Disappointing quality and experience

Ordered 3 teapot and cup sets online - arrived quickly but one arrived broken. The other two disappointing quality/finish - looks like seconds .... wanted to return/get refund.
Can't get hold of anyone on the customers service number - online returns have to be paid for or taken to shop - none near where I live

Ordered a click and collect online…

Ordered a click and collect online received email to pick up. Called store at Macarthur square to indicate I would not be able to pick up until Thursday, to find out my order has been cancelled and I will get a refund in 3 to 10 days. Being a busy person I shop online and now that it’s close to Xmas prefer the click and collect option. Stores except this one, will tell you whether the item you are purchasing is available at the particular store you have nominated. Not T2 tea. They prefer to take your money and then cancel and return your money however not for 3-10 days. Customer service was terrible. In store and customer care take no responsibility other than say “there is nothing we can do” you just need to wait. Appalling that they can take your money and return at their convenience. Would they think this would be ok if it was reversed?

I honestly can’t believe the state of this.

I ordered a teapot - you know, one of those well-known-to-be-delicate hollow ceramic objects that are known to break if not handled with a modicum of care?

It arrived two days later (fair enough) totally smashed to pieces, honestly in about 50 bits!

Then I examine the packaging and see there is zero bubble wrapping in there. It’s just been packaged up in some paper essentially. It never stood a chance.

Then I emailed to request another one - sent an email back telling me to expect a five day wait.

Then call their U.K. customer care number. Rings out repeatedly.

Send another email saying you know what just give me a refund! Same template response telling me to wait five days.

Guys, this is nowhere near up to par. It’s Christmas shopping season and you can’t be charging people upwards of 50 quid for smashed up ceramics and then failing to look after them. I’ve had to order a new one from a different retailer and now I look forward to a predictably painful process with you trying to get a nice orderly refund. Merry Christmas to me

T2 tea deteriorating service and quality

Terrible terrible experience this time. I’ve been ordering with this company for over 4 years now ( like one order worth $200 every 2-3 months ). The quality of the tea and service as general has been deteriorating steadily over the years and this year ( 2022 ) has been the worst when dealing with T2. Up until 2021 was good ). My bad experiences were:
1. One time expiry date on 3 products within 20 days!
2. The items arrived damaged with no assistance from customer care on a refund of credit towards next purchase. It was poorly packed by them without any bubble wrapping and just wrapped in paper…what were they thinking???
3. Worst experience was on November 26th when I placed an order and it wasn’t dispatched until December 12th! 17 days to dispatch an order! Then on top of that when I contacted customer service on November 30th ( since they guarantee a 1-3 day dispatch on their website) they didn’t respond. Then again I contacted them on December 4th and this time got a standard reply with the customer service representative not even bothering to check my order details. They wrote that due to high number of orders the order has been delayed to be dispatched and will be dispatched after 5 days instead of the 1-3 days! At this point my order dispatch was already delayed by 9 days and their reply was just inconsistent with the reality! Then on December 7th they sent another email to general customers saying that due to high orders there is delay in dispatching and orders placed before December 1st will be dispatched by December 9th ( end of week ). Furthermore, instead of showing real apology they acted as if this wasn’t their fault through the wordings of their email. My order fell in this category and guess what, December 9th came and went without the order being dispatched. Finally, according to an email that I got from T2 my order was dispatched on December 12 evening time but the tracking information is fake since Australia post says that that tracking number isn’t valid, so I’m not even sure if it’s true that they’ve dispatched the item. Never going to order anything from them online again. Their products were not bad but there are other better tea companies out there who offer better prices, better quality, better service for customers through better communication and of course better faster shipping! 17 days to ship / dispatch orders then waiting for many more days to receive the order is just terrible. Even orders from China on eBay or Aliexpress are dispatched and shipped faster than the pathetic lazy workers at t2 tea in Australia!
Update on December 14th: T2 tea company lied about dispatching the items on December 12 as I found this out after consulting Australia Post with the tracking number that they provide. On December 14th they finally dispatched the items and sent me an email saying that they cancelled 4 products out of 11 that I ordered since it became out of stock. Those were all supposed to be Christmas gifts and this company really put me in a difficult situation. Ordered items from November 26th and dispatched on December 14th. It took them 19 days to dispatch partial items from my order and it will take many more days for the shipment to actually arrive! I’ve lost all my trust with T2 tea and will never order from them again!

LOVE this tea

LOVE this tea! First came across it in Australia because tea tastes different than home out there and it made the homesickness better. YuM! Orange pekoe is the one!

