Another person feeling scammed...

I booked through booking.com and paid at the beginning of April for a stay at Baker Street starting 23 May. The booking was cancelled on 5 May, causing me great inconvenience.

Since then, I have heard nothing from the company and have not been refunded. I contacted Booking.com on 2 June and have still not had a refund. Today I have been assured that Booking.com will arrange for the refund within the next 5 days. We'll see!

Scammers… do not book with them

Scammers… do not book with them. Booked in Mar for a property in SoHo for 4 days in May. They cancelled the booking a week before and since then both myself and booking.com have been chasing them to get my full refund back which was cancelled during the full free cancellation period. No response by Stayo via booking.com and their phone number is no longer in service. I have been chasing them now for over 2 months and no success being over £2500 out of pocket still. Such a bad experience.

SCAM - Do not book!

SCAM! Booked via booking.com for a stay in London in June. Stayo then became uncontactable and booking.com could also not get in contact with them. I raised this with Stayo over a month ago and have no response, booking.com are also working on a refund but it seems this is a wider issue.

Booked with them with free…

Booked with them with free cancellation. They took $3400 out of our CC and then cancelled our booking a few weeks later. Still waiting for a refund nearly two months later. Do not book with this company, it’s not worth the risk, they do not deserve anyone’s business.

Booked their Queensberry place…

Booked their Queensberry place apartment through booking.com.
They took full payment then cancelled couple weeks later stating they no longer manage the property. I have been going back and forth between booking and Stayo since with both claiming the other is responsible for making the refund.
Meanwhile I’m £100s out of pocket.
I see other have also had the same issue with both companies and this property. Why is this allowed to happen?? How do they get away with it??!

Great location

Great location, felt secure, good views. Ideal for a city break. Spacious bedrooms each with a balcony. Lots of bars nearby, can be quite noisy. Needs a good clean, floors were very dirty. Rubbish under sofa still. Bathrooms and walls need a quick touch up. Sofas felt grumpy. If this was done the rating could be 5.

UK Stayo property management SCAM…

UK Stayo property management SCAM online customers via Booking.com , trip advisors website etc eg Queensbury Place property. They request full payment during booking and never credit card refund back during their so called refundable period . The hotels booking website should not allow their properties to get listed to prevent further online customers getting scammed.

DO NOT BOOK

Still waiting on a refund for a 'fully refundable' booking that was to be 30 days, now nearly 60 days and they're still having 'technical difficulties'. So frustrating getting the same prewritten response each time. Wish I'd read these reviews first to see that it's a universal experience.

Do not use this company!

I am still having a dreadful time and no success with getting a refund from this company following cancelling my booking (which was on free cancellation terms)
I heartily wish I had read some of those other reviews as this seems to be an almost universal experience. I keep being told there are IT issues which are preventing me getting my £1000 back.

A refurbishment is well overdue.

We stayed at Stayo Covent Garden and have stayed before on several occasions. It used to be lovely but now it is well overdue a refurb. Everywhere is tired and the walls and floors etc are just covered in marks and dents. The bed and mattress both need replacing, the shower room is ridiculously tiny with no shelving at all to put even a toothbrush!
Such a pity as it used to be great. We won’t be returning.

Great place that needs a facelift

The appartment was not perfect, but still very nice. The location was perfect. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Appartment was also spacious with sufficient space for a small family.
The place does need some love. Drains in the bathroom are a bit clogged, when taking a shower the tub fills like a bath, the same for the washing table and the sink. Everything feels a bit worn out.
Still, we would consider staying there again during our next visit.

We had a pleasant stay at Queensberry…

We had a pleasant stay at Queensberry Place London.Location is good, nearby restaurants, cafes, museums and underground.
Overall the apartment was pretty equipped and clean. Staffs and Stayo team were helpful in terms of assistance and follow-up emails. Will definitely be back for my next visit to London

Good value

Negatives- no microwave, no oven mitt/tea towel to remove hot item from the oven, no tongs/spatula, no lift access and walk up stairs is difficult with luggage.

Awesome overnight stay experience!! Really enjoyed our time spend there. Nice and clean apartment with all needed supplys. Loved it.
Peaceful and safe surroundings, sound sleep.! Easy acess to local shops and train station which is a big positive. Extra towels and fully equiped kitchen. Warm and cosy inside- babies enjoyed evening tucked in sofa bed. Lovely !! Thankyou for turning our holiday stay wonderful. Highly recomended ,especially for families.
