An item was left aboard an aircraft

An item was left aboard an aircraft. Item left onboard form completed online. Item matched, had to go to headquarters to pick up instead of airport. When picking up items discovered items were missing. Staff was unhelpful and did not care that items were missing. It’s obvious that since the bag was returned the items were taken when in custody of Sun Country. Unable to reach a person to discuss with, constantly told to call number and then just end up with guidance to fill out online form. Extremely disappointed in the lack of care to investigate how items went missing. There needs to be better control of items left on board to ensure customer items are not stolen. It’s fact of life that items are left onboard given the online form and number of items I saw on the multiple trips to airport. I hope whoever stole our items is brought to justice.

Next time I will fly Southwest

Next time I will fly Southwest. Not only was my flight late, both outgoing and incoming. They broke my suitcase and it looks really intentional. The policy is 4 hours to report. Since my flight was delayed which made for about a 12 hour travel day I was a zombie when I picked up my bag from baggage claim so didn’t notice the bottom had been cracked like someone literally threw it with force onto the wheel and corner that had been damaged. Bag had only been used for 3 previous trips and made it fine til this one. Hard plastic Swiss Gear bag, not cheaply made and also not cheap in general. I have a picture but no place to post it. YOU HAVE 4 HOURS TO REPORT DAMAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. They were extremely understaffed and seemed to not care that they were inconveniencing everyone also. Pretty bad experience all around.

Cancelled flight

Cancelled my flight out of Boston on Saturday 12/28/24. Next available flight they offered was two days later on Monday 12/30/24. Offered no assistance with re-booking otherwise. Had to book on another airline at 3 times the cost. Awful airline and terrible customer service.

I charged of $410.99

I charged of $410.99, and I did not receive any service for the rental car.

To provide some context, my wallet was stolen during a connecting flight at the Minnesota airport, which contained my ID, debit card, and credit card. As a result, I was unable to proceed with the car rental, as they could not provide me with a vehicle without my ID and credit card. Additionally, I was unable to continue my travels without my ID. I asked the TSA if there was any way to pass through security, and after about an hour of questioning, I was allowed through.

Sun Country Airlines is aware of the situation, but unfortunately, they have not been willing to assist me. I was instructed to call them once I arrived home to see what could be done. Since then, I have made approximately 12 to 13 calls, including requests to speak with managers. They have all the necessary documents and recorded conversations.

I am writing a letter to request a refund, as I did not receive any service for the $410.99 charge. his amount is significant. Unfortunately, Sun Country Airlines has been unwilling to cooperate or provide any confirmation letters regarding my situation. I hope this can help other people.

Absolutely fine

Absolutely fine. A few minutes late but nothing to worry about. No worse than any other airline and much lower fare.

The worst

The worst. I paid 100 dollars for my son's carry on baggage for both ways. But, my son got a bigger baggage to the airport. So, instead of just swapping the amount(it was the same), they charged extra for the checked in baggage. I am on the phone for close to 2 hours to get my money back (first time call got disconnected after holding an hour). Now been holding for 45 minutes...no answer yet.

Canceled out flight via text message 9…

Canceled out flight via text message 9 hours before the flight was set to leave.... cost us a full day and $365 out of pocket expenses. When we asked to be reimbursed, here was their reply:

Thank you for contacting Sun Country regarding your recent travel interruption. Service is something we take seriously, and it is disappointing anytime our passengers experience a disruption to their travel plans.

Regrettably, Sun Country was forced to cancel your 7/11/2024 flight SY391 between Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (MSP) and San Francisco, CA (SFO). We know that interruptions to travel plans are unwelcome, and we make every effort to complete every flight as scheduled. However, we were able to rebook you on SY397.

Unfortunately, we do not provide any additional reimbursement for a canceled/delayed flight, including parking fees, rental cars, preplanned hotels, Uber, tickets purchased on other carriers, and other expenses.

We appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your perspective regarding this experience and sincerely apologize for the interruption to your travel plans.

Kind Regards,

Canceled our flight at 3 am by email.

Canceled our flight at 3 am by email.
I don't check email on my phone. Gave us 13 minutes to respond. Flight was then canceled. Sat on hold 2 hours trying to get another flight. Got to destination one day late on a "guaranteed" flight. Return flight check in was flight full. Contacted funjet who got us on a flight. What a terrible notification and customer service airline. Never again.

Sun Country you are the worst ever

Sun Country you are the worst ever. Now I'm believing the historical data that has all be said about you. Your delays has caused me to miss my overseas flight to the Philippines and has cost me another 1k just to rebook another flight since I'm currently stuck in LAX. I will never fly Sun Country ever again and I'll make sure no body around me does as well.

No refunds - even if Sun Country changes the flight

I booked a round-trip flight on Sun Country for my husband and I. It's was our first time booking with Sun Country and I thought maybe I had found an airline we could use regularly - especially to visit my relatives in Minneapolis.

A week after booking the trip, Sun Country changed the time of the flight from early morning to mid-afternoon. It would have gotten us home too late to be able to drive home (we live almost 2 hours from the airport in Orlando). There was a link to change the flight time. The only problem it appears there is only 1 flight per day and there was nothing that made sense. I decided to cancel the flight and get a refund.

Well, they don't give a refund unless you request it within 24 hours of booking the flight. Since they didn't change the time of the flight until a week later (and I attempted to cancel the flight within 3 hours of receiving that notification), I could only get a voucher for a future flight.

