down 5 days a week. The website may look beautiful and appealing but it’s a very poorly run business with zero responsiveness. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Accidently setup account with these way-down-under normal people thinking it was tablotv - a very good product & app.
Tried to delete account but only have a bot that tells me to login and delete under settings..DUH. Can't get onto site unless you signup for 14 day trial with credit card info. Bot they use is from the subpar group of AI (asinine intelligence).

Fee for No Service

The Tablo website has:
“Get Started Today – it’s free” and
“No setup fees”

Part of the set-up process requires entering your credit card details. Tablo About Us page has: “You pay when you decide to turn your writing into a real book, sold in bookstores, via one of our publishing plans.

Authors are asked to agree to Terms and Conditions before publishing. I did not publish with Tablo.

On 23 November 2023 I created an account and deactivated it the same day. And that same day, I also emailed Tablo that I had deactivated my account and asked that no fees be charged against the credit card details provided.

On 6 December 2023 there was a charge on my credit card for $14.22 with description:
“Tablo Publishing Richmond Au
Foreign Amount U.S. Dollars 9.00
AUD 14.22 includes international Transaction fee AUD 0.47.”

Tablo Pty Ltd is based in Melbourne, Australia so it is unacceptable that any charges are in US dollars.

Recently the Federal court fined Airbnb for not making clear some bookings were in US dollars and not Australian dollars.

They are not responsive

They are not responsive. My ebook has been in proofing for 25 days, a process, according to their website, that takes 3-5 business days. Their customer service is only via email and after sending 3 emails, I’ve yet to receive an update on the status of my book. I’m at the point where I have to dispute my subscription charge with my bank.

Please avoid this company at all costs…

Please avoid this company at all costs and save yourself the trouble and hassle. I opened an account in December 2022 and published my book in early 2023. 10 months later, the e-version of my book was never published to Amazon, which resulted in a huge loss in sales. I tried to be understanding, but they keep making excuses as to why it hasn't been done. Their staff turn-over is massive. Then they ghosted me. It's too bad, because they have a great product/service, but their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. If you want your book to be distributed properly, don't use TABLO.

Do not use Tablo!!!!

The company charged me to publish my book and deliver 2 copies to me. But they never published or sent the book and when I canceled my account, I kept getting charged the monthly fee. There was no way to get a response from customer service. There is none! It is all automated. This is the worst experience ever and every month I have to dispute my monthly charge!

BUYER BEWARE

Tablo should be avoided at all costs. It's all positive until you start asking why your royalties aren't showing up despite proof of book sales. Then Tablo goes silent and never responds. These guys are crooks! If you read the reviews carefully, all the positive ones are about Tablo getting your money. The problem is when they're required to give it back. Stay clear of this company. Crooks and scam artists.
