Worst customer serive
I always paid my bills on time so didn't experience exactly same as other reviews. However, moving out from Switzerland, there is no possible chance for me to cancel the account. Additionally, my card was hacked, but Swisscard didn't take any further actions than me blocking the cards. They have no email adress, making it impossible to contact them + each phone call costs 1.9 CHF. There is no online service AT ALL. I do not recommend anyone using swisscard, I've had a terrible experience, customer service is terrible.
On top of that, I cannot even change my adress to my new swedish adress since I'd have to send them a letter or pay for a phone call.
Outstanding service.
Outstanding service.
I've been a customer for many years and have had several interactions with customer support. The service level they give is simpel outstanding.
Worst of the worst - a scam
I’m not at all surprised to come on here and see the worst reviews possible for SwissCard. They charge 13% interest and 30chf late fee - and make it impossible to get a bill to pay on time. It’s a joke, and they are very defensive when you call. I would drop them immediately but I only joined for the cash back - which, if I’d read the fine print - takes ONE YEAR to receive. So they earn waaaay more than 1% in a year that they pay you, by making it almost impossible to pay a statement on time. Total scam!!!! Go with Supercard instead.
Unlimited incompetence
Unlimited incompetence. Avoid them at all cost. I requested credit cards from them and gave all the corresponding documentation since the start. After that, they have come with 4 or 5 different requests separately! 4 of them they already had the information on hand and the last one was some crap about my wife's signature. One month wasted..... The worst of all is that I already told them to cancel my application as I will for sure keep my current credit cards. Now out of the blue, I received a 5th letter requesting something. Totally unsustainable, waste of paper nonsense. Shame on the COO...
Again blocked by Swisscard
Card blocked out of the blue this morning. Those guys are unable to provide an app that works. Like a trained monkey I opened the app before starting the payment process. Nothing happened, no message to confirm the payment. From the seller's side (Apple) the payment was initially confirmed. A few minutes later I got a message from the seller that the payment had not gone through, and the Swisscard app showed my cards as blocked. I had to call them up, going through a lengthy security check, until finally my cards were unblocked. As usual, you never get to talk to one of their incredibly well paid managers. It's always their underdogs who have to clean up the mess resulting from their incapacity. It took me two hours to correct the effect of this completely pointless block. I really wonder if SC managers are even users of their 'own' cards and their useless app or if they prefer the cards of their capable competitors instead.
if you change your address you have a side hustle here
I had to change my address so they blocked my cards. I changed it immediately and they did not reactivate the cards. instead they charged me fees for not paying. So it seems they closed the automatic charge from the bank as well.
How should I know that because of an address change I have to go through a whole process and get charged a lot of money for it... disgrace. Can't recommend this company.
Fraud commited by Swisscard
Swisscard as usual stole money from my account. They randomly decide some of my CHF transactions in my CHF card are in foreign currency and apply a 2.5% fx fee. Even if you find one of their hidden emails they don't reply to it. You can spend hours in useless phonecalls if they even pick up. Or you can send a letter they will throw in the garbage. So they rob you and you just have to let them because the Swiss government and regulator doesnt care about Swiss companies thieving particularly from foreigners.
By the way finally got through and they came up with some excuse as they think the company is abroad and they have to convert twice blah, blah. Tried to explain how this does not make sense I am paying a CHF cost in CHF there is no conversion at all and they did not care I assume it is a bug in their software that is very profitable and they do not care to fix. The Swiss regulator is as useful as wet carboard. Not the first time I had a dispute with a Swiss financial entity that make their own rules.
Swisscard via Miles and More
We have had Swisscard via Miles and More and it has been working ok. The last year they started to keep our payments for at least 72 hours before it shown on our account.. Last month they kept our payment for 4 weeks before showing it on our account and this month it has not yet been shown..
I can’t recommend this card!
Swisscard is an incompetent company
Unfortunately, in Switzerland American Express is only operated by this bad company Swisscard. Swisscard is a joint venture with Credit Suisse, so you notice the poor service immediately.
