My daughter found an apartment on here in Melbourne Australia. Had contact with landlord and a rental agency called Geelong Property People. She paid them £1800 which they had a problem receiving and said they had refunded but the refund never came through and her moving in date passed. They have a chat function on their site geelongpropertypeople net
There is a real company called this but it trades as Geelong Property Management. I have just contacted them and they have sadly confirmed that it is a scam. They have reported the misuse of their company name. This was second instance where sublet.com were involved. I would avoid at all costs!

This site is a con- do not use it. After paying for an account, you will find that there is no way to contact the landlords. When you click on an apartment, you will be redirected to an external site. These new sites ask for yet more money in order to contact the landlords.

SCAM, do not pay for anything. I inquired 2 apartments but not response, also they include links to 3rd party which makes no sense since free anyway.

I wanted so badly for this site to be legitimate. But after writing to the owner for an apartment for rent 4x, with not only no response but no way to check to see if the message was even sent, I now see that the site is a SCAM. Even their "chat" was a scam. They refused to type to me why I was not able to see if my message was sent, instead insisting that i give my telephone number so we can "discuss it". What is there to discuss that cannot be simply written? And why when i click on "sent mails" i always get "An unexpected error has occurred", followed by an advertisement of "Dating voor singles 50+"??? Not nice to take my money for membership, then do this to me. At least I didnt pre-pay for a "rental" only to then find out that this is a scam? Pfff Not nice.

I am quite appreciative knowing how thorough and diligent their staff strives to eradicate fraud and unscrupulous individuals who use their services. This is the main reason why I have been loyal for so many years, because I can count on you doing a fantastic job in getting my trust and business. Please keep up the good work.
