Sarah is a really great coach and…
Sarah is a really great coach and getting me moving towards goal of being able to swim 1-2km front crawl. Sarah is knowledgeable, personable and tailors my sessions and drills to target specific areas of my technique. I am really enjoying the training and have a sense of achievement at each session. Strongly recommend Sarah to any adult looking to step up their swimming.

Great 1-2-1 swimming lessons
Our instructor has proved great at engaging with my son and getting him to follow instructions even though he would normally have trouble with this.
He’s made some great improvements over the course of a few lessons and really looks forward to his next lesson.
The lessons are relatively easy to book online but it takes a bit of back and forth on the online calendar to check dates and times, especially when booking a large block of them, which could be made easier.
The pool is quite small but is normally quiet when we go and more than adequate for his needs
The lessons are quite expensive, especially with the flexible option, but have found them overall to be good value for money.

We love Jan M
Lessons with Jan M in Bristol have completely transformed my 9 yr old’s feelings about swimming. He dreaded school swimming lessons for days in advance and made no progress at them.
He agreed to a single trial lesson with SwimExpert only but immediately liked and trusted Jan M and was happy to do more.
His progress has been incredible and he now considers swimming lessons to be “fun”. He could not swim at all when he started. He has now done a total of 15 lessons with Jan and can do the full length of the hotel pool using front crawl or back stroke.
The lessons are expensive but Jan’s individual approach and being in the pool to demonstrate and support mean that my son has made more progress in months than I would expect in years with group lessons with the teacher instructing from outside the water. He works hard for the entire 30 minute lesson. He is either listening to Jan’s instructions or carrying them out for the entire lesson.

My daughter takes lessons with Jan, who is a superb instructor. Not only is he technically excellent but he is able to convey this skill and experience in a very patient and motivational way. Lessons are packed with practice and teaching. My daughter has learned more with Jan in 30 minutes than she has in weeks of group classes. We intend to continue instruction with Jan - he is excellent - very professional. Highly recommended.

1:1 swimming with Aimee and Jan
We have used SwimExpert on two occasions. Both times we booked 10x 1:1 sessions for our 7 year old son (in 2023) and 5 year old daughter (still ongoing, 2 lessons left when writing this review). They both started with confidence in the water and in the lessons they focused on techniques. My son can now confidently swim across the 15m pool with one stop and my daughter just started swimming with aid. Highly recommend SwimExpert, they adopt their lesson plan according to the child's abilities and progress. They make it fun and enjoyable. Added bonus that the water temperature is nice and warm most of the time. Wanted to say thank you to Aimee and Jan who have done an amazing job.

I have been really pleased with the lessons my child has had with Danny. He is a great teacher and quickly built a good rapport with my daughter. He explains techniques clearly but also makes lessons fun. As a result, my daughter has enjoyed learning and is making much quicker progress than in group lessons.

Brilliant swimming instructor at Brentford branch
Luke at the Brentford branch is second to none when it comes to teaching children to swim. He makes the lessons fun and engaging for my 7 years old boy. We have been having regular lessons with Luke since October 2023, and my son has made great progress. Initially, my son was very reluctant to submerge his face under the water and didn't want to go swimming. With Luke's help, he can now swim 5 to 10 meters and his confidence in water has grown tremendously. We can't thank Luke enough, he has always been patient, kind and encouraging towards my child. Luke knows exactly what my boy needs to progress and gives out very useful tips. The lessons are pricey, however it is worth it. The customer service team are also wonderful, always there to help if/when I need to reschedule our lessons. Thank you everyone!

Excellent swimming lessons
Ciaran from Swim Expert has been brilliant with my children. They both love their lessons and have become really confident in the water. My son has some complicated special needs and through Ciaran’s patience and good humour, he has taught him to swim. We are thrilled.

My son has Autism and Adhd , and he doesnt really feel comfortable with other people and dont follow instruction that well. However Ingrid really did a great job. We see improvements every week . Bristol lessons with Jan & Nikolas
My son has swimming lessons in Bristol with both Jan & Nikolas - his swimming has come on brilliantly & his confidence has grown so much. We love the way that both instructors get the best out of him, they are super helpful & build him up by focusing on the positives rather than any negative points about his swimming. My son loves coming to the lessons & is keen for more! Jan is particular is really focused on encouraging him to be the best he can be & is excellent at liaising with us as parents asking us what it is that we want from the lessons too.

Great teacher
My daughter has grown in confidence from sitting on the edge of the pool to swimming independently with a float in just over 2 months thanks to Shay. Great teacher in a nice calm environment.
