Stepsweb has really helped my son break words down into chunks of sound and improved his decoding ability. Great variety of activities to practice different skills. Engaging and not ‘babyish’ for older learners. Have seen good results with school students too.

A fun way to learn to read
Really useful language building with a strong emphasis on phonics as a means of learning to read. Tasks are short and achievable and give many and varied approaches to help learning - matching, listening, reading, finding and some fun letter-based games interspersed. My younger son liked helping his big school-aged brother so much that I got him his own account. The creators are easy to contact and responsive, with direct, useful answers to any questions.
