made of Styrofoam

I had the board for a year and a half. Everything that broke in the first year was my deemed to be by fault by the engineers at the company. I managed to rip off a wire, snap a kingpin, go through 3 remotes!!! And finally a wire came out from the board itself. The board has been broken, waiting for parts to repair it more than it's been working waiting for a ride.
I haven't gone through one set of edge wheels and now they say they don't make the part I need anymore, so it's not going to work again.
I hate this company, the boards fun when it works, it just never works

Worst Customer Service imaginable, regularly malfunctions and requires repair

Battery fried itself twice within warranty, each time taking months to be returned. Third time they claimed a fault with their V1 motherboards that required me to pay an additional $300 to upgrade to V2 because it was out of warranty. I have had this board in between maintenance for TWICE AS LONG as I’ve owned it, and that has now cost me warranty. Customer Service has been absolutely appalling, takes 2+ weeks to get an email response each time with no option to speak with someone over the phone.

Product is amazing when it works, which is why I’ve been willing to take myself through seven circles of hell to get this resolved, but honestly cannot recommend putting yourself through this. Was not surprised reading through the other 1-star reviews that people have had such a shocking time dealing with customer service, what a joke.

this board is 100% amazing

this board is 100% amazing. The drift sensations really makes it feel like my Burton custom shredding the mountain. I’ve been saving up for this board for so long and happy I finally got it this Christmas

They are selling skateboards without…

They are selling skateboards without parts and they don't tell you. When you call in or email, they may tell you that they have parts that are missing, they are short staffed and it will be awhile. Then when you cancel they all of a sudden have your board being built and they ship it. When it arrives you open the box to find it missing parts and a letter telling you that it's missing parts. When you try to return it they want to rip you off with a restocking fee because the box was opened. How the heck would I know it's missing parts unless I opened the box?? What the heck kind of scam is this?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!

I’m 38 with 3 kids and this board has…

I’m 38 with 3 kids and this board has been a game changer for me. It is just so fun to ride every time I hop on I feel like I’m riding the slopes with my buddies again. So rare to find something that gets me this pumped to get outside and just enjoy myself!

Terrible customer support CEO had to step in

Update: The CEO stepped in and apologized/made things right. Felt like he went above and beyond. Sticking with the initial terrible customer service comment but at least he reached out to rectify the situation as best he could. Didn’t get the board for a few weeks but he sent some courtesy bonuses which was thoughtful.

Terrible customer support. Still waiting on the board and every time I reach out to support they just say the same exact thing. They’ll reach out to production and get back to me with an update and then nothing. Even if you reply immediately it’ll be a few days before they respond. Said it would be out this week, nope, and they aren’t responding. There’s no phone number or other way to reach them. I can’t even cancel because I can’t get a hold of anyone.

Their website says “Now shipping in 1-2 days after order!” as well as free shipping. It’s been weeks and I even got charged for the shipping.

I’ve thought about buying one for so long and I finally decided to and I’m met with this disappointment.

Cheap materials that break easily and their "warranty" is a lie

Took me a while to learn to ride, once I was able to stay on the board for the majority of the time, 4 out of the 5 times I rode it ended with something breaking, (remote (it's my 3rd one because they are useless), a motor, (the wires got twisted up because of all the 360 rotation), a kingpin, (wasn't even jumping or hit anything, just turning a corner and the aluminum broke), and a timing belt.

Each time the help desk are useless, slow and require you to film yourself with one phone while using and old phone to download their out of date app to be able to see your remote battery% and they do nothing to help after all that but tell you how much new parts and the $40 postage. I've probably spent more on parts than the board after 1 year and maybe 20 hours of riding.

It's a lot of fun when it works. It just doesn't work, too cheap materials, I actually consider this board not safe for use and am going to sell it and go back to an electric longboard.

Summer board customer support is great!

The customer support for them is nearly the best I have ever even contacted. They reply within a day. I bought the summer board as well as a helmet from them and they both are incredible quality. I give em 5 stars cause this is rare!

Summerboard has done an excellent job…

Summerboard has done an excellent job of customer service and have been working to improve the experience. They are the right path. The SBX has taken me from beginner to level 5 intermediate in a year or 2 seasons. I’m an instructor designated level 5 at Crested Butte and after my last visit, I should be a level 6. Thank you Summerboard. Stay Stoked.

The coaching staff helped me so much…

The coaching staff helped me so much after a challenging first day on the board. I should’ve read the manual lol and did the training videos. The coach was super helpful and patient, and the board felt like an extension of me on about day 6. so great to be able to ride in the offseason especially now that spring is here

Great product with great support

The summerboard is fun and the opportunity to rent a summerboard before buying was a great option to have.
The summerboard support team is easy to email with and available during the week.
The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is due to some malfunctions that the rental board had.
Otherwise, great company to deal with.

Customer support was very helpful

Customer support was very helpful throughout the process when I had an issue with the motherboard, and Summerboard provided a shipping label for free shipping to send the motherboard in for repair/replacement. Within a few days I received the motherboard and was able to install, and all issues were fixed. The support team was helpful, and had great communication.

So happy I decided to get it

I captured my interest as soon as I saw a few videos of the Summerboard in my YouTube feed. I've devoured all available online content about it and even had a conversation with the company CEO, who answered many of my questions. After following through all the training videos and a bit of practice, it all clicked, and the marketing talk of "feels like snowboarding, but on the pavement" was true. I'm also finally dedicating time to riding switch and looking forward to seeing how these skills will transfer to actual snowboard riding. Very happy with my purchase!