Just terrible :((

Just terrible. I had the store package my gift, fully aware they were packaging it to be sent in the mail. Article arrived damaged. Lower management were happy to refund. Upper management not! I had been a member for 2.5 months, spent $400 in that time frame. And they treat me and my giftee, (a return service veteran struggling with mental health), like that?? No thanks. Cancelled my membership and will never set foot in one of their stores ever again. I’m now buying ethical, small company, natural teas (t2 lazily uses artificial flavours, I didn’t realise that when I started buying theirs) through a company I was using years ago. Tea is meant to destress people, this company has no idea about peoples needs and no scruples.

Great teas shame about the customer service

Great teas, shame about the quality of strainer and worse, the poor customer service response. Having been a customer for a long time and spent quite a lot of money we bought one of the glass teapots with infuser and after not very long the seal on the infuser failed so we could no longer use it. When my partner asked if we could buy a replacement (we didn't even ask for a complimentary one!) he was told this was not possible. Will not be buying T2 products in future.

I bought the large ball infuser $12and only lasted 4 months, when I went to the store , they said they were not surprised, so I bought 2 $16bstrainers, One one lasted 6 months till it fell apart. Both very difficult to get the leaves out of even with a brush. Never again, I will go back to a teapot

Green tea only because it makes you feel green and sickly

I just had the gorgeous geisha tea and am instantly sick with flu like symptoms. It has a very artificial taste. I never knew you could get so sick from tea. I read the reviews on the website afterwards and other people have gotten sick from it. I never though this could happen from green tea. It has literally ruined my day

Poor aftercare service

Purchased a tea for one set with matching milk jug & sugar bowl. Poor packaging resulted in the cup having a large chop and fracture line. In addition, despite them being in a set and all being aqua in colour, the colours on the cup looked washed out, almost as though it had been faded by the sun.
This was gift so I explained that I needed s quick replacement in order to get it in time for the big day.
I emailed and sent photos and received an email to ask for additional photos because they couldn't see the damage properly. As i was at work & could get the photos until later in the day (and still on a birthday deadline!) I replied by saying that it's irrelevant how much of the damage they can see, the cup is unusable (unless you wanted to risk a cut lip when drinking from it). No reply that day at all. Tried calling them and waited almost 10 minutes listening to music to then be cut off. I've had to reorder again to try and hope that it arrives is time.
I wonder if their customer care team are in Australia due to the length of time it takes them to respond; its surely got to be a time difference problem rather than such poor service?

Why so negative??

I don't usually leave reviews, but felt I should throw my hat into the ring after seeing all the negative ones. I have to say my experience with T2 has been overwhelmingly positive. I've ordered multiple times, received in a speedy time frame with pretty great packaging, dealt with customer service twice (both times my issue was resolved swiftly and pleasantly). Some of the teas are the best I've tasted. T2 offer a varied and diverse range of products and beautiful teaware. I'd give them a big thumbs up.

No customer care.

I emailed T2 7 days ago with a stock query and sadly never heard back apart from the automatic response, I completely understand that they are busy but 7 days is too long and I have now had to place my order elsewhere for my boyfriend’s birthday.

Great Quality Tea and Service

Bought from this website several times after their Physical Store in Leeds closed down. The teas here are incredibly tasty and refreshing, and I love the amount of care and design they put into their packaging. Great as gifts but also a treat when bought for yourself!

Very satisfied customer!

I was so surprised to see all the less than satisfactory reviews when I was ready to leave my review as my experience was wonderful!
My first teapot arrived broken and of course I was so disappointed. I contacted the company immediately. Sent them photos of the roughed up box and the broken teapot.
I receiver prompt emails and received prompt replies every time. Today I received a replacement teapot in perfect condition! And in a short amount of time.
I am extremely satisfied and would definitely order from them again! So many beautiful teapots and cups!!!!
I truly appreciate the great customer service that I received!!!!!

Ordered a lot of tea from the website online - 2 packets of the tea had pencil shavings in them. No response from customer service despite having contacted them multiple times. 6 months in now and they still don't care. Obviously serious quality control issues and even more severe customer service issues - do not buy from them. Think from a food safety standpoint someone should at least be checking these loose leaf teas.

T2 poor poor show

Went by a T2 store today and bought some Irish breakfast tea. I was assured it was the real McCoy. Well nothing was further from the truth. Pissy, nothing but pissy tasteless water. Avoid at all costs. Should complain to trading standards this was shockingly bad.

HORRIBLE Aftercare - T2 UK

I had an issue about an order and the "Customer Service" took FOREVER to respond. They lied about their responsibility of the matter, then they lied about the shipping then in the end they changed their mind and confirmed what they previously denied and said "whoops, we don't feel like resolving it". I used to love this store, and bought SO MUCH tea goods from here, but NEVER AGAIN!!! There are a million other tea companies, all of which are a thosands times better because of how they treat their customers.
