I bought my first pair of SurfEars (3.0) ages ago and when I lost them I really missed them. They are such an effective ear plug in all sorts of surf, you can still have a chat and the leash means they’re always attached (unless you leave them in a carpark!). I’ve now got the new model (4.0) and the quality is still great with an improved design of the special membrane. An important part of my surfing kit.

My daughter bought me these for open water swimming. She is a kayaker and had heard good reports about them. My main concern with wearing earplugs was not being able to hear people. Surf ears are fantastic. Extremely comfortable to wear, even under a swim hat. Needs a bit of practice getting them into the right position but once in they really help with keeping water out. I have been using mine at least once a week throughout the winter and they have been great. Unfortunately last week, after getting out of the water, I noticed that the leash had snapped and I had lost one of the plugs. I emailed SurfEars explaining what had happened. Received a reply with 24hrs advising they were sending me a replacement set. Amazing customer service. No quibble at all. Would highly recommend SurfEars

Does not fit, very expensive, the retailer and the manufacturer do not make any effort for a resolution and point to others to solve it.

Great product! Fitts really well in my ear. I can wear them for hours without my ears getting irritated. I use them not only in water and sea but also regularly to soften surrounding noises.

5 star customer service! A specific part of my SurfEars had a little damage when I bought them. After getting in touch with the company they quickly send me a new part to replace the damaged one with. Really happy!

My original Surfears plastic cap had worn down and they were peeling off ( after a year of sea swimming). So I ordered some replacements and they sent me the childrens size, which was really annoying as they took so long to arrive. I have tried emailing them but my emails just bounce back.
Not overly impressed. Will go for another make now.

I ordered Surfears 3.0 as a present for my husband. I received notification on 22/01 that my order is on its way. Great, I thought! The package has not been delivered on and according to NordPost Denmark it is now available for local pick up, yet there is no information where this is exactly. I emailed Surfears 3 times already - once on the e-mail which confirmed the order, and promptly received unable to deliver notification. I then went on their website and found another e-mail. I sent them an e-mail to that address but AGAIN I received a non-delivery notification. I am at a loss what to do and hope this review informs others. But so far, no product and a very underwhelming customer service experience.

My 10 year old son suffers from bad ear infections and he goes to the beach every weekend. Surf Ears has been a game changer and they have never fallen out.

Fit great, easy to use, dont fall out.

I appreciate the multiple silicon gel sizes, as my ear canals appear to be different sizes (who knew?). Also, appreciate the leash. And yes - my ability to hear while wearing them is way better than other brands I've used.

The strap broke on the first surf and it sucks that you can’t buy individual parts. I think Docs pro Plugs is a better product overall.

They fall out. The only reason I didn’t give them a two star is because my ears usually don’t fit any kind of earbud except the ones shaped like apple earbuds but come on y’all need smaller sizes for baby eared people. At least you can hear through them for the 10 minutes they stay in surfing

They're just not water tight, even with a tight fit in the ear canal the water just goes through the mesh. Water still gets in my ear.

Responsive to all emails and requests. Great product and would highly recommend them to any surfer.

They work. But I still need to have my ears drilled out so I can surf in the future. These will prevent surfers war occurring again on this life and maybe the next.

I think the surf ears are good and I’m glad I’ve invested but I need a smaller size still for the ear buds to fit in my ears comfortably.

Freedivier protection
This is perfect for freediver too, i use it in all my immersion and it protect my ears from infection, in particular in swimming pool and close water!

The ear plugs I ordered never arrived. I asked for a refund and they gave one, but no explanation. Seems like distribution network for some very expensive earplugs is messed up and no one is in charge. Would not buy again

Keeps water out. Can still hear sound of ocean and fellow surfers. Comfortable. Haven't fallen out due to wipe out!
