Bad company

Do not order a HP direct from the company. I ordered a new laptop. After two days it stopped working after 15 hours on the phone with them I still can't get it returned. I have never experienced anything like this from a reputable company. Run away as fast as you can

The most horrifying experience I had…

The most horrifying experience I had with any customer support on a laptop that fundamental for my work. Laptop within premium warranty lost during transport! Data lost, upgrades lost, 3 months with dozens of calls with innumerous transfers to multiple departments. Lots of promises of resolving with nothing being done. At this point I got to talk to and know half of the HP Customer support office for laptops getting operators that already know me and my case. No Callbacks as promised were ever done. The case was escalated finally to Customer Relations when I threatened to sue (only option left), and that is the only moment I got any support.
They denied the possibility to refund my laptop as they said an investigation with UPS gives out that I refused the collection of the laptop from UPS, and that is simply NOT TRUE!! The UPS collector came without the box (claimed he forgot) and that he would take the laptop and put it in the box when getting to the UPS center. Next day another UPS driver comes to collect the laptop, I inform them a colleague came the day before and he leaves.
Result, I remain without a laptop, UPS denies accountability, HP which contracted UPS for the handling of the transportation of the laptop denies responsability, and the customer is left empty-handed and forced to talk daily with the most inefficient customer support I have ever experienced without a guarantee of THEIR UNIT!!!

HP NEVER AGAIN... PERIOD.

Terrible customer service and I don’t know how to return a product

Order SCEO38214196
I bought a charger from HP store and I don’t need it anymore and I’m having a hard time to return it.
On their website, the instructions does not follow for the return. I’m calling but they transfer me and nobody solve or the number they give me doesn’t exist. When I bought it, I thought this is a trustworthy company so I should not worry. Now I see we can’t trust even in big brands anymore.

We used to think that HP stood for…

We used to think that HP stood for quality. So for our business, over a timespan of 3 years, we bought 11 HP laptops. 1 of them the hinges broke within 2 years. Okay can happen, now we have a laptop where the charging over the USB-C broke within 5 months. So lets try HP Support. This has been the most Kafkaesk experience for a long time. Hours listening to waiting music on the phone, being redirected multiple times, a ticketing system that does not properly record their own assessments, so every time you have to start from scratch, contradicting results, and no way to escalate your experience.

We should have known, after buying two 'identical' HP monitors for a single workstation we noted that they had different color displays, so we switched to Liyama monitors, less expensive and better quality.

After our HP printers were consuming toners at crazy speed, we switched to Brother Printers and substantially brought down our printing costs.

The HP docking stations could not meet the specs of the DELL docking stations. But we bought one anyway, okay that ended up in a box somewhere at our office. All our workstations are now equipped with DELL docking stations, yes they are more expensive but it is worth it.

And now the laptops, just bought 2 Lenovos, better specs for less money. So let's hope we don't have to deal with Lenovo tech support, but one thing for sure it can't be worse than HP.

You don't have to take my word on this, just google "hp netherlands reviews" and you will see that we were kind enough providing a 2 star review.

Looking at this from our perspective, I would say HP is a company in decline.

Poor policies, poor support, poor communication

We ordered three laptops, turns out they had the wrong display ports for our needs. Two of the boxes were completely unopened, but HP would not take them back, even though we were happy to pay more money for the correct model (since we used a business address not a personal address, they say refunds/returns are not possible).

Their technical support was also very poor when asking for advice on how to use the laptops with a dual screen setup (they basically told me to google for a solution).

We also asked to be put in touch with a business representative as we wanted to buy a server (which will cost around EUR20k), and there was no reply to this. We ended up buying our server via Dell.

Dure computer beschadigd en foute specs geen reactie HP

Levering: gewoon zonder aanbellen voor de deur gezet.
Behuizing was beschadigd. De verpakking niet.
Specs ssd uitbreidingsslot zijn fout.
Windows was beschadigd.
Zelf maar € 200,- reparatie laten doen.
Onderstaand bericht aan post sales wordt niet beantwoord.
Had ik maar een ander merk gekozen.
HP was top nu gedowngrade!!
Go suppose verwees mij naar het adres van de manager.
Kijk helemaal onderaan voor een hilarische desinteresse van ene Maria Soler.
Dear Manager,

I’ve been a valued client of the HP products for over 15 years. Therefore my choice for the 5th time for a replacement of my desktop by a HP product was obvious to me.

I want to bring my somewhat disappointing experience to your attention, see below:

1. Computer turned out to have been delivered by simply placing it at my front door, Without ringing (we were at home) and I was under the impression that a signature for receival was required.

2. The case was damaged, while the box was undamaged

3. On the site, the specs include:
Expansion Slots: 1 PCIe x16
3 M.2 (2 for SSD, 1 for WLAN)
However, there is only one free SSD slot.

4. The free slot did not recognize my 2tb Samsung M2 SSD. I then exchanged the pre-installed C drive and then both were recognized.

5. The installed Windows file was corrupted.

Because I don't have time to make arrangements for a return and the need for this computer (old one crashed), I have had a company nearby solve this for my own account (Euro 160,=)

Would you please reply to me what measures have been taken to avoid that other customers experience the same troubles?

