Highly recommended

Really informative, useful and enjoyable sessions. Alan and Steph are really knowledge and engaging to share their knowledge with others. Very passionate about the conservation aspects of the work and doing a great job in the area. I've recently been on a tree ID course and a foraging walk, both were brilliant and I'd definitely recommend to others. Thanks!

A great day

I highly recommend this foraging experience. I enjoyed how simple yet highly advanced the day was. Learning about plants on my door step that I would not usually even be aware of. We learned about edible plants and how to prepare them. We also were shown what to be cautious of. It was relaxing to spend time with Stephanie, Alan and the group preparing the food we had foraged and cooking around the fire. I would do this again. Worth the money. Michelle

Absolutely worth every penny!

Steph and Alan are lovely, knowledgeable people with a background in Arboriculture, plants, foraging and sustainability of woodland.
I attended a half day course and learned so much about wild chives, onions and mushrooms. We prepared our food and had a warm fire surrounding us with a warm herbal tea and listening to the Robin's surrounding us.
We got sheltered by the tarps and enjoyed Nature pure.
Definitely worth the money and I would encourage anybody to go out into Nature and learn also to make a fire... We got book tipps and other links to continue this journey. I am waiting for the next course to book! Many thanks to both of you. See you soon again.
Best wishes,
Sonja

Highly recommended. Good for all ages.

I've attended two of Sustainable Life's foraging events at Birmingham's Manor Farm Park.

Foraging experts are very knowledgeable and engaging. Events cater for all ages, and the experience differs throughout the seasons.

A walk around Manor Farm park takes about two hours.

Highly recommended.

I attended a willow basketry course…

I attended a willow basketry course with Sustainable Life which I greatly enjoyed. Stephanie's experience shone through and she was accessible, clear and helpful in a really positive, attentive, patient and motivational way. The course took place in a lovely woodland area by the River Rea which Stephanie shared knowledge of. Very professional, informative and practically useful course. I'm grateful and would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic workshops and resources for public, volunteers and community groups

The Jewellery Quarter Cemeteries Project has worked with Sustainable Life on a number of aspects of our project, including running foraging walks and developing family activities.
They are brilliant to work with because of the deep knowledge they have about the natural world and their broad experience of working with the public, volunteers and community groups. They also produce really fab printed and digital resources and marketing materials which is a big help for a project like ours with limited staff resources and time.
We have always found Sustainable Life to be professional and friendly and look forward to collaborating with them on other aspects of the project in the coming months.

Highly recommended!

I worked with Sustainable Life for a short while and during that time I learned a huge deal about sustainability, foraging, cooking, plants and so much more. The team are bright and knowledgeable and a lot of fun to be around. The biggest thing I took from my time with SL was the power and potential of community. I look forward to attending more classes and workshops, meeting more people and discovering more about myself along the way. Highly recommended!
