I am a tutor and I utilize the free account. I have gotten maybe 6 requests from students with this free option. In general I get mostly requests from students who want to pay me for a beauty lesson such as “train me to do better blowouts” or “ teach me how to do make up,” even though I state in my profile that I tutor students who need help passing their state board exams. I have gotten one or two Students requesting a tutor for help passing state board exams but that’s it. It would be great if I got more requests. I do like that you can pretty much Create your own way to facilitate the tutoring such as FaceTime or Microsoft Teams to create meetings. You can also create your own preferred payment method so they do not interfere with that.

Superprof has historically proven to be a highly efficient platform for connecting students and teachers. This has long been my experience, and my goal is for this feedback to constructively benefit both the platform and the educational community that relies on it.
To provide clear context to my initial review, I can share if necessary the screenshots of nearly 110 student connections I have received through Superprof since 2021. Over this period, between 70 and 80 of the leads provided by the platform successfully transitioned into active students. (I am happy to provide verified screenshots of my lesson folders to confirm these learning relationships if useful).
My student distribution breaks down as follows:
Current Yiddish Students: 10
Current Hebrew Students: 4
Past Yiddish Students: 25
Past Hebrew Students: 40
Several of my current students have been studying with me consistently for two to three years.
What this data clearly demonstrates is that for nearly five years, I maintained a steady, reliable stream of inquiries averaging roughly 20 potential students per year. This consistent flow dropped significantly since late 2025, which is what prompted me to highlight the sudden lack of visibility.
I must mention that 3 days ago I received a new student proposal through the platform whom I am interviewing this coming Thursday, May 28th. This proves that the demand is active when the platform functions properly.
I sincerely hope Superprof utilizes this historical data to optimize its advertising and SEO strategies for specialized languages. Convey my thanks to the Superprof team for paying attention to this matter.

I found a piano teacher who resided close to my residence to come and tutor my son. I was very specific on the age of my son and the request for an in home, person to person lesson. The teacher’s profile clearly stated he traveled within 30 miles and did not mention age ranges. He accepted my request. However, when it came time for the lesson, I was scheduled for an online meeting with a female rep from Superprof. She informed me that my teacher, Henry, did not feel comfortable teaching a teenager so he asked someone else to do it. This lesson was online only. She stated he did not exactly decline the meeting-you see how manipulative that wording is, because you do not pay if they decline-and she asked if we could meet with the other instructor. We agreed. The lesson was pointless. Afterwards she got back online with us and proceeded to attempt to convince us to pay for more online sessions. This is a scam. I find it degrading to treat us like we are idiots. The site utilizes AI chat not to respond to everything. Even after when I wrote an email with my complaint, a chat not responded to it. They do not even take the time to hav3 a human being speak with you about how terrible your experience was with their service.

SuperProf is great for connecting tutors/coaches with students. The platform is useable, clear, simple enough to be readable but with complex enough functionality to be unique. The videoconferencing software can be a bit buggy sometimes, and occasionally I have noticed some bugs with scheduling, but besides that it's an awesome platform.

Superprof is best ever tutor plateform that I used. It's best then Preply.
Preply extra restrictions are mess.
I love Superprof.

I didn’t use the subscription for an entire month because I genuinely didn’t realize it was set to auto-renew. When I reached out to request a refund, I received a rude response basically saying “too bad, it’s our policy.” I understand policies exist, but considering I didn’t even use the service, I would think exceptions could be made in situations like this.
