We purchased a TV online. When we plugged it in it was cracked on the inside, the outer screen is perfect, not a scratch or anything on it. We did not damage the TV and I think it was a packaging or delivery issue. Sony were quite rude and blamed me saying it is "consistent of being a physical damage in nature"
After reading so many reviews the same it is clear Sony is selling cheap faulty garbage. So please do not waste your money.

Our $2,500 TV was delivered with a broken screen that could not be seen until we completely unpacked the box and removed the cardboard sheet covering the screen. After 2 weeks of chasing them up and after initially being told they would replace it have now said they will not. Their reason being that the damage to the screen was not consistent with the condition of the box. After being a loyal Sony customer for over 20 years, this horrible customer service experience has ensured I will never buy another Sony product again. Beware!
A nostalgic brand I would say
A nostalgic brand I would say. I used to love their walkmans and headphones. I think back when I was a teen I also had one of their cellphones with a walkman feature too. It was brilliant technology back then. They are still making great devices. Overall, a solid brand.
I purchased my first Sony TV
I purchased my first Sony TV. Bravia 65 Inch. Didn't last 6 months. Warranty service has been playing me for 3 weeks and counting. Every 3 days I send pictures, then 3 days later another response from Sony asking for the same ones. The number given to call is not Sony but a call center with no answers or abilities to give a contact to actually communicate with Sony. After 3 weeks I tell the call center I have proof Sony received the pictures, and within 2min the agent confirms it. Going on week 4 now with the call center telling me that I'm going to be contacted by Sony, and surprise. Nothing. I've seeing horrible reviews about Sony Bravia 65inch tvs. Will never purchase another Sony TV again, and will be sure to let all friends and family know about this ongoing experience with Sony Warranty service.

SONY a1 DISASTER.
Over the past year I have been asked approximately 15-20 times of my opinion on the Sony mirrorless. Unfortunately, I have provided my candid response to each potential new Sony purchaser.... "Switching from Canon to Sony is the biggest mistake of my photography career." Hopefully, if Sony eventually replaces my faulty a1 I can have some faith restored in their products.
Purchased a Sony a1 in Canada thru a Sony authorized dealer approximately 18 months ago. Within the 1yr warranty period the camera kept failing... usually at the most critical times. Complete blackout and not functioning at all were the common errors. Other times, f00 appeared indicating no lens attached. This continues repeatedly even after two visit to, Gentec International, the only Sony warranty service company in Ontario Canada.
They were unable to duplicate or rectify the issues, Problems continued and due to my ongoing photography schedule of up to 3 events per week, I purchased a second Sony a1, as I am unfortunately heavily invested in the new and latest Sony lenses. I have reached out to Sony but no response.
I will continue to post this and similar reviews wherever possible until my now out of warranty Sony a1 camera is switched for one that is new and reliable.

I bought a Sony gift code for Playstation and before I used it, within a day, the card was drained of its balance. Sony said they can do nothing, that its my problem. Ridiculous because nobody had access to the code. I'm no longer buying any Sony products. It's sad because I used to think of them as a quality product provider. My family has had $5,000 TVs and expensive laptops in the past from them. Their customer support is no good though.

I had to send a pair of headphones (WF1000XM3 model) for replacement as they were not functional when I bought them. I had the warranty (for a year) but still had to pay for shipment to get a replacement. This was in June. Then I emailed Sony in August as I still had not had any news about the shipment of my replacement pair. I received an answer at on 03-08-2023 saying they had some issues, but I would get the new pair within 7-10 days. In September, I had to contact them again (many emails, calling (wasting my time for hours on the phone, and re-explaining the situation again and again). They told me that they would make sure to follow up on this and get back to me. Still in October, I had no news and not received the replacement pair. I had to get an other new pair of headphones as I needed a pair and couldn't wait for the replacement. I have been sending multiple emails to their service, spoke on the phone with costumer service 3x and even today, they told me the new pair had not been shipped yet, and they need to look into my files to understand what is happening. I asked for any compensation or even just to give me a credit so that I could buy a new pair and complete this process, and they refused. This is unacceptable service, I have wasted time, energy and most importantly, I have still not received anything. I would never recommend buying from Sony as I have never experienced such an unqualified and unacceptable service. All I am asking is to be done with this and never have to deal with them again and they still are refusing to help me. Basically stealing my money my time and my energy.