Furthermore I want to complement the support team for there way of communication.
They were very polite but of course could not solve this otherwise than advise to return the computer.

Kind regards,
Klaas de Poel

Mijn antwoord:
Beste Maria,

Groeten,
Klaas

Printer fails and so does customer service.

HP printer once again refuses to connect with laptop. Looking for help on HP website first gets me on an endless do-loop of choosing passwords and usernames and verifying email address. Then I finally get a response that completely ignores the question that was asked. Stay away from HP if you are not a tech guy who can fix stuff yourself.

HP NL Sale laptop delivery cancelled by HP. What a nonsense.

Had very negative experience with HP NL Store: Ordered a laptop on sale and then after a couple of days this very much anticipated order has been cancelled by HP with a “technical reason”. Helpless customer support with zero interest in their customers.

Question to HP: if they can not deliver sales item (guarantee sale price) - why to put an item on sale? Will never use it again and would not recommend to any of my friends. It is just a waste it time. Now still have to wait for ~10 working days for my money to be returned. What a nonsense company!

Out of the box issue not solved for over a year.

Commercial laptop, over 2,5k.
Out of the box audio issue - have to refresh any video after 10-20 minutes because of audio delay.

For OVER A YEAR they are not able to help. Over and over, calling and calling, taking weeks to answer - all of that on extended warranty.

Worst experience ever, I am miserable using their product and I regret ever getting it.

very bad service

If someone want to order laptop from HP better to read it before ordering.
I ordered, laptop from HP, 08:08:PM EST, May 14, 2021 See screenshot below.
Shipping canceled 3 times and revised ship date.
I chat and called to company 100 times, during this time, wanted to change my order they said no. you can find information about changing and cancelling of order on the web site see (screen shot ). But when you want to do it , the answer is NO.
There is no one to tell you true information. Persons who is chatting with you have no information or they don’t want to give you true information. They update information on the web site 3-4 days after ship date.
It is unbelievable that the biggest technology company of USA treat their customers like that.
I have no experience with other companies, but I would not recommend you to order computer from HP.
sorry , could not attach or place the screenshots here

One day I'll get a nice laptop..

I wanted to exchange a laptop that I got but HP wants to charge me $99 to return it, wait 5-10 days (after they get it.. probs be more like 15 since it was late after I paid for express shipping that they won't refund) pay $200+ for the one I want because it's more expensive (that part is understandable) then send me the new one but ONLY if they have it in stock they won't even hold one for me until after they inspect the one I bought that's not even opened or even in my hands! I would just have to wait a month down $300 to maybe get the laptop OR get a refund and whoever I talked to in freaking Alladin town couldn't answer me how long that would end up taking. Trash. Garbage. BS. I should of gone to Amazon or hell Walmart even I'm not paying them another cent I'm just going to keep the one I have so I can use it to warn everyone else online not to buy from them directly. WORST MISTAKE IVE EVER MADE!!!!

Do NOT buy from HP!!!

Do NOT buy from HP!!!! Their customer service is non existent! I was just spoken to in an awful manner for something that’s entirely their fault. I asked to speak to a supervisor or complaints dept and apparently you have to write to them at a postal address!
They’re working from home, calls are not recorded, so they speak to you like s**t and then hung up on me.

Stay away from HP Store

On 11-28, I purchased an HP Spectre x360 on Black Friday for my daughters Xmas present. Delivery date 12-22. I just received notification the delivery date has been move to next year, January 4, 2021. I called to cancel my order to buy a Lenovo or Dell. HP wants to charge me a $200 15% restocking fee for something that was never delivered. Now my daughter Xmas present will be late and I'm stuck with the Spectre. I would of never ordered the laptop had I known this piece of junk was made and shipped from China.

Last month I also experienced poor customer service when I purchased a HP Z27n refurb monitor from Ronnie Carrell at HP refurb. They sent me a cheap 24in. $99 monitor instead of the HP Z27n 2K monitor. When I called Ronnie at HP, he acted as if I trying to scam them out of a monitor. He made me send multiple photos of the cheap 24in $99 monitor to prove HP sent me the wrong monitor. He then stop answering his phone and email messages. I experienced very poor customer service, I never received an invoice and it took forever to get my refund.

Also, be wary of ordering from the HP Store by phone. My sales rep used the bait and switch method. He tried to sale a an HP Envy for the price of a Spectre. Very shady business practice to say the least.

Also, If you log on to your account and try to chat with HP, the link doesn't work. If I log out of my account, the chat link works. So it appears they have code to determine if you are a customer with a complaint or a new sales order. That's some serious shady business practice.

Stay far away from HP Store. This place is like a used car dealership. They offer nothing but lies and deceit. They deleted every bad review I tried posting on the site.

HP IS A SCAM OF A PLACE

I have bought a headset for a Christmas gift on November 30th, was promised that it would be delivered before Christmas. Surprise nothing has been delivered. Contacted FedEx but it wasn't on there side. Turns out my package has never left the HP place. Contacted HP and went through so many people and the "problem was solved." Now it was promised to be delivered before Christmas. Surprise Surprise, its near Christmas and my order has not been processed. Such a waste never ever ever buy anything from HP, STAY AWAY!
