Incredible. They cancelled my contract without any notification period. Got an email notifying me that my contract had been terminated a week earlier! Allegedly due to the currently high energy price.
Seems that stromio stops delivering electricity to it's customers.
I was not contacted by stromio themselves but by rheinenergie stating that they will take over. Noticing me was not even worth a letter to stromio...
After my hausmeister made a mistake reading out the electricity meter I was contacted by Stromio for the correct meter number. All ok until this point. I then provided the correct number with photographic evidence so they could change this. One month later and on the day the christmas holidays start I am emailed that my contract has been cancelled. So despite getting the right meter and trying to correct the problem they just gave up and nullified the contract. Don't be fooled by the ratings on Check24 and get a proper energy company to look after your electricity.
I noticed that my electricity bills had gotten significantly higher in the last year. This is because Stromio raised the rates — but only for existing customers. In other words, Stromio screws existing customers! The opposite of loyalty.
The letter they sent justified the price increase with vague ideas about the increasing price of renewables but this was a disingenuous attempt at green-washing. I know this because their homepage cites prices that are more than 20% cheaper per kilowatt hour than what they raised my prices too (as soon as I was locked into a contract that was difficult to get out of).
Other companies would never do this to their customers. Never ever buy Stromio.
Did not make good experience. No good service. No good price!
