My younger sons are helping to clear neighbors' yards that have gone jungle. We bought 8 Tramontina 18" machetes and the plastic surplus sheaths. S.Pax worked with us on shipping to find the most economical way to get them here to the Big Island. Many companies will not ship here or won't bother to find the best method and will quote shipping costs that exceed the price of the item. Simon worked with us and we are now helping our neighbors make our neighborhood less hospitable to the mosquitos that carry the Dengue virus.

The Tramontinas are an excellent value and far superior to the ones made in China, and I would say easily beat some machetes costing two or three times as much. I have one old 22" made in Columbia that I picked up 20 years ago for 5 or 6 bucks... thing is bullet proof. I was shocked to see the increase in price and decrease in quality when shopping around for my boys. I know China can put out good stuff, but the stores ask for cheap and they deliver. If you don't have the cash for high end (which seems kind of silly for a machete) or, like me, you need to buy 8 at a crack, go with the Tramontina for yesteryear's price and yesteryear's quality.

I purchased my first Nebo Transport at a John Deere dealership while waiting on some parts. I loved it and had to have some more for my kids and all my vehicles. Then my nephew saw them, and he wanted some for his kids for stocking stuffers. So I am passing the word around :-) Great product idea! And the light is pretty darn bright for its size!

Ordered 200ft. of paracord and according to the website it should have been a continuous length. It was not. Sucked cause I really needed the one continuous length. But the cord qualitywise was perfect.

They went above and beyond and credited the difference in price cause I had to buy locally for a continuous length. Good people. Good company.

Survival-pax has more colors than anyone I've yet to find and has the best prices. I get 99% of mine here the only time I don't is because it's a color that they don't have and that's not very often. I get all my buckles here too. there is hardware I wish you start stocking.
