Lacks heart rate monitor support

The overall build quality is good with the exception of the handlebars. They flex slightly and that is most noticeable with the screen moving horizontally.
The most disappointing thing is the lack of support for a heart rate monitor. In my opinion that is a major design deficiency. Is this not primarily a cardio workout machine? They claim to be working on adding heart rate monitor support, but I have found other reviews that are a year old that indicated they were working on adding it. Apparently they are not working too hard on it. If on screen heart rate is important to you, I would suggest you look at other alternatives

Solid 3 Stars

Setting up the bike was easy. Setting up the tablet was not very intuitive. For example, I was sent set up links to my email to help me configure the tablet. But to use the link, I would need the tablet configured to receive emails. BUT the tablet wasn’t configured. That is what I needed help with. (FYI simply typing in the address of the link didn’t work for me ether)

Frustrating, and I would have returned the bike at that point, if the “return policy” hadn’t included a $200 price tag. That forced me to keep working to get the tablet set up.

Now that the tablet is set up, it is working smoothly. No issues.

But I wouldn’t recommend the bike to a friend looking for an “out of the box” simple experience. I would just recommend spending a little more, avoiding the frustration and getting a Peleton.

Do not buy this bike!

Do not buy this bike!! Mine worked for about six months before the pedals became very squeaky. I've paid nearly the price of the bike to get it fixed, and it's still happening. Stryde says there's nothing they can do besides continue to offer repairs, but the company who manages the repairs, Spirit, says there's nothing more they can do. Also a crank shaft fell off while I was riding, and I could have been injured. Lastly they outsource to a third party for repairs, and the people who are sent do not know how to fix these bikes.

Not recommended

I have to agree with the other review on quality and customer service issues. I do not recommend it. I bought my bike in March. 2 weeks of use and had the same clicking/knocking noise. Mine is still unresolved. They wont refund or replace. Keep saying the6 need the bike back in original packaging and will charge $250 restocking fees.

I love this bike!

I love this bike!
I was considering going with Stryde or Peloton, but ultimately picked Stryde because the tablet is unlocked (so I can use the Stryde app or sometimes just ride to my spotify playlist) and I liked the choreography-based classes more, it's more fun to ride to the music and I focus less on the effort. Great bike, great workout, would definitely recommend.

Good Support but Bike Product Issue

I ordered the bike, took two weeks to deliver. Their email support is very quick and friendly, but would be nice to still be able to call someone. Bike delivered in a huge box and took about an hour to setup -- was a pain in the ass to setup (very tight spaces and very cumbersome, you can clearly tell that this is not designed for the casual at-home user setup... ). Once it was setup, it looked professional and polished, has a nice black color. The tablet looks great and has speakers built-in, Bluetooth, and you can download apps using the internet browser (unlocked tablet)... problems with it though included occasional freezes & the Bluetooth occasionally disconnected. The Stryde app itself is nice and has some basic features, but has issues with video playback (some issues included: frozen screen that required reboot, glitch that would make playback go from mid-video to beginning, and payment info/subscription didn't show on web app). However... within 24 hours of delivery, the bike started making a pretty loud clicking noise during use. Their founder actually lives near me so he came to check out the problem; Super nice guy but said the issue was the flywheel's ball-bearing and blamed it on their delivery company... said that a technician would come and fix the bike. My luck is that I live in a major new England city, and the founder lives nearby -- I cannot imagine the headache I would've had living in a rural or even suburban area. Didn't want to deal with the repair and the other issues so I returned it. Restocking fee for the return was $300 since I didn't have the original box/packaging that came with it. Will be looking at either the Peloton or the Soulcycle Variis bike.

I do not recommend this bike, just save yourself the time and stick with one of the larger companies until they can get their early-company product issues figured out.
