How can you be so bad?

I travel a lot for work, and have used Stayright several times for accommodation in Wales. The places have been generally good, clean and as advertised, but getting into them has consistently been a nightmare.

Most recently, my colleagues and I arrived at an apartment where we had been informed "the door will be remotely unlocked on arrival."

This could not have been further from the truth. We arrived to find the place locked- with very clearly bog-standard door locks. There was no way these were getting unlocked 'remotely'.

So, we called Stayright support who, hand it to them, did their best to help; but only after forcing me to send my ID to their WhatsApp, and then trying to claim I didn't have a booking for that night.

I finally convinced them that actually, yes, I had booked that night, and was me, and we finally moved into 'finding a solution', which with Stayright support means "We think one person knows where the key is, but we can't get hold of her."

An hour passes. We go to get dinner, which, not being - say - a family with small children, we could do. I can't imagine the stress this would have caused if I had had my children with me, at 7pm on a Sunday, and been unable to get into the house.

Eventually, I get a call back from Stayright, who tell me that the key is... Under the doormat. Not in a lockbox, not in one of those fake stones, just under the doormat. This is so- one key, no fob, underneath the doormat. Nah, I'm sure nobody took the other one or copied this one and put it back. Sleep well everyone.

How can you fail on so many levels? How is the key left in such an insecure place? How does nobody but one person know where it is? How does it take over an hour to find out?

Apologies for hopelessly mismanaging the most basic aspect of renting out a property? Nah. Refunds or a discount for the inconvenience? Nope.

Steer clear. These people are regularly incompetent, persistently unhelpful and clearly disorganised. Personally, I'm sticking with hotels now in case the apartment I rent turns out to be managed by Stayright.

Advertised Airbnbs they do not even own

HORRIFIC COMPANY - Advertised a place on Airbnb which they didn't even own, and the listing is still up! Moved us halfway across Cardiff to a far worse, smaller, dirtier place after they already helped us check in to SOMEONE ELSE's place. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM, EVER.

Awful customer service.

Apartment in Swansea was advertised as suitable for 4 people and with a separate bedroom. It was a single room apartment and the sofa bed was a single with no bed linen for it. When we called to try and resolve these issues they were wholly interested in helping. Woeful customer service.
