Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience – I would not recommend this company.

We paid £200 + VAT, which we were told included a £40 visiting fee and a £160 lump-sum charge for 2 hours.

However, the electrician was at our property for less than 20 minutes. After a very brief inspection, we were told that the problem was simply caused by using too many electrical appliances at the same time. We trusted their professional diagnosis and paid the full amount.

Unfortunately, the exact same electrical fault happened again just two days later.

When we contacted the company again, instead of offering any reasonable follow-up on their original diagnosis, they wanted us to pay additional charges for further investigation and testing of other electrical switches/circuits. During the conversation, we were even told that they might stop answering our calls.

In the end, we had to pay another electrician to investigate the problem. They identified the actual cause of the short circuit, which was the issue shown in the attached photo — not “using too many appliances” as we had originally been told.

So, after paying £200 + VAT for a visit lasting less than 20 minutes, the actual fault was not identified or resolved. When the same problem returned only two days later, we were asked to spend even more money on further investigation, and ultimately had to pay someone else to find and found out the real issue.

Based on our experience, we were extremely disappointed with the diagnosis, the value for money, and particularly the aftercare.

I would not recommend this company.
