Beware, they will charge you a fortune and will refuse refund

Today I noticed a huge transaction by Wix in my credit card statement, going back to 29 August which is less than a month. I logged in to my account and saw I was charged for a premium service which I had not signed for. I filed a request for a refund but was rejected as the transaction was longer than 14 days. I am in the process of starting a dispute with my bank. I recommend all small businesses and freelancers like me to avoid Wix, or you will suffer the same fate as me!

amazing

Wix is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
- You have a lot off freedom and great for small buisinesses
- You can add apps to grow your buisiness
- You can edit photo's like a pro
- Unlike other website builders you can do anything you want
It is still helping my buisiness grow like crazy!

Shocking sharp practice in renewals

Shocking sharp practice in renewal and refunds. I cancelled my premium website subscription by email and telephone call several days before it was due to auto renew. They went ahead and used my card to renew anyway. They then said they would consider a refund within the next 20 days. After more than 20 days I emailed them and demanded a refund. The next day I got an email saying that, having considered my case, they would refund my £122.40-within the NEXT 20 days, making 40 days waiting in total!!!!
I still haven't had any refund, having waited a total of 30 days so far !
Furthermore, I signed up with Wix several years ago, I seem to remember they said I could move my site to another host whenever I wanted. Obviously I misunderstood; you cannot move your website anywhere except Wix; they effectively own it!!

dont Use wix payments

You make me scream because you customer service is so bad. Whatever you do don’t sign up for wix payments. They are a shambles. Withhold your money, they stop taking payments. 8 days and not resolved I my business has come to a stand still. Call them and passed from person to person but you aren’t allowed to speak to the department that can sort it. Absolute disgrace.

Getting On My WIX

Yet another company going down the lazy DIY Customer service route meaning you go round and round looking for an actual contact. The drop down box where you have to state what the problem is, is so specific you have to lie and just pick something, because even clicking "other" you then HAVE to pick something.....are you still awake? Then i went to twitter to rant, someone eventually responded within 24 hrs asking me to inbox my details and the problem, so i did, within 24hrs by now the next day, someone got back and said I would need to speak to the advanced team and dicuss it with them and gave me a link. I decided to give up, the problem is I'm paying for a premium site, I want my website running pronto, there isn't time to be farting about back and forth via snail mail and going over the same situation, alot of my website was messed up over night with colour changes to boxs and font, i'm not hacked, i had someone check, and everything else and all other sites fine, so i needed to get to work putting everything right again which took hours but probably quicker than waiting on WIX ? A business that doesn't have easy customer service contact isn't a good business and should immediately rings alarm bells. Plus i've just seen my domain name which I paid £11.99 per year for when signing up is marked down for next year as £39.99 for 2 yrs????? how the hell has it gone up that much and why haven't I been informed about a large price increase on domain names? I'm paid up til July 2020 which gives me time to find somewhere else and while it means more work for me, i'd still rather that than stick with what has become yet another shoddy outfit.

I was surprised to see some negative …

I was surprised to see some negative reviews. I have been using Wix for our business website for several years. They have been unquestionably brilliant. The customer service and help was very good, and the website is easy to use. Editing the website and re-publishing is so quick and easy. I've used other website builders and this is head and shoulders better.
