These are garbage cordless tool with there horrible batteries. The tech on them are just crap. There's time you need to reset your batteries WTF is that, it's a battery Not a rocket. Just plain crap system. Again it's a battery. Never buy these over tech and over priced tools. Rigid tool have a life time of trouble free working tools plain and simple. No more bills just buy and use simple.

Recently purchased a SHA56 Stihl battery blower/vac system. Seemed to work very well so I figured I'd get another battery. At the time I purchased the blower/vac they had a promotion on with a FSA 60R string trimmer that came with a AK20 and one charging base. Added another AK30 and AK30 S batteries and So that's one trimmer, blower/vac and three batteries in total.
The reason for the one star review is not so much the Stihl products of which I've purchased a lot but the support I got recently (or should I say non existent support).
At one point when I was switching from blower to vac the safety cap that is attached to the main body of the unit with a springed plastic hinge just broke. I decided to contact support through the Canadian Stihl support portal. Filled in the required info and never heard back. After a month I figured I'd try again. This time I received a response scolding me that I already had a case number for this issue and they will delete this new one. Very abruptly I must say. After another 4-5wks I decided to submit another request for support. Crickets now...
After all the Stihl products I've purchased over the years this is very disappointing. All I really wanted to know is if this can be repaired by availability of a new housing, if by possible it would be covered under warranty as it seems like a poor design in the hinge arrangement.
Speaking of poor design. The FSA 60R string trimmer is completely useless unless your trimming grass only and never come into contact with any hard surfaces. Coming up to any hard surface and the string will break. Tried larger dia string as recommended by my dealer and still crap. After 5ft you'll be re-stringing the head all day. Frustrating to say the least. All other product purchased have been great and there's has been a lot over the years. Very disappointing.

I purchased a STIHL Model 460V self propelled lawn mower and I just received it today. It took maybe 30 minutes to read the essentials in the manual to ensure safe and proper operation.

As with two other STIHL products I already own, this mower did not disappoint. It has a AK-30 battery which provided 27 minutes of mowing time on 3 out of 4 bars, which means it would last 36 minutes od mowing time on a full charge.

The self-propelled mechanism works great, I love the variable speed which is easy and intuitive to adjust. Everything in terms of controls is easily accessible.

My 3500 ft2 lawn was mowed in 27 minutes and it was fairly long grass. It worked perfectly!

As usual it was an excellent experience and I want also to shout out to Bay Rentals in Tantallon NS Canada for great service as a reliable STIHL dealer.