Very low service standards
Terrible service. Not only they still use paper copies for any communications and despite having an email dedicated to customer enquiries, I regularly get "undelivered" email notifications back. They also don`t know what a complaint or a dispute is and don`t know how to go about it. Their default reaction is to ignore. Hard to believe that they run services for Amex that has so much higher standards anywhere else.
Worst credit card service
Worst credit card service. Almost impossible to get the helpline m, website is horrible, the app is even worse and the service in general is very poor.
A Swisscard miles and more guy called me and ask me if I wanted to get the gold package without fees for the first year, I said OK and of course had to pay the fees.. I called back and told them about it and to check the recorded conversation, they told me the conversation hadn’t been recorded.. crooks
What for is such an app useful if you…
What for is such an app useful if you cannot temporarely reduce your expenditure limit by yourself. They only offer a form to increase the limit with a lengty procedure. This really would enhance your safety! Then you have no other contact option than by phone. More complex issues would need a direct contact via app or email. Both is lacking. I just have the feeling they think it is great to also offer an app even if of not much use. 2 yrs ago they promised improvement to another comment!!!!!
Not really what I would call user…
Not really what I would call user friendly. The mobile app is ok but with the same credentials the web app will not let me in. And payments made from the bank to the account are not even booked after 24 hours and that is within Switzerland. It’s been 2 years and their booking of payments is still incredibly slow. The login process for the app is ok but cumbersome. To change SMS phone number you need to call them, can’t be done via app. Basically minimalistic service.
Stay away!
Stay away!
Swisscard keeps charging us on the business platinum depsite us having cancelled our service and having a letter from them saying so.
horrible - spent already days on the phone with them.
Worst customer support ever experienced
Amex gold service provided by Swisscard in Switzerland. Service is awful and can’t be compared to UK or US. Amex needs to take direct control of the service. DO NOT GET AMEX card in Switzerland unless you want to be treated disrespectfully and rudely by Swisscard customer service!
Avoid Amex in Switzerland!
I tried to get card unblocked and the customer service lady just talked over me and then hung up. I was recommended to Amex by my boyfriend who has the Platinum card in the UK where service is excellent. In Switzerland the customer service is terrible. I will not be spoken to so rudely. I will be cancelling my card next week as a consequence of this bad customer service I received today!
Very unfriendly hotline service (Mr
Very unfriendly hotline service (Mr. Brugger). It sounded like he really doesn't want to help me and made me feel stupid. He was snippy and arrogant. I had to call for an address change (US) and also had an additional question about a recent payment.
They used to be super friendly staff. Maybe I was just unlucky today?
I signed up for the Swiss Miles and…
I signed up for the Swiss Miles and More Card after I saw an Offer on Instagram like: " Get now 25.000 bonus miles if you sign for the Miles and mores swiss card " Basically I'm still waiting 6 months and nothing. I spent my time trying to sort that problem out with loads of promises and it never ends! 6 phone calls and didn't resolve this issue! I'm just cancelling it!

Worst service ever
I am glad to read so many negative reviews and that I have the same issue than the other customers.
They send me my credit card twice to the wrong address while I called them to inform them it was the wrong one. I even wrote it on the contract when I received it (at the wrong address of course).
After they tell you it is your fault and you communicated the address too late (LOL). But thank you for sending my credit card and the code to my old address, you really have the worst service ever.
Utterly useless and pointless company
Utterly useless and pointless company, changed my address with them and they still sent my new credit cards to the old address. Phoned up a few weeks later to check that my invoices for my credit card would be sent out to my new address and low an behold they sent them to my old address, fined me for not paying my credit card in time and blocked all my cards. Useless company.
The Swiss banking system is absolutely dreadful, not being able to pay online with a debit card (like every other country) and not being able to make a simple transfer between your debit and credit card online is ridiculous. Inefficient and counter-productive system