Pathetic customer service, takes 5 days to get a response and by then the price match offer is over. All part of their game, but probably a blessing as would hate to see their aftersales support.

Why not just make the volume of notifications controllable or same as the one set on a device the headphones are connected. It would be safe to assume that this is some type of grand scheme to defean people by these stupid companies.
The best action cameras on the market.
I used to have a gopro, and in the beginning they were great. But at some point the quality became poor and I needed to look elsewhere and surprisingly enough Sony was the one.
I decided to buy a Sony FDR-X3000 and the quality of video is way better. I am totally satisfied.

Purchased an expensive Sony TV last year and soon had tech problems with it. Several resets were done by Sony techs but each fix was only short term . They told me they would honor the 1 year warranty beyond the year if the same problem persisted . It did .
Contacted Sony and their response was "tough luck " your warranty is up . What !

I bought the Sony Headphone Sony WH-1000XM5 on August 01, 2023. I wanted to register the product with Sony. The Serial Number of the Headphone is:
S01-6977348-U. Sony puts the Model Number at an inaccessible Place, inside the Headphone ear piece, which you have to pry open to locate the Model Number. That is, you have to actually rip the fine delicate leather part that covers your ears!! I paid close to $400 for this Headphone. After great difficulty, I managed to locate the Model Number: YY-2954. Yes, that is what it says on the Headphone!!
The Registration Page on the sony.com website will not accept this Model Number!! Dear Sony, please help!!!!

Never buy any sort of headphones at Sony. The customer service is terrible and they will blame it on customer induced damage if it every faults, even if you’ve been using the the correct way. They will refuse to refund you a product even when it’s within warranty and find a way to blame it on you. They have expensive prices for poor build quality which breaks in under a year and instead of refunding, they will tell you they’ll give you $50 off if you want a new one which is not even a fraction of the cost for an item that will just break again.
Android System is too Bad
My Sony Bravia TV android system is often stuck, I have to reboot it. Annoying!!!
Use caution when thinking of buying Sony products while visiting abroad
I purchased a pair of WH-1000XM4 headphones from Sony USA, but I currently reside in the UK. When my headphones developed a fault within the warranty period, I contacted Sony's customer service for assistance.
Despite the warranty not having any provision requiring me to be a US resident, I was advised that the headphones could not be repaired because I did not have a US address to send them to, and they insisted I should find someone in the US to handle the warranty claim forme. Even when I offered to bear the cost of shipping the headphones to Sony for repair, I was not provided with a any satisfactory solution.
As a loyal customer of Sony, I was extremely disappointed by the level of service I received. The company clearly does not prioritize customer satisfaction or stand behind their products. I would caution anyone against purchasing Sony products unless they are absolutely sure they will not need to rely on the company's customer service for support.
Upgraded product...downgraded features!
We upgraded to the BR-55A95K for it's many features, from a Sony XBR-55A8F. The displaced unit (which is working fine) is to be transported to another home. Sales Rep. (Best Buy) assured us that the new TV was at the very least...similar, in fact it was quite enhanced. Unfortunately, it wasn't across the board! In our case...it was missing a very important feature the older (2018 model) unit had. The ability to output an audio signal to the on-board speakers as well as...Headphones simultaneously. This is a critical issue...as I suffer from documented Hearing loss and my Wife...enjoys well above average hearing. She actually suffers pain and discomfit from trying to listen at my required level of volume. Without a practical work-around (according to Sony) the new set will have to be returned. Which requires us to engage someone to return the set to Best Buy. At 80+ I'm not able to do this anymore! Although the Store offers free delivery it doesn't (according to Best Buy) provide for free pick-up and return. To at least justify the near $3,000.00 price tag (shop around to verify current pricing)...one would think it would have all the "bells and whistles" found on older TV’s. We’ve always purchased…and enjoyed, Sony products. So this is a disappointment.
Sony Online Store TV Damaged
Purchased a 75" X85K 4K Ultra HD TV from the Sony online store. I had to follow up on shipping a couple of times. We booked it in for the installation and when it was put on the wall and the protective cardboard removed the screen was smashed. I contacted Sony who have said it is not their problem so I am stuck with a rather large and very expensive piece of rubbish. Absolutely disgusting.
