Terrible service support!!!

Sony itself needs to truly help their customers!!! I will never buy Sony again and not EVER recommend you guys!!! I've had my 70" tv for 1 yr and 3 months! That's it! And now it conveniently breaks!! We paid almost 2k for this poorly made TV!
This is day two of a black TV, the ON button just flashes red when trying to start the TV. Also this happened Sunday night I started a chat with you guys but it ended up working before I got a response from u guys. And I've been trying to do a factory reset since yesterday it is not working the screen remains black!! And I don't have a service provider in my network now I have to ontop of our very busy schedule working multiple jobs not living off the government and raising two children have to find a random person through the damn yellow pages to fix your guys problem!!!!! What terrible customer service you guys have set in place!!!! Get a new CEO!!!

DO NOT BUY: sound vs build quality is not worth your money!

I purchased the Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones in March 2019. I treated them with kid gloves, always storing them in their hard case when not in use.

In January 2020, I noticed that the left-hand slider was loose, and the ear cup would slide down as soon as I would try to fold them up. On close inspection, I saw that the sliders on both sides are cracked. When I then went online, I read about the issue, which seems to be very common for these headphones.

The defect is not due to normal wear and tear. I bought these premium headphones expecting a very solid build which seemed to be the case at the time (I tried them out/inspected them in several stores before getting them online). For them to develop this issue after less than a year of careful and moderate use (primarily on my daily commute) is unacceptable at this price point.

Sony disagrees. After I sent them the headphones for inspection, they wrote back to say that the defect is due to ‘physical damage’ and invoiced me £96.71 for replacement parts and labour costs. I decided not to repair them as there is no guarantee that they will not break again in the very near future. I still had to pay a £30 refusal fee.

Altogether, these headphones have turned into a money pit. In my view, despite the decent sound quality and the good noise cancellation, they are a waste of money given the alternatives currently on the market.

So, bottom line for me is, I will not buy anything Sony again. I have paid the price for it once and it is enough for me.

Unbelievable poor service

Unbelievable poor service . You wait on the line for over an hour !!! They cannot resolve any thing . Always state that they will have to call you back but they don’t . No follow up . If your TV breaks when out of warranty it’s your problem . No ownership of the issue from Sony . Just don’t buy any Sony product . Call centre destroys the brand image of Sony . Not customer centric . Need to employ problem solvers

I bought the sony wh-1000xm3

I bought the sony wh-1000xm3, and after three months, it wouldn't power on. I did everything in their guide, step by step, tried different usb cables to try to reset it, but all to no avail. Sony used every marketing term available to opt out of respecting their warranty. I consider myself lucky that after two weeks, the device started working on its own. Read reviews online, I'm not the only one complaining about this.

Unhelpful and Uncaring

After having a known and common technical problem with a Sony Xperia phone, we contacted them per manufacturer warranty instructions. Once on the line we were told we would have to do a complete factory reset before we would be allowed to take our phone in for services. Not only did this make the issues on the phone worse (we can no longer use the device now as it is in a looped reset mode) but we were told after the reset that the manufacturer warranty did not cover our phone at all. So not only did the Sony technician make it worse, we were left high and dry after following his "required" steps to service the phone. Absolutely terrible service.

Very poor solution to a small problem

I purchased the portable speaker SRS-XB22 recently. The speaker seems to be a good product so far, only had it 2 weeks. The issue is, although the box did not show any signs that it had been opened and it was sealed with tape, there was no charging cable included in the box, it comes with the USB cable. It is a small purchase, 6 or 8 dollars, it is the principle. I "chatted" with a Sony rep, his answer, go back to the store where you bought it! Problem - I bought the speaker in CA and live in AZ. My rating is for the fact that Sony could have cared less about my small problem, I just think they could have provided better service.

Bought a faulty TV

Bought a faulty TV, that we haven’t been able to use and it has been away for repair twice already and issues hasn’t been fixed. Sony customer service in Ireland is absolutely terrible, would not even reply to e-mails and I have been waiting for Supervisor to call me back over 2 weeks now. Would not reccomend to anyone, absolutely useless and the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Awful People/Awful Products

I have invested in three Sony products bought from Curry's since May and every single one has been faulty. Firstly a sound bar that just stopped working, then a PS4 that you couldn't play blu-rays on and now I'm stuck with a Bravia TV that has two faulty HDMI sockets. All I got from customer services was that I needed to bring the TV to some kind of service store in London. Despite me telling them that I don't drive and I'll have to take a 40in TV on public transport or in a cab. They also insisted that I was outside of my warranty even though I bought it this year in May. There were no apologies, no goodwill gestures, no offer to pick the TV up themselves despite this being the third time somethings gone wrong with one of their shoddy products, just the implication that this was my fault when the only mistake I've made is buying Sony products from Curry's. I'm really not exaggerating when I say that this has to be one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. I've never known anything like it. Then again I usually don't try things from Curry's and I certainly won't again. Absolutely disgraceful.

Never ever deal with Sony Products

Never ever deal with Sony Products. Their service center is pathetically painful n extremely bad to deal. I am following up with them from last 3 months for my Sony 65" led TV for repair....they are completely irresponsible and never take your complain seriously. Inspite of taking 2000/- advance from me for the part, there is no response after so many follow up even till now. Samsung n LG are thousands time better n quick in service. The company they have assigned for my work is equally bad.

Read the entire review!!!! Disappointed with Sony

To be honest though, I was a Sony fanboy, I loved all the products of theirs but customer service really disappointed me and made me stop buying Sony products, first of all the service centre I went to was in Bangalore and it was the main service of Bangalore. The issue I had with my phone was the back panel coming out with a matter of time. So I gave it to service centre two times for fixing it and they did fix it but the back panel never gave up and it was coming out again. I didn't feel like giving it to them again, so I gave it to my friend who was an expert in this and so he rectified the problem, the main problem was that the battery was swollen and needed to be replaced, and he did replace and now my phone working beautifully. Just wanted to say that being a main company for the whole city doesn't mean that you should be irresponsible or don't know things. Crap, the technician of the service centre even told that I shouldn't use the camera of my phone since it will overheat the back panel and make it swell out again!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the end just don't buy Sony products as something's wrong with it, then the service centre won't be able to get it ready. Just buy other products.

Avoid like the plague

Unfortunately it is not an option to put 0 stars. After several years with Samsung, I made the horrible mistake of buying a Sony Xperia XZ1, worst mistake in a while. To the phone itself I would be willing to put 1 star, the 30 days that it worked it was ok-ish, nice camera, good speakers, and very good battery life. However, it died without warning. Then, the worse came. I contacted their "customer service", and after almost a month, I first got a few responses from a bot telling me that I should pay for the shipment of the phone (because I am abroad), and when I asked to be directed to a supervisor, after a couple of emails I was subsequently ignored. Then I wrote again, and they have just completely ignored me. So, a phone that lasted 30 days is still much better than their customer service. Please avoid like the plague

Never buy mobile projector from Sony

Never buy mobile projector from Sony. Mine one suddenly stops working, I brought to Sony Center and the Sony store manager (Sony Somerset Singapore) Lee Tuck Hong told me that their product is "non-repairable".