Now I'm sitting on the line waiting for Sun Country's "customer service". It's been an hour and five minutes, so far, and I'm still waiting.

Unreliable and bad customer service

My flight was delayed 7 hours. There was no weather issues so the delay was very unexpected. When I called, they said they didn’t know what caused the delay. They also said they are not giving any compensation for the delay. I wrote them again because my return flight was also delayed. I explained how I lost a full day out of my short trip and the delay caused me to lose money on reservations. They said they don’t have to compensate because it was a weather delay, but they never explained what weather. There was none. They showed zero concern for the long delay and provided terrible custumer service. We all understand we can’t help when weather happens, but I can’t understand why they’d lie about a weather event and not own up to their issues. I will not be flying them again if they are both unreliable and provide terrible customer service.

do not fly Sun Country out of Minneapolis

IF Sun Country had enough ticketing agents staffing the counter and IF the kiosk had worked we would have made our flight. Had to wait eight hours for next flight thereby missing a day of our Florida vacation. Very poor customer service. Sun Country at the Ft Myers airport is completely different. Staff there very helpful and friendly -- maybe because they are Swissport employees and not SunCountry.

We tried to book a flight through the…

We tried to book a flight through the Sun Country Airlines website. Halfway through the transaction a pop states "we (Sun Country Airlines) are unable to complete the transaction at this time". Two weeks later we tried again and were successful in booking our flight. Upon completing the booking transaction of the flight on our second attempt, we received and email telling us the conformation number and other various information relative to the successful booking. When we paid our credit card bill at the beginning of the month, low and behold Sun Country Airlines had completed the initial transaction but unfortunately there was NO email sent to us with a conformation number or other relevant information for the booking. We called Sun Country Airlines and they said we did not cancel our initial conformation within 24 hours so the charge was valid. When I stated they never sent us any conformation regarding the booking that would have allowed us to cancel, they stated it was not their issue and we are charged accordingly with nothing we can do to get our money back. When we contacted the credit card company, the card representative said, "This is a common problem with Sun Country.". Never ever use Sun Country Airlines website to book a flight, they seem to have a tendency to rip off the customer ever so conveniently! Should have gone with Delta as usual, Delta is a much more ethical and honest company to book a flight through while Sun Country Airlines doesn't seem to care if their customers are getting the "raw end of the deal" or not. Shame on Sun Country Airlines for being dishonest.

The WORST - will NOT fly with them again

I decided to give Sun Country a chance as an airline when visiting a friend with my daughter, however I was sorely let down by the whole experience.

Our initial flight had a one hour delay before even taking off. This delay then forced us to miss our connecting flight, also by Sun Country. When I asked for help with getting to our destination due to this missed flight, which was their fault, 6 months pregnant and with a 9-yr-old in tow, they said the best they could do was book me a flight in 24hrs and we could sleep in the airport. Seeing as my trip was a 3 day visit and I was in a city for a layover where we knew nobody, this did not seem like a reasonable choice. When I asked for a refund of my original flight they would not even give me that, saying they were not liable for any delays.

I then proceeded to book with another airline to get to my final destination, but when I arrived, my luggage from my original Sun Country flight was NOT at my destination. They then called me about my lost luggage a week later after I had already returned home, after me having to make due without my daughter's car seat while in our destination city.

When I called them to discuss this horrible experience, I was on hold for >30mins and when I requested a call back I never received one. Finally when they called about my luggage I was able to talk to someone in customer service, yet no apologies, refunds, or compensation of any kind were offered.

THUS I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER FLYING WITH THEM AND I WILL CERTAINLY NEVER FLY WITH THEM AGAIN.

We flew this airline for the first time…

We flew this airline for the first time out of Tulsa for Caesars Rewards. I was very skeptical as I get flight anxiety especially with airlines I am unfamiliar with.

We had a flawless experience with this airline. They are extremely laid back, very friendly and made our travel to Lake Tahoe seamless.
We had zero issues.

The plane we flew on was a three seater on both sides of the plane so I could see how someone would feel a little cramped. However we had exit seats which were perfect. The plane also had charging ports and its own airfi for $3 (if I remember correctly) which gave you access to their movies / shows. They had complimentary snack bags with miscellaneous items in it and came by several times for beverages! I would compare this airline to Allegiant. We will definitely be flying Sun country again!

No itinerary will be emailed after purchasing the ticket

What I want to tell Suncountry airlines is: "Do you know? After purchasing a ticket from your airline, you never send an email to our email address. We have no idea about the purchase status of the ticket. There is no online customer service on your airline’s official website. We can only call to verify your ticket purchase at the time you specify. It’s really troublesome, especially the travel expenses need to be reimbursed. There were no emails or electronic itineraries at that time, so it was really troublesome."

No staff at check in.

Got to the airline and no one was working at the ticket counter. I asked someone working for a different airline and they said they probably won’t show up till an hour before my flight. I called customer service and they said to stand at the counter and wait. They said we could change our bag to an overhead for a fee and would not waive the fee. They said if we went through ti the gate they would just send us back or charge an even larger fee. Rude staff and absolutely ridiculous experience.

Reccently booked a package flight/hotel…

Reccently booked a package flight/hotel to Las Vegas at a price that I thought was all inclusive only to find I had to pay a $45 per night resort fee. Now this may be my fault, but I noticed no mention of this during booking process. Warning, you will be paying additional resort fees on Vegas packages... In summary,I could have just bought flight separate and got a better room rate than package offered, when all was said and done..Other than that flights were smooth,on time ,and flight personnel very friendly.
