Sketchy, Suspicious, and Almost Got Me—Avoid at All Costs
I ordered a part from this company, and immediately got red flags. Within hours, I received an email asking for a photo of the credit card I used—even though they told me to "cover most of the numbers." That’s still shady and totally inappropriate. I e-mailed them back and let them know that I felt very uncomfortable doing that. Then they asked for a photo of my ID to verify the order.
They did all this after already taking the money out of my checking account.
Excuse me? This isn’t TSA. That’s a huge security risk and completely out of line for an online retailer.
I refused to send either and requested a refund. Thankfully, after pushing back, I eventually received my money back. But the whole experience screamed scammy behavior. If I hadn’t trusted my gut, I probably would’ve been out my money and had my identity stolen.
This company operates like a phishing scheme dressed up as an auto parts store. Buyers beware.
There are legitimate car part websites out there—this isn’t one of them.
