Fantastic 3-Week Stay – Highly Recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My wife and I just finished a wonderful three-week stay (6. - 27. of march) at Sunny Days El Palacio Resort & Spa (Room 2058).
We were initially hesitant due to mixed reviews online, but those concerns were completely groundless. The new management and staff delivered 100% on every level.
Highlights of our stay:
* Birthday Surprise: My wife celebrated her birthday on March 23rd. The receptionists had noted this and surprised her with a delicious cake delivered to our room. A wonderful touch!
* Exceptional Service: From the receptionists and bartenders to the chefs and restaurant servers, everyone was incredibly attentive.
* Housekeeping: Our room was kept spotless by our eminent cleaner who did a fantastic job throughout our stay.
* The Beach & Pool Team: A massive thank you to the lifeguards and towel staff who looked after us daily, setting up our sunbeds and ensuring we were comfortable.
Special thanks to:
* Housekeeping: Our eminent cleaner, Sayed.
* Lifeguards: Amier, Mohamed, Ahmed, Abdulrahman Ahmed, Fawsi, and many more.
* Beach & Towel Service: Fahd (drinks) and Sayed (fresh towels).
After 21 days here, we can confidently say this hotel is excellent. We urge others to ignore the negative reviews and give this place a chance.
Take care of each other and continue with the incredibly positive attitude you have all shown us.
We hope to see you all again!!!
This was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and the worst family holiday we’ve ever had. The hotel claims to be 4 stars, but in reality, it doesn’t meet even the most basic standards of hygiene, service, or hospitality.
Cleanliness: Our room was filthy upon check-in (after 3 hours of arguments at reception). There was sand, hair on the floor, and dirty sheets. The pools were overcrowded and poorly maintained—the water looked disgusting.
Food: The food was appalling. At one dinner, I personally witnessed meat that had fallen on the floor being cut up and served to guests. We even found an elastic band in the food. On several days, the only thing safe to eat was fries. Hygiene and presentation were absolutely unacceptable.
Staff & Service: The staff were generally rude and dismissive towards non-Muslim guests, while showing preferential treatment to others. The only time they seemed willing to assist was when money was handed over.
Facilities: Overcrowded pools, poor service, and a general lack of proper management made every day a struggle.
The only positive aspect was the beautiful Red Sea—completely unrelated to the hotel itself.
This resort should not be allowed to operate as a 4-star property. In fact, based on hygiene and safety concerns alone, it should be shut down. We paid for a 10-day family holiday and instead endured constant disappointment and mistreatment.
Avoid this hotel at all costs.
