Super easy to sign up. Search is really well organized, making finding what you want simple.
Buying isn't complicated, with most vendors having multiple secure payment options. A really great resource for finding quality mobile devices at good prices.

Long story short
Long story short, I really don't know how swappa is able to have account holders verify the legitimacy of the items they sell. But What I can say, the process, at least in my experience works. I was very pleased by the purchase and price. An is actually surprised by the experience. I rarely give 5 stars on anything. But Swappa gets 5 stars from me.
