⭐️ 1 Star – Poor Quality Product & Disappointing Customer Service

I purchased a pair of fins that turned out to be too big for my feet. I wore them once for a couple of short laps in the pool, realised they didn’t fit properly, and returned them within a few days (the delay was only due to the weekend).

When I tried to return them, I was told they had scratches and were “damaged,” which I strongly disagree with. I took great care of them and only used them briefly. For comparison, I own a pair of Speedo fins that I’ve used multiple times in the same pool, under the same conditions, and they still look brand new.

This makes me seriously question the quality of this product. It seems like it’s made from cheap materials, as it shouldn’t show wear after such minimal use.

To make matters worse, they refused to exchange them for a smaller size—even though the sizing issue was the only reason for the return—and I was also charged an extra $20 to send them back.

Buyer beware. I’d recommend spending a little extra on a more reliable brand to avoid the hassle and disappointment.

Unfortunately the fins were returned in a used and damaged condition and as such the return was rejected.

For exchanging products they need to be returned in new re-salable condition and these were not.

The fins themselves were not defective or of poor quality, they were DMC fins which are the leading brand of fins.

Speedo Fastskin top price goggles came…

Speedo Fastskin top price goggles came with a scratch on one lens. Very disappointing!

Fantastic Service

Fantastic Service – Highly Recommended

The service at Swimmer.com.au has been exceptional. Eden was incredibly helpful in finding the right fin size for my training — even though my foot size is quite unusual. The support and communication throughout the process were top-notch.

Really disappointing

Really disappointing! Goods never received.
Supposedly courier delivered, signature forged and parcel left on doorstep and stolen.
Request a signature on delivery!

Regardless of what Swimmer.com.au have responded with the goods were never received. The timeframe was not 40 days - it was supposed to have been delivered on 11/02 and I flagged the parcel missing on 16/03 to swimmer.com. 23 working days. 31 days total. Very disappointing with the embellishment. Facts are facts.

This parcel was sent with Australia Post and an Australia Post investigation showed that the parcel was signed for (it was not left).

Auspost also confirmed that the GPS co-ordinates where the parcel was signed for was at the customers address.

Normally Auspost can ask the driver for more details about the delivery, but on this occasion it was 40 days after delivery that the customer contacted us and said they didn't receive the parcel.

With this much time between delivery and the report from the customer it was not possible to dig deeper and unfortunately we sided with the Australia Post investigation data that the parcel was in deed delivered.

Go somewhere else to buy your swimming gear

Having bought a lot of swimming gear from this company over the years I too was impressed until I wanted to return an item.
Item was zoggs predator goggles. Very expensive ones.
I have bought these before with no problem, however as usual once a product gets popular the quality goes down.
They leaked like from first use.
Of course when it came back to returning, reply was oh no you've used them. If they were a cheap aldi special understandable, however.

I will not use this online company again , nor will I recommend them as I have in the past to many other serious swimmers.
Very disappointed 😞 considering the price, plus being a great customer.
Go elsewhere

The reason why ibsaid i would persevere with the goggles was because you would not offer an refund etc.

We were sorry to read your 1 star review, the last time we heard from you was on the 12th January and you said you were going to persevere with the goggles.

As we mentioned, the pair of goggles you purchased were not the same model as your previous goggles and it sounded like you were having a fitting issue with the goggles which was not a manufacturing fault.

Had you of come back to us with an update we would have been able to work out an alternative for you in good faith.

Extremely disappointing encounter

I bought new goggles from Swimmer.com.au for my very first ocean swim. I kept them in the package until the morning of to ensure they were good to go!
I did the swim and somewhere between finishing it and getting home, one lens had fallen out. I couldn't find it anywhere and was so disappointed as they were great Speedo goggles.
Any other faulty items I've had, the company just requests a photo of proof and they refund or replace. I took clear photos of them then put them in the bin. I didn't think for a moment that they would want them back to replace the lens or resell.
When I sent the photos and explained what happened, who I now know is the owner, replied and said that I had to return the item so that they could assess them - despite me sending clear photos.
When I explained my honest mistake, she showed no understanding or care and said 'I don’t know of anyone who throws a product away and then expects a replacement or refund, that’s not how the world works.'
I am almost $70 out of pocket, have no product to show for it and have shopped at Swimmer.com.au 3 times.
I asked for goodwill to be expressed here to an honest and returning customer to which the owner, denied.
I am so disappointed. Not only is the owner not caring for a returning customer, but she's been very rude and offensive and I have a family to provide for and cannot be out of pocket like this because of a faulty product.
I understand now that there is a policy about this but obviously I acted before I'd read the fine print. An honest mistake, and one I won't make again - that's for sure!
If the owner could please reconsider a refund and to show some understanding of this situation, I would be most grateful.

Unfortunately this information is correct, for some brands we can't process warranty claims without the goods. Please don't discard items if you intend to make a warranty claim.

If an item is faulty we will always provide a pre-paid returns label for it's return once we check with how the manufacturer wants to proceed.

Bad experience in years

Good experience until a return & refund is requested.
Incorrect suggestion is given as well.

Their sale price is higher than other shops, do some research.
First online shop I shopped in years do not offer refund when the goods is returned. And I shop a lot.
No way you can spend the exact credit offered either purchase another expensive item or someone might just forget their 'credit' after months

I don't understand if this kind of return policy is allowed without a refund option to customer.

Unfortunately we don't refund sale items (unless faulty) as per our returns policy. We happily provided you with alternate options you could exchange to or a credit note.

It's not true that we ignored your messages, in fact our email thread shows we replied to you on 9 occasions, usually within 1 hour of you sending us your questions.

This negative review is a reflection that you don't like our policy on refunding sale items.
